2023 April 4β˜… Right by Birkdale Ravine, which is located in the watershed of Highland Creek is the mostdeveloped watershed in the Toronto region. Its location and connectivityto other natural areas such as Morningside Park, Birkdale Ravine functions as a migration corridor for birds and other wildlife. At this spot, you'll find about 40 trees planted in 2016 under The Sakura Tree Planting Project which celebrated 25 Years as Friendship Cities with the City of Sagamihara, Japan. Nearby, a playground great for the kids. Parking at the official lot, or in neighbouring side streets.

Mesmerizing spring view. Sakura blooming season. A perfect getaway spot after a hard working tiring day. Soaking sun during sunset and fabulous nature give you most soothing feeling.

This is a ravine within the residential area, 45 young cherry trees are planted as a tunnel as said on website. We went there on 24 Apr 2023 morning, parked the car just outside the park entrance along Lyon Heights. Perhaps it is still early the season or because of the rain, there is not much cherry being blossom. If come here for Sakura, you will be disappointed. Advantage is there is no crowd and it is a nice park for leisure short walk.

It was a good walk to finally get a glimpse of splendid view of young (~25 years old) ~ 20 cherry blossom trees. It wasn't too crowded. There are parking lots very close to these spots. Good photo Opp in nature's wilderness. Best thing to arrive here is with a bike!

Had to get out to see the cherry blossoms before they went away! Usually go on Mothers day but they we earlier with the warm weather. Thought a shot at dusk would be good but so did a few othersπŸ˜…. There was still street parking next to the entrance by the cherry blossoms.

Cherry blossom season. As you may know, the park is a beautiful place to enjoy the outdoors and take in the natural beauty that surrounds us. Unfortunately, I regret that there is no parking available within the park itself. I want to assure you that this should not discourage you from visiting the park. In fact, I encourage you to embrace the opportunity to take a brief walk and fully immerse yourself in the beauty of the surrounding area. Walking to the park not only allows you to avoid these risks but also provides an opportunity to enjoy some fresh air and exercise.

Around 30 young Sakura cherry trees at the park next to the address shown on Google. No other cherry trees in the Birkdale ravine. Flower is in full bloom today and the trees are close to each other. When they mature in 10 or 20 years time, they may be too close. No ticket is needed.

Cherry blossom trees available here... they are donated by Japan back in 2016. Relatively young trees but still beautiful.
