Great view to the sea, wonderful walking place, nice beach, calm and lovely area. The biggest value of this hotel is its staff. Nice, and helpful. Indoor and outdoor Swimming pool, gym, spa, horse club, children game park, tennis, bicycle, bicycle parking, plenty area for parking, bus parking,.... . Breakfast was good. Building is old and need remodeling but room are clean. Good value for the money.

The hotel is located in a fantastic location with sea and mountain views. The staff is very friendly and always available to help. Very efficient. The check-in and check-out was easy and straight forward. The pools are very well maintained and spotless clean. However some of the spa facilities are closed due to the covid. The games room is available but is not included in the hotel price (1 hour pool is charged 6€). The breakfast is buffet with plenty of choice and very well presented. They also provide fresh bread every morning. The rooms are in urgent need of renovation with old fashion deco. The hotel follows the covid 19 regulations and its very safe.

This place have such a wonderful location. Close to Lisbon and surrounded with nature - River, mountain, ocean and thermae baths... Quite calm and with lots of activities to do like horse riding or enrol the kids club for a day to keep your kids busy. The three pools are also goods when you want to relax or when the weather is not that great, cause one of the pool is covered and the water is warm. The beach is small, not windy and crowded and have a few good restaurants. You can seat or walk along the river and watch a few animals. Or maybe take a bike or walk in the wooden paths that are close to the hotel. The buffet is good with a lot of food variety and the personal is very friendly. The rooms are improving slowly and some have air conditioning. It's a amazing deal for the price that you pay. I recommend it to down to earth families that have kids cause they offer a very good family package (breakfast and diner, one 1hour/day at the kids club and a afternoon snack)!

This hotel is in an amazing location. We stayed for three nights in May and had a sea view room. We could have easily just stayed on the balcony watching the ocean - it was spectacular! The rooms are a little basic and ready for updating, but they are comfortable and spacious and are perfectly acceptable. During our first evening my heart sank when 3 busloads of teenagers arrived on a school trip. But my concerns were unfounded - the hotel managed the large group brilliantly. There was no sound from them at night (the rooms are well soundproofed and the sound of the ocean also helps) and the school kids had their own area at breakfast, where they did not disturb the rest of the guests. Breakfast was exceptional - huge choice and very high quality. All the staff were delightful and the standard of cleanliness was excellent. The hotel is handy for driving to Lisbon and Sintra and there are plenty of nice restaurants nearby. We have already planned to return.

It's a really nice hotel in Porto Santo! I used to go there a lot when I was little to use the pools and I always loved it! Has a fantastic view of the ocean! Went this time for a mini moon and we enjoyed our stay, the food and the outside pool! Really nice stay!

I spent there a weekend - the staff is not as friendly and welcoming as they should be - for day and a half I didn’t have Wi-Fi , staff did nothing to solve that problem - on second day of staying they didn’t clean my room, and after me calling them in the evening/ night 22:00h they asked me if I wanted them to change the sheets at that time - GYM is only opening after 9 o’clock which doesn’t make sense for families with kids and people that have strict routine -25€ dinner is not worth it, really poor quality - the hotel is really old and outdated - room walls are so thin that I could hear everything from room next door - I couldn’t turn off the heater in my room - my room had a carpet on the floor which provoked allergic reactions to me and my wife and kids( it was cleaned god knows when) - toiled smelled pretty bad from the moment we moved in ( even without the use ) I definitely do not recommend this hotel…

Decent size rooms, all cleaned. Beautiful view with a veranda! The hotel restaurant is also very good, a variety to choose from for breakfast and good meals.

We got a romantic pack from Odisseias. We received no information about check-in time, arrived at 3 p.m and the room wasn't ready. Instead of asking us if we'd like to wait at the bar or get our luggage, they did nothing. At the bar, the two employees were anything but helpful or nice. The tables on the terrace (you come here for the view) were almost all used up by a group of people doing team building, which spread across every terrace of the hotel. The bartender reluctantly brought two chairs and drinks and said the rest would have to be asked for at the bar, no table service...the bar had no one there. The pack included a welcome tea, but until now, there was no tea, and honestly, no welcome. The TV stopped working twice. Besides two young ladies at the front desk, nobody was actually helpful or showed any initiative. Hope the spa circuit makes up for the rest, but I doubt it. Angry pregnant lady.

The room is nice and clearn. When you are a tourist you needs some basic things like glas in the bathroom for brushing your teeth or something to hang your wet clothes.

Excellent view. Nice and quiet on the top floors. Nice staff. Good indoor and outdoor pools, very kid friendly. Simple but good breakfast. Good sauna and gym. Bathroom needed some renovations. Just 2 main elevators are not enough for the amount of people using it.

Fabulous location overlooking the Ocean listening to the waves crashing on the rocks, no A/C , had to have windows and balcony door open. Rooms need decorating and carpet was threadbare in places. The lift was a big problem, 2 small lifts to service a large hotel, waited 20 mins on most times and had to carry my luggage down 7 floors

Stayed there many years ago, before it was renovated and it seems a lot more comfortable now. Breath-taking view, anyway, straight over the ocean. More recently went there several times for a great buffet on a large dinning-room, again with splendid views through panoramic windows. Very quiet neighbourhood, with many different beaches within reach (all good), plus golf course, horse-centre, etc. I live too close to go there on holiday but I certainly would if I were coming from abroad or other part of the country.

Very good hotel! The pools are amazing and you also have an exclusive path to the beach if you prefer that. Also has plenty of activities to keep children busy. Definitely coming back soon

This hotel due to its view and location has a potential to be a 5-star hotel, but it is really 3 stars mostly due to its old style indoor design and furniture that requires renovation. View 10/5 - really incredible view from the balcony and literally the ocean is so loud at night you might need to sleep in earplugs. View of the mountains is beautiful too. You can hear the ocean all the time in your room - really remarkable and unforgettable, never experienced something like that in any other hotel in the world. Staff 5/5 - overall excellent, especially at the bar and cleaning ladies. Food 3/5 - just okey, breakfast is like 3 star hotel, bar has a lot of good food options as well. Coffee 1,5 Eur, Tosta mista - 4,5, wine - 3,5 (all in €). I really liked the bar, I would surely rate it higher. A la Carte Dinner - really great 5/5, restores my faith in Portuguese cuisine, for 21 Eur you get appetizer, meal, dessert and water. Tastes really delicious and unique and the supervisor Sergio is amazing and attentive. The food is served between 7:30-10:30 pm and you should book it in advance. It is much better choice than restaurants/ marisqueirais is Santa Cruz or around. See the pictures below. I never liked this type of dinners at hotels, but this was really a good choice. You should promote your dinner menu off season to non hotel guests, the restaurant in Vimeiro are not worth the money. Surroundings 5/5 - I was here in November and during the week the beach is literally empty, bars and restaurants are closed some days. You can however climb up the mountains etc. It felt very intimate. If you have a car, you can travel to Santa Cruz or other locations (still very empty in November). Spa facilities 4/5 - indoor swimming pool is huge, biggest I have ever seen in any hotel, warm water. Sauna is just okey - turkish bath and finnish sauna. Overall okey, but very outdated design. It is mandatory to swim in a cap - you can buy it here for 5 €. You will get daily new towels. Rooms 4/5 - big rooms, enough space, but the design, curtains, furniture are simply old and makes you feel like in 70s. Bed is comfortable. There is a little fridge. You will get a little bottle of water every day. Each room has a balcony, which is great plus. My room had cello tape on the curtains and falling paint from furniture - this is hard to accept in any type of hotel. Cleanliness- 5/5, everywhere very clean. Covid-19 safe. Kids - lots of activities possible - there is some entertainment park, horses, right behind the corner. Conferences - it looks like a good place for conferences too - lots of meetings rooms. Hotel is generally huge. Parking - for free I missed also a kettle in the room, water to drink in the spa area and a modern hair dryer. I missed some salats / veggies for breakfast. Overall a great place to stay if you do not mind the outdated design and old furniture. I hope to come back one day to a renovated hotel. The view and experience of staying so close to the ocean is one of a kind. This place has a massive potential.

Great location. However didn't accommodate a request of converting a twin bed into a double bed.

Rooms need updating, but was clean, the bed was comfortable, and view was spectacular. Loved hearing the waves crashing all night and spending time on the balcony.

We stayed at this hotel for one night on August 13th. I don't usually write a bad review, but here I have to. first of all, the room we got was dirty (sand all over the bathroom and in the bathtub, strange stains on the armchairs). apart from the fact that the hotel is very old, there are only 2 lifts for 12 floors!! not practical at all. you can find a better hotel in Portugal for less! we are disappointed. the view is not worth the price. the view does not justify the 3 stars.

The hotel's location is amazing due to the view you get from the Londres Bar balcony, the outdoor pool or the sea view rooms. The food is excellent. We chose half board and we couldn't be more satisfied. Top quality and variety to choose from. The same applies to breakfast. The rooms are well kept and pretty clean. The outdoor pool is also good as well as the pool bar. And, last but not least, all the staff was very friendly and willing to satisfy all your needs.

Competent hotel. You can tell it has some years under its belt and the older rooms might need an upgrade (AC for instance) but the rest does help make up for it. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the big indoor and outdoor pools, wide rooms for meals and cleanliness seemed on point overall. Nice bar area too. Private access to a nice beach as well. Would have no issue coming back and staying again.

I really liked my stay in the Hotel Golf Mar! The staff is super friendly, the food is nice and you can choose from many options. You have a beautiful view over the local beaches and the sea. The hotel room is somewhat outdated but very clean. I can recommend the place for some quite days and relaxation or business meetings.

Very nice place directly at sea. The hotel turns you back to the 70s. Looks like they stopped investing for many years. On the other hand staff is friendly with good service. For the price everything was quite okay. The view from our room at last floor was impressive. Excellent fish restaurant next to the beach of Porto Novo. A lot of nature to explore

Situated on the top of a cliff, just over the sea with breathtaking views to the surrounding sea and beaches. It has a good service and a lot of amenities, including large areas of playgrounds and horse rides. It has also indoor swimming pool, massage, sauna and Turkish bath. Special measures in place due to covid 19 pandemic.

Nice staff. My room smelled a bit like cigarettes in the first day, but everything was great after. Very clean and very good food.
