We had the scallops and a burger. Both were good. Also had creme brulee which was good as well. Wine and beer options were decent.

We came here as a group during a tour of France. The escargot was delish. The fish and creme brulee was not bad either. Dinng indoors and outdoors. More seating upstairs available. We had live entertainment as well.

We went there as a family of 4 and we reserved with a few days in advance,and in arrival we had one of the best tables in the house,but shortly after we were told this table was already reserved,so we were moved to one of the most horrible tables possible,out in the cold,badly covered by the rain and almost no lighting. At one point a server came to give us our food,and asked if we wanted water,we said yes so he left and more than 10min later he’s still not here,so we ask him again and he agrees and comes back 5min later and gives the water bottle to another table

My daughter and I absolutely loved this place... Best fish and chips I've had in Tours! We almost didn't go in because I thought there was no kid's meal, but I was wrong and it was great value for money! There were a mix of clientele, who all seemed to be well taken care of... Even the dog's were given bowls of water 👏. Would certainly recommend 👍🏾

Came alone and had a steak, which was excellent. Nice pinot noir to combine with it. I was offered a bottle of tap water for free and some complimentary bread and olives. Service was quick and kind and English wasn't a problem. I don't understand some of the complaints, must have been back luck then!

On our way to Spain we decided to spend our night in Tours, only to visit Madeleine. We had visited it once more some months ago and we very much enjoyed the excellent hospitality and the great food.

The food is good but the service is poor Waited for long long while to get my order. I even asked one waiter but then he disappear. I have to go to the counter to tell them what I want. Also when I finished I asked for the bill, all the waiters are monkeying around. I shall do all the table service next time for myself.

Brasserie Madeleine was a real shame, primarily due to the service. The food was average across the board, bar the steak cookery which was well below average. My “medium-rare” steak actually ended up being medium-rare, rare and well done all at the same time (each part of the meat was cooked differently!), something I’d not yet seen before prior to this meal. The sauce with the steak was basically just butter and the tiramisu was not a tiramisu, but rather a pot of cream. The service is what really upset me though as we were treated very strangely from the moment we sat down. My boyfriend and I are both black and in our early twenties, which might explain why we were almost being “watched” whilst eating… It was incredibly unfortunate to see - as soon as our spoons touched the bottom of the dessert jar, we were called over to come and pay immediately. The restaurant was not full, nor close to closing, so we found the surveillance and rush to get us to pay to be rather strange. There was also a waiter training a more junior member of staff that evening and humiliating him in front of everyone, raising his voice when the staff member got something wrong. This made us feel even more uncomfortable. Overall, we had a bad experience at Brasserie Madeleine and would not recommend it.

Big Brasserie in the heart of Tours. Nice design, big menu for food and drinks. Prices higher average. Kids high chairs available. Wheelchair accessible. We visited on a Sunday evening and experienced a very slow start of service. As more waiting staff arrived (after 18:30) service picked up. The food arrived super fast and was good. It was very busy from 19:00 onwards and very cramped up. It was difficult to get the waiter’s attention as there were a lot of people and he was obviously very busy.

It's not worth reserving a table at the Brasserie Madeleine, since it seems they do not pay any attention to reservations . One week before, Ireserved a table for 3, after the theatre, at 10h00. Arrived 10h05, with no one to welcome, and when eventually someone turned up, there was no pretence of looking for a reservation, just that a table for three would eventually become available upstairs. The service was slow, the jarret de porc undercooked and, in short, a pretty disastrous experience. In their defence, the restaurant was completely full, with simply not enough staff to cater, those who were there were rushed off their feet, and attempting to do their best.

Great restarunt in thr main street of Tours. The service was great. We had some vegeterian meals and indeed it was worth it. Not too much expensive although the restarunt looks very fancy. Opens until late and the staff is very skilled. I would come recomend. Enjoy

Excellent dinner at Brasserie Madeleine. Friendly and attentive service, lively atmosphere, excellent food and good portion sizes. Would definitely return!

Restaurant was very nice and the wait staff was very professional. The lack of and English menu made ordering a little difficult. Our server, Gwen, did her best to help us out. The food we finally ordered was very good.

My Scallops with quinoa was very very good. My husband had a burger, which I had a few bites. I wasn't a fan. The Pinot Gris was good

I went there today and I wanted a norvégien salade in my salade there weren't any shrimps which was Indicated in menu. the cocky waiter didn't even mention it. I myself do not know whether we received such a service because our French is insufficient. It was a complete disappointment for me. I have eaten on 4 continents I have never seen such arroganervice. when i wanted to split the bill the waiter cut the bill from only one person and her attitude really upset me

We had a lovely dinner on the terrace, oysters were delightful, filet prepared perfectly, with a moderately priced cote du Rhône. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient and spoke excellent English with a smile. Perhaps the best meal in Tours of our weeklong stay. Highly recommended.
