Best place to buy handicrafts, souvenirs, wall hangings and miniature paintings at cheapest prices. Only place in udaipur which has prices marked on their product and does not do a scam with tourists. I went to buy just 1 item and instead bought 5 items 😊 Amazing shop with wide range of varieties located in 300 years old building very near to bagore ki haveli and jagdish temple.

We took a miniature painting class here. 1000 per person, includes all the materials and lasted 3 hours. Very fun, and a great way to gain more of an appreciation for all the hand painted art in the shops all through Udaipur + India.

We had been looking for a Gopashtami for a long time. However on our last year's visit to Udaipur, on a friend's recommendation, we visited this place. The father son duo won't hesitate to spread open their entire collection for you till you find what you're looking for. They have a well priced collection, and we got it for a bargain due to peak COVID season. We got the painting framed in a matt golden frame with a white bound inside.

The shop to go in Udaipur. The owners have done a huge effort to price-mark all the items. Bargaining is not an option but the prices are so competitive that will always be cheaper on what you can get elsewhere. And by not having to deal with the bargaining and pushing to buy, the experience is much more enjoyable. Is the shop to go by domestic visitors, and there are good reasons for it. The owners are very warm, polite, chill and trustworthy. They are making a genuine effort to change the customer experience in Udaipur in their shop but also trying to convince other owners to follow up the same approach. We were looking for a specific artwork which was being sold in other four shops for a starting price between 2-3 of what was being sold in Ashoka Arts. In Ashoka we bought it at the real and reasonable market price, with no need to bargain. Highly recommended!

Good shop with good stock. Pricing is a bit high but worth it if you're ready to spend for souvenirs. Shopkeeper is intelligent.

Large choice, trustworthy staff and very competitive prices are given to foreign tourists without bargaining. I found some interesting modern style paintings made by local artists. I regret my previous purchases made in less trustworthy stores.

Thoroughly enjoyed the art class where we were shown how to draw and paint an elephant. The staff were very patient and friendly. The price was 1000 rupees which was fair and it was one of the first places I didn’t feel like I was being ripped off. I would definitely recommend !

I had such a great experience doing the art class this morning at Ashoka Arts. The booking process was smooth, Mr Ashok could not be more accommodating. Our teacher Hitesh was warm, kind and incredibly talented. I so enjoyed learning about the process of Rajasthani miniature painting while creating my own piece of art. Wonderful experience, highly recommend to all art enthusiasts! Thank you!

I shopped here for some painting souvenirs and had a very nice experience. The shopkeepers were helpful in showing me pieces that I had interest in, and I felt no pressure as I looked through designs and made my selections. They have a range of artist styles, experience levels and prices. I also attended a painting class which was a lovely morning. The instructor was patient and helpful. A nice way to escape the hustle & bustle of udaipur for a morning!
