A great place to sit and hang out with family and friends to the atmosphere of the evening with plenty of traders around to quench your craving taste. Events are sometimes held at the Ibom Plaza like football matches of the Nigerian national team or the state sponsored football team Akwa United and many a times religious or political events. With the cultural Ibom statues surrounding the Ibom Plaza, it is a lovely sight to behold

This is the center of Uyo. At this place, you get the konga center, stores where you get to fix your phones and a bole joint (beside Konga) that makes the best bole I have eaten in whole south south region.

Nice city centre. Noticed everywhere was cleared unlike the crowded place it used to be. The government is trying to bring back the serenity of the area that is used mostly for relaxation and picture shoots

I love how spacious the place is. That's where Single's Frank Talk holds, every first Sunday of the month by 4pm. The place can be used for other commercial purposes and it's a sit out for lovers, friends and family.

If you're visiting Uyo for the first time, Plaza is the first and most important place to know. It's the centre of Uyo, linking Ikot Ekpene Road, Abak Road, Aka Road, Barracks Road and Oron road. It used to be a good tourist attraction, but its now somewhat a shadow of itself with many commercial activities taking place in and around the vicinity. Its still a fun place. Hang out though. Word of caution should be to be safety conscious if you're staying out late here.

Its old, trust me its still Goldie... On a Sunday, you'd meet cool sports and programs (events) taking places there. And there really are lots and lots of fashion! And apparel sold here, from foot wear, to pants and tops for both genders. And gadgets too are like almost everywhere... I'd give more updates later on, peace. ✌

Just like every city has a heart, this is the heart of Uyo. It is one place that leads you to anywhere you’re going in uyo, thanks to the good road network and accessible roads. Plaza is always buzzing both during the day and at night. The streets are steadily busy with hawkers, bus drivers and passerby’s. It’s one route any traveller coming into uyo must surely pass. Ps: This video belongs to Geyzee_Franics. Thanks to him for capturing the beautiful heart of the city. Akwa ibom ayaya o

Ibom Plaza is in the heart of Uyo. You would find all vendors and plugs here. Around and inside Ibom Plaza are Food sellers, fruit, shoes, drinks, meat, etc. You will find photographers for your, passport and pictures. Also shoes and clothes plug. You have a variety of choices and price ranges. There is also, a phone shop where you can get both new and used phones with accessories. In case your phone is faulty, you can also fix it around. However, be careful while making transactions around Ibom Plaza. Saying as regard, repairing your phone. There are both professional and hungry beginners engineers. Be sure, who you hand over your mobile phone. You may not have it back. Regardless, I remember some years ago, we would come here to view Nigerian matches with the large LED screen that was available then. To me, it was the biggest I ever saw then during His Excellency Obong Victor Attah's regime. I miss those days People would come out en mass to sit together and watch matches. Without fear of being abused or our phone being snatched. Nonetheless, people still patronize the sit-out and bar. Some lovers and friends are still seen having great times in Ibom Plaza. You know what they say about the environment? You get used to it. Nobody said it, I just did.

Busy. Bustling with life. Brisk business operated by young Nigerians from different parts of the State and beyond. Life at Ibom Plaza is a reflection of the hustling never-say-die spirit of Nigerians at this very difficult time.

This is a public sit-out, with a giant television screen often used for football viewing. And a stadium-like sitting arrangement. Though the picture didn't really reveal much, it's a good place to hangout with your lover/love-one.

If you lived in Uyo around two decades ago, then you will be familiar with the Ibom Roundabout which connected Aka road, Abak road, Ikot Ekpene road, Iron road, and Wellington Bassey road. It was also called Circus at the time. Today, you will find it difficult to link what it has become to whatnot used to be. It's now a combination of a sophisticated connector of roads and a park with heavy commercial and leisure activities. You will find people unwinding there as early is noon.

Never go to ibom plaza with the intention of finding a parking lot. The parking lot there just can't be enough to contain more than 10 cars at a go. Make use of the pedestrian lane. Park your car there, go for your business, return on time and move it away. Even tho there's no security threat because of the presence of the military, anything can happen, just be very careful.

It used to be one of the areas for tourists to visit back in the days as at 2012/2013 but these days its not being properly maintained and it just an area for business transactions, you could buy wears, get your sim registered, sit-out with friends, get quick passports, register for examinations and whatever registration is ongoing at the time and more, but most importantly, if you are ever lost in Uyo or its environs, just look for directions to plaza in Uyo, almost everywhere has a route to Uyo Plaza, and you can obviously almost get a means to getting anywhere in Akwa-Ibom form Uyo plaza too

It is the most popular place in Uyo, and the most busiest. Here, you can get access to repairing and purchasing of phones, shop for clothes and accessories, there is also an eatery here, there are ICT centres here as well, and it is a landmark location for anyone who is coming into Uyo for the first time. From Plaza, you can take a bus going to, Nwaniba Road, Oron Road, Ikot Ekpene Road, and Wellington Bassey Way.. You can also board a keke that is going to Abak/Aka Road, Ikpa Road and its environs.
