I am telling you Uyo is just perfect for having this kind of park.. (it’s also knows as Love Garden) but take a look at it, the field is well maintained and clean, the grass is always trimmed.. it’s perfect for a group picnic or solo date.. you can also go there to chill alone, there are mats, board games and snacks. This is our small aboard located in Uyo.. other states in Nigeria should replicate because what’s so sky rocket about creating/maintaining a public park?.. in a nation where we have too much of experts in every field.. they can’t even keep a green grass in Abuja stadium, not to talk of Jabi park. Akwa Ibom State is one state with lucky Governors.. They are not perfect but laid a foundation of a future megacity. Welcome to Uyo.

This is a nature admirer's paradise located along Dominic Utuk Street, off Wellington Bassey Way (Barracks Road), Uyo the capital city of Akwa Ibom State. It's a lovely place to come either as an individual or with family and friends for picnics. It has lush green grass carpet and indeed very beautiful natural scenery.

The best sit out green natural area, come here with a family for a picnic. Come here for meditation and spiritual awakening. Take your love ones out here. Perfect for lover birds.

Uyo Green Park, popularly known as Green field gardens is a cool and natural place for picnics, photoshoot sessions, outing, sit outs, meetings, name it. The greens just gives life and beauty to everything there. I visited there for a Millennium Fellowship picnic and it was awesome. Due to its beauty and usefulness, lots of people visit there all the time. The place is so neat that you can sit on the bare grass to do your thing. If however, you do not wish to sit on the bare grass, there are mats and trapaulines for rent at affordable prices. I sincerely appreciate the progenitors for creating this place and for making it free to use. There is no gate pass to this Park, guys. It is always open; 24/7. And I wish we would have more of this park, scattered all over Uyo so that we won't have to spend so much on transportation to Nwaniba to get here.

It's a very serene place to be with family. But recently I noticed that they aren't maintaining it well again. Secondly you have to be careful of the time you go there. I also think restrictions should be put in place to checkmate the kind of people who come there. Coz I was there yesterday and saw alot of guys smoking weed...Not cool sham

The green area is more like a drainage pattern set up by the government to control erosion, it's an area filled with green vegetation, a serene environment, the sight of it gives inner peace, and it calms the soul. The green area aside erosion control which is the main reason for its existence could also be used for other things like outdoor sporting activities, picnics, meditation ground, etc.

Uyo green park is very nice.. Cool and a very good place to spend time with family and friends. It is a nice place for picnics, birthday parties and other events.

Great sight to see the natural green beauty of grass fields and forests. But could do with some facilities for fun activities.
