Amazing experience. I tried the beef ramen and it was delicious. The space is very light, the decoration is beautiful and the staff very friendly. Definitely a place to come back. A special appreciation to the columns when you can write something and stick there.

Small but great atmosphere. Sushi was fabulous. Lots of choice of sushi and hot food on the menu, definitely something for everyone. Have a virtual menu for covid reasons that you can access on your phone. Staff were fantastic and very accommodating. They do takeaway too.

Black Tonkotsu Ramen: At £13 a bowl, the portions are huge. Good taste. Takoyaki: It was £5.90 and tasted good. Chicken Karagae with Japanese mayo and togarasni Dowder: 5.90 GBP. The chicken tasted dry and woody Prawn Tempura: 9.90 GBP. I don't recommend it! It wasn't really tasty! It tasted a bit strange in texture and felt like you were eating something other than prawns. In short, the taste is very bad. Hell Ramen: 13 GBP. I'm not very spicy but I've always been curious about Hell Ramen. I finally ordered it on my second visit. Overall, it wasn't too spicy and was in my acceptable range. The flavour was on the salty side. lil moon Strawberry Cheese Flavour: Very tasty! But two pounds more expensive than the ones sold in the supermarket.

Went with a friend on a Saturday lunchtime. Seated immediately. Service was quick too. I had the Today's Selection Sushi and a Rainbow Roll. Delicious. Fresh, fat slices of fish and the seaweed salad was lovely too. Friend had the Tonkotsu Ramen and loved it. Big portion, really good as usual.

So far the best in Glasgow. It is always packed that I have to queue for almost 20 mins, but it is worth it. The price is not too expensive and cooking time is not that long. The ambience is good and the toilet is clean

Great little sushi spot! My husband and I really enjoyed it. He had the chef’s special beef roll with Korean bbq sauce and I had the rainbow roll. Both were perfect! Kimchi was good and spicy, veggie gyoza was nice, and his chicken appetizer was okay (not my taste). We had mochi for dessert which I love. Husband (first time trying) not so much lol. Service was great and it’s a light/airy place to sit and enjoy great sushi 🍣 🙏🏼 we will be back to try the ramen!!

Fantastic bowls of flavourful ramen! Tried the black Tonkotsu and the Beef tataki ramen and both were amazing, rich broth and very big portions. The takoyaki or octopus balls were also delectable, sweet and melt in your mouth tasty! Sapporo and Asahi beers available in bottles. Cool decor, the place is cosy and feels very Japanesy, we loved it and will definitely be recommending it.

Very crowded & busy - first impressions mean it’s a good place for lunch. Very friendly servers who give their best to create a friendly ambiance. Ordered together but dishes arrived very slowly and not altogether. Even yo pay the bill, I had to wait for the privilege. Otherwise it’s great for a good and filling lunch

Maki & Ramen is a beautiful little restaurant that serves some of the best ramen you can get in Glasgow City centre. The Tonkotsu is always a safe choice. The pork served in the broth is incredibly soft and almost melts in your mouth. I only had four slices, so I do wish there were more, but they were delicious. The broth is flavorful and mixes really well with the spring onions. The chicken ramen broth was so savory and delicious. The chicken itself wasn't very tender but all the flavors worked together brilliantly. We shared some takoyaki too, which were a hit. Overall the atmosphere was what impressed us most. From the striking lamps on the ceiling to the hand-drawn post-its, the restaurant's interior is both relaxed and clearly well thought through.

Great little restaurant, food is amazing, service is quick, polite and efficient and prices are reasonable. The walls are covered in post-it notes of drawings from customers which gives you something genuinely interesting to look through and talk about during your meal. Very convenient location just a 2 minute walk from Buchanan galleries, will definitely be back ☺️

Great little place. Dropped in without reservation mid-week and was seated. Good atmosphere, decor and good food. Especially enjoyed the house white wine and gyozas. Lots of options with several vegetarian and vegan dishes to choose from 🙌 The only negative really was that our food didn't arrive together. One of our party was delivered some time before the others were, which is awkward when dining as a group. Do you wait and it goes cold or eat alone / aware others are not. Otherwise everything was great.

Maybe the most delicious ramen I have ever eaten. Everything in the bowl was cooked perfectly. The pork, the soup, the noodles, the egg. Can’t find anything for deductions of the marks for the food. The staff are polite and considered. No kids menu.

I came here during Christmas day when nearly all restaurants in town was closed. Even though the place was packed (as expected from one of the only open restaurant in the area), the staffs still manages to be friendly and professional to the customers 👍 As for the food, I highly recommend the Tonkotsu Ramen! It's savoury and delicious 😋 Compliments to the chef 😊

Me and a mate walked in here 5 mins after last orders with about 25 minutes left on service. Long story short my mate kind bluntly said 'aye but we travelled a long way to get here and rona restrictions shafted us'. Staff totally bent over backwards for us and fired out 2 fast bowls of Ramen. Food was outragous no joke. These people clearly love food. Dunno when i'll be back but i imagine it will be soon.

Always really friendly service when we arrive, both times we've been given more than we ordered so we can try it, I wasn't a fan of one of the dishes so they changed it to another for free, main meal was delicious and the Japanese cheesecake is a must have!

We visited the restaurant on Saturday noon and it was busy. We ordered today’s grilled sushi and Tonkotsu Pork ramen and they were both delicious. The pork was tender and the broth was rich. The toasted rice tea was tasty also.

We found this place through tik tok! The restaurant was so stunning inside, the note pad drawings on the wall were such a nice touch - was lovely looking at them all while we waited for our food. I ordered the ‘Hell Ramen’ and although I didn’t find this at all spicy, it was still delicious and definitely one of the best ramen dishes I’ve had. I don’t eat meat so I gave the pork belly to my friend who said it tasted slightly rubbery and not how it should - however, I thoroughly enjoyed it without so I can’t complain!

My husband and I visited Maki and Ramen couple of days ago for the first time and did not leave disappointed. Everything was perfect from the very start: warm welcome from the staff, authentic decor, delicious food cooked to perfection - hats off to the chefs! Our waitress Evelina was very helpful, walked us through the menu and made some good recommendations. Will definitely come back soon!

Thoroughly enjoyed the food, service was excellent too. I was in a bit of a rush so was glad to get served quickly and the food came promptly after. I had the seafood hell ramen, which was on the specials board. It came with prawns, calamari and salmon...everything was cooked to perfection. If you're a fan of Japanese I'd highly recommend this wee place

I would encourage anyone to go here! I really like this place, usually staff are very attentive and the food delicious and plentiful. First time I went to this place was unbelievable. I got the salmon ramen and it was delicious. We were welcomed so nicely and even recieved some nice tea! I have been back several times because of these lovely touches. However, today I went and was dissapointed by the fact we were rushed in and never recieved any tea or water. When we ordered our food some of the ingredients in my ramen (like my eggs and some veg) were cold! As well as this my friends brocoli was not cooked! So I have to take away a star. I want to see this business do well so I hope the staff read this so they can learn from this in the future.

Not the best but also not the worst Ramen I had in Glasgow. Nothing special, doubt if I will be back. I can't write a reply, so I edited my review. I had the Beef Tataki ramen and my wife the Salmon ramen. Both broths were very tasty but cold!!! They were not even at room temperature. Also, despite the fact that my wife asked if the broth at Salmon ramen is spicy and the answer was not, her broth was spicy. When we told that broths are cold, the staff just ignored us.

Absolutely lovely place, nice thick cuts of pork over a rich creamy soup. 100% going again.

  • 4/5 Kyle R. 3 years ago on Google
Got the black tonkotsu ramen the broth was pretty good. The best I have had in Scotland I would say. I found the noodles to be a bit bland and almost like store bought ones and the roast pork was very fatty. My wife got the chicken ramen. Chicken was a bit fatty, but the broth had a good level of spice to it. Customer service - Fantastic.
