I am so happy that a new shabu restaurant opened in this location. Prior to Mikiya opening up this place was Zenbu Shabu and wow did they really transform this space. I was in aww the whole time by how beautifully they transformed this place. The atmosphere is definitely high end and the shabu meats were all very delicious. We ordered the $55 menu and it came with an appetizer (we got the tartare and the bone marrow), seafood platter, and ayce meats. The meats are all products of Japan and it seriously reminded us of the shabu we had when we were in Japan. Best shabu spot in the area and what made our experience better was the service! Everyone was so attentive and quick to bring us more meats and ask us if we needed anything else. We will definitely be back again. See you next week!

The food and service here was amazing. Personally I felt the broth could use a touch more salt, but once I combined the meat with the sauce it balanced out!

All of the staff were super friendly and attentive! John, our server, was always on top of things and gave the best service. Everything on the menu was delicious.

Top-notch Wagyu, super-friendly service, and all the fresh eats you could ask for. Seriously, it's a feast. Gotta shout out that bone marrow app – it's insane! The meat comes flying out, the broth's delish. Perfect for a rainy day vibe. Trust me, Shabu at Mikiya Wagyu is where it's at!

I had tried the Mikiya in Temple City and that made a good impression on me already. I came to this one in Cerritos to try it out with high expectations. While I was waiting for my party to arrive out in front of the restaurant, I was greeted by John, who was happy to clarify some question I had about the membership and the caviar special they had going on. John wasn't our server, but I swear he was all over the place, making sure everything was tidy and in working order. I'll talk about the food soon. As much as I love food, I love service just as much or more. All the staff were friendly and quick. I felt very pampered. Jennifer, our server was very friendly, and always around waiting to help us. Empty meat plates disappeared as I finished and I was always offered with more meat, and soup. At other AYCE places, I usually had to wait, not here. I love how they have plenty of napkins on the table for you. As for the meat, they were great as expected. I am really happy I chose the diamond set. The specialty dish and higher meat choice is worth it. I have tried the middle tier set at Temple city, and like I said I left wanting more. So when I came here I had to try the diamond set. In terms of ambience and atmosphere, I felt Mikiya in Cerritos is a good choice for dates, anniversaries, and special occasions. The mood feels really elegant.
