Super nice place! Wonderful staff! Really nice place if you’re looking for relaxed adult fun…a little nostalgic for me. They have ping pong tables, giant jenga & connect four. Just a great time. The atmosphere is arty, double plus for me. I love it. Even the restroom stalls have art work. I recommend this place to unwind and have a good drink.

Awesome ping pong bar with a really fantastic Art Battle experience! The drinks were great at the bar and we really enjoyed the Art Battle that the venue hosted. So many people showed up to support the artists and buy their artwork after the show. I would absolutely attend another one of these events at the same location!

Really fun atmosphere $40/hr for ping pong so if you have 4 friends playing it's only $10 per person so not bad. When we went they also had a free tournament going!

Super fun place to kick it with friends or to go for a date night. The drinks were good (and strong), and the service was ultra friendly!

We loved it, and had a lot of fun on a Friday night. We participated in the ping pong tournaments, got free shots, got to see and meet Eric Owens, the staff were friendly, and the place has really cool vibes. The drinks were not bad either. Definitely going back.

The ping pong tables are great for corporate events. I was part of a corporate event and we had an awesome experience! The food and service is also excellent!

It was a wonderful place to go for the ping pong game. An ambient and relaxing environment

Absolute blast. Had a company happy happy hour. Place held an impromptu tourney that had the whole place on fire. Some pros held an exhibition. Great service. One of the most fun nights in a long time. Possible that I may have accidentally booed the underdog in the exhibition—thought she was the Harlem Globetrotters

I loved the staff so much. Every one we talked to was friendly, hilarious and so welcoming. Such a fun concept for people who want to be out on a Saturday night for drinks and fun but a regular bar is too much. Also great for wallflowers and people watching. You can sit and relax with a drink without feeling pressured to mingle with strangers.

I had a blast here, playing ping pong! We ended up giving up our table to play with the folks at the next table over. The drinks were kind of meh, so we ended up switching over to shots but it was a great time overall!

If you are looking for a good time spin is where you want to be. Specifically, the keystone to that entire establishment is Mark. If anyone could walk on water it’s HIM. He is always super helpful and is making sure everyone is having a great time. The only reason why I and probably many others stepped foot in there is because of him promoting the club outside yelling “PING PONG!!”.

I have been meaning to write this review for a couple of days. I scheduled an office Happy Hour at Spin and we had an incredible experience. It felt like I was a party planner with how well it all turned out. Huge shout out to Liz who organized the drink and food packages. All I had to do was show up and it looked and felt like it had taken weeks to plan. Highly highly recommend. Also, one more shout out, Mickey the server who passed out the food was over the TOP. He was polite, gracious, and ran around to feed everyone like the work of 100 workers. Thanks again!

This was a cool place, nice ambiance and I had fun having a beer and playing ping pong but I cannot conceive as to how it would be a good buisness move to impose a costly time stamp on how long people will stay in a bar. After pong was over (30 minutes was expensive enough), we left. If we could have kept playing without paying more money, we would have stuck around and ordered more drinks. Impose a light fee for unlimited pong - because I was there prime time on a Saturday night and barely anyone was there for your DJ to play to.

A tremendous time spent with friends! This place has some really awesome workers, and offers an unmatched playing experience filled with fun, excitement, and great local company! Being a competitive ping pong player, I was impressed to see the quality of tables, rackets and balls for a public place! An awesome place to hang out with your friends or meet new people with similar interests! 5 stars!

Went for a corporate event. Had a ton of fun. Staff was super friendly. Drinks were strong. Ping pong was well organized. Not having to pick up the balls is great. Their sliders were fire.

Super fun! Went here for a friend's birthday party. The energy is hype and the drinks/food is great.

Pretty expensive for a ping pong bar seeing competitors in a similar area are offering the same stuff for a better price. The DJ was mid and overall I felt my experience at SPIN was lacking. I went a second time and found it the same. The tables were slightly pricier that another ping ping bar that will remain unnamed and we ended up leaving after it took nearly 30 minutes to order a drink. SPIN seemed understaffed both times I visited and with other more affordable options which offer the same experience I won’t be back to SPIN anytime soon.

After a long day in of doing touristy stuff in Chicago, decided to take my friends here. This place is great. Also shout out to Alex. She took care of us and made the whole experience for us amazing. Looking for a great time to hang with friends. This is the place. If you are in to ping pong like I am, this place will be your heaven. The vibe and music makes this whole joint. Food and drink are decently priced. They have deals like all you can play. Must check their websites to see when they have this. Highly recommend! I will be coming back and bringing my friends here for sure.

Favorite go to after work place when in Chicago. When I am in Chicago for meetings that’s is the first place I suggest we go for after work. Absolutely everyone loves the decor and the atmosphere. Many beers on tab and good selection of appetizers. What truly shines is their ping pong offerings as I have frequently seen grown up having their time of their life after having a drink or two. Only concern - they do not have a happy hour at all, any day of the week.

We always love taking out of town friends here, or even just going ourselves! The atmosphere is so cool and fun, they have so many great photo op spots, and who doesn’t love playing ping pong! On top of that the food and drinks here are very solid, and the service is great too. If you’re thinking of going during a busy/peak time it’s a good idea to book a spot in advance, it can get pretty busy! Also if you book ahead or have a larger group, you can potentially get one of their more private areas/tables.

Would I recommend this place for team events ? Yes What went well? Abbey from event management was very helpful in planning this event, she is very professional and took good care of our pre-event queries , be it food, table , advance payment etc. Don't go by the size of entrance on state street, the place is huge. We were assigned a private event area with three tables and we never found it shrinking when we all were present there. Quality of food was above average. After a few hiccups, our host was able to increase the passed food frequency, which my guest complaint in the beginning. It seems sometimes you just have speak upfront rather than crying in online reviews, to have your issues sorted out. Contract signing, Payment processing were really simple. Overall they were able to make my guests happy and enjoy their time there. What could be improved? The servers and waiters can be more efficient in refilling the station food, as well as make sure guests always feel that we just had this passed on item, and say thank you , I am good, not the other way around.

I really miss this place, I had so much fun here when I came to Chicago to visit family. It was just a great, fun environment- with fast service and delicious food.

I was invited to attend for drinks and ping pong for a friend and my birthday. Atmosphere was fun, and food was good. Drinks were very inconsistent in flavor. How do we order multiple of the same drink and they all taste drastically different?? Also, there was booking issues… which caused sone drama at the beginning of our evening. That being said I feel the customer service is so-so. That being said I would still suggest checking them out since it was a fun time. This is an awesome place to go hang out or host a party there are ping-pong tables all over the place so there’s no shortage of spots stop playing game. Are several bars located throughout the place there’s also a DJ stand where they play live music.

Really cool place! Came here for my first art battle and it was so entertaining! I booked tickets for that specific event on Eventbrite so if you're interested in the art battle, book it through Eventbrite. The ambience was dope and good drinks selection. It was our first time here so we didn't know you had to reserve the ping pong tables, so for first-timers, make sure to reserve a table!

Jorge was our wedding DJ and he was outstanding. The dance floor was full the entire night, he followed the schedule we gave him perfectly, he was a great announcer, and he read the crowd incredibly well. I would highly recommend!

Amazing concept, great amenities, slow service. Bartenders took forever to get us our drinks or else they would give our orders to someone else.

It's probably because I'm a huge dork, but I had *so much* fun at this place. Also, shout out to Tasha for the service and Matt for only being Half Evil #333!

Great concept for a restaurant, food was good, slow service to start but it got better. Everyone had a good time playing ping pong and visiting with each other. The management was very sensitive to our needs and went above and beyond to help me get into the venue due to my disabilities. If it hadn't been for them, I would not have gotten to attend my granddaughter's pre-wedding party. I want to send my heartfelt thanks to Heather, Jake and the staff at Spin for all they did for me. I will never forget it.

Cool place and concept. Went for corporate event so we had the place to ourselves. Food was decent and ping pong was fun. Place is multiple levels with all the ping pong tables in the basement/lower level.

I went here for a live art battle and met Hannibal Buress. Drinks were amazing. We had so much fun. Next time I will play ping pong.

I was in about a week ago with a group of friends. This was my first visit here and was not impressed. The venue itself is pretty and there is space to move around. That being said the server did not pay as much attention as I would have liked. Having an empty drink in your hand is not the best way to enjoy a night.

  • 4/5 Gabe T. 1 year ago on Google
Great time! Food is pretty good but nothing special. Biggest downside is there isn't really an area to congregate/chill while watching friends play like in top golf where they have the separate bays with sofas so you can relax while you wait for your turn. Here the tables are pretty close together and the only seating is close to the tables so you're right in the line of fire.

I love SPIN it's always a good time for me...but I don't know what's going on with their main bar downstairs the bartenders are great at making drinks but there is no order they will pass by you nonchalantly for 10-15 minutes then seemingly randomly ask you if you want a drink. It's weird, wish they would at least register that you're even there. But they are good bartenders they just have a borderline rude way of acknowledging customers, this has been my experience the 3 times i have been there, otherwise my experience at SPIN has been pretty cool
