Fantastic vegan southern food. I got the pulled jackfruit sandwich. Also somehow the best eggplant parmesan I've ever had.

I don’t even know where to begin. This came up as a late night vegan option and holy smokes, this is by far the best vegan food I’ve had in portland . I’m gonna update the details tomorrow . We just ate it and most of our conversation was about how nice the girl running it was and how literally well seasoned, I can’t even find words to explain how much effort and skill went into this food !! Customer for life !

We ordered the jackfruit tacos and mushroom tacos. Best jackfruit tacos I’ve ever had. Not the typical beans that you get with tacos; much better. The beans had a hint of heat and sweetness. We will be back to this food cart! Update: I’ve been craving jackfruit tacos and beans since my last visit. Best food cart tacos in town, IMO. Cokiea’s Kitchen will become one of our new go-to places since my husband and I are creatures of habit.

The vegan lasagna was out of this world! Beyond enough for two meals; came with two huge pieces, two slices of garlic bread & salad, and the owner is just a wonderful person!

So! Freaking! Delicious! Been here a couple of times and definitely a new favorite spot. The vegan lasagna was so good and easy to share between 2 people. Had the jackfruit tacos this time, heaven heaven heaven. The owner was warm and inviting. A wonderful black woman-owned food cart that everyone should support!

Finding vegan southern food can be challenging. I used to go to the Bye and Bye for their southern sides but Unfortunately the menu changed. Alyssa say I was happy to discover CoKiea’s Kitchen. I ordered the collard greens and a side of cucumber and tomato salad. The collards were perfectly done. The cucumber and tomato salad had a vinaigrette dressing that reminded me of my mom’’s version. Highly recommended.

Incredible vegan lasagna!! The best part was noticing the owner watching me from afar take the first bite as she paused in anticipation of my approval, when the flavor hits and my head dipped in appreciation of the thoughtful nuances you can see her smile in the distance. It’s places like this, and people like this, that should be making food, and they should be tipped well! The huge portions are appreciated. 🫶🏻🌱

Easiest 5-star review I’ve ever posted. We got the vegetarian lasagna, collard greens and cucumber salad and it filled two grown men with food to spare! They don’t shy on their portions and the food was absolutely fantastic, I can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu.

Holy moly. I saw the reviews, but there was no line so I was unsure. I am in love. I got the vegan gumbo, standard Mac and cheese, cucumber tomato salad, and the pound cake. Everything was impressive. The gumbo was freaking fantastic. Like my besties scary grandma growing up good, like, I could come back and eat it every day and not get sick of it, good. It comes with fried okra, and they give it to you in a little foil pouch so you can sprinkle them on as you go, and they don’t get soggy. The salad was perfection, crisp and just the right amount of vinegary. The mac was slightly spicy, which made it hard for my kiddo to eat it all, but that was fine because I finished it. And the pound cake was so rich an delicious, that I had to take home to finish. Don’t wait. Go now.

The cart we’ve needed! Rich flavors with the creamiest mac n cheese and mashed potatoes (my fave). Don’t sleep on the desserts either. Somehow tastes even better as leftovers!

Incredible flavor! The vegan Mac and cheese is delicious, and the collard greens are perfection. This is it! Vegan soul cooking at its finest. Will certainly be back! 😋

All I can say is just wow. I ordered the sweet potato pie, peach, cobbler, mashed potatoes, vegan mac & cheese, and the fried zucchini and asparagus. And just wow! Everything takes amazing and has such good flavor! 🙏✨💕 I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu 🥰

CoKiea's Kitchen recently catered our holiday event and wow! The mac and cheese, the jackfruit, the okra, oh my! Incredible flavors - true comfort food. We will definitely visit their cart soon.

I had the birria tacos with rice and beans. It was absolutely incredible. Maybe the best food I've had in Portland.

CoKiea's Kitchen 's catered a recent holiday party and everything was amazing. It was delicious and consistent- which can be a challenge with catered food! The pulled jackfruit and collards were my personal fav and I was more than a little excited to take home some leftovers. Portland is lucky to have this spot for the veg and non-veg folks alike!

Owner is so welcoming and food is bomb! If you aren't vegetarian order lorell's chicken in the same pod and grab her side items and her salad v

  • 5/5 Nathan C. 1 year ago on Google
My goodness. I'm not a vegan only person and i think i offended them (not really, but really ha) when i asked if the birria was goat or beef. Had to take a second look at the menu and realized it was a vegan/vegetarian cart. Turns out jack fruit is amazing and made more so by the amazing cooks serving it. They've inspired me to try making more vegan/vegitarian meals of my own and gained a return customer for sure.

This gal has the BEST mushroom tacos around! We love them! Tried the mac n cheese, didn't care for it. Sticking with the mushroom tacos! And she's friendly 😁

Best gumbo I've ever had! Potato tacos were amazing and the blackberry peach cobbler was perfect! We can't wait to go again

I had this amazing person come and do some catering for Rainbow City 🌃 🌈 🙏. Not only did I scarf down the first order of jackfruit tacos, but I also shamelessly headed right back for another order immediately after lol!! As a very long time vegan it is tough to find good meat substitutes. All the seasonings were right on point, I can’t even tell you how delicious it was! I’ll be going out of my way to stop by there from now on!

Best lasagna I have ever had! Portion size was large and included garlic bread and salad. I will definitely be back, but it will be hard to decide which of the other terrific-sounding menu items to try.

  • 5/5 Zoe H. 1 year ago on Google
So yummy! Tried the jackfruit tacos and vegan lasagna. Very flavorful/colorful and hefty portions! I was surprised at the cost of the lasagna but the portion size was huge and I will 100% get it again soon because it was so tasty. Also the beans that come with the tacos 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤never had better vegetarian beans. THANK YOU!!

This is my favorite place to get vegetarian food in Portland! You can feel the love in every bite, and the menu options are fantastic. Excellent desserts, too! HIGHLY recommend! :)

Food was do good I had to review. The first time was great and the food has been the absolute best veggie and vegan dishes I've had in Portland. No exaggerations! 100 stars!

I tried and LOVED their mushroom tacos, and now I can’t bring myself to order anything else here because I’d miss out on a chance for the MUSHROOM TACOS! I do want to try the other menu items, though — my partner really enjoyed the jackfruit barbecue sandwich, and the sides are tasty too!

ABSOLUTELY DIVINE. The gumbo healed my whole heart, and the spread??? Amazing. Please do yourself a favor and eat here!!! You'll regret it if you don't.

This is THE spot for vegan soul food. The “pulled pork” sandwich with slaw and collards was to die for. So flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. I’m not a vegan by any means and will absolutely eat here again. Awesome black owned cart in a great spot. We’ll be back!

  • 5/5 Travis T. 2 years ago on Google
I’m not a vegetarian, but I eat my fair share of vegan/veggie food. I was skeptical at first of a vegetarian version of birria tacos, but wow! These were delicious and stack up to the real thing. The lasagna from here was great, too. Delicious, even for omnivores!
