I was served in English and the service was excellent, however as I was the only guest in the dining room I wouldn't have expected anything less. I ordered a medium rare rib eye steak which is served with potato wedges, cherry tomatoes, salad and butter. The outside of the steak was crisp (read burned and bitter) while the inside was raw, I suspect it was done in an open flame. The meat was dull and tasteless probably from cattle that were fed and not roaming free. Even melting the butter on the steak didn't make much of a difference. The deep fried wedge potatoes (unpeeled) was not crisp on the outside as you would expect. You should source the correct variety of potatoes, peel it, cut it, wash it, boil it until almost soft then deep fry it at 170ºC until golden brown. No effort went into preparation and presentation of the salad, just a few cut leaves and four fried cherry tomatoes, no salad dressing or anything to make it look appetising. It is clear that none or very little effort went into the sourcing of the ingredients and preparing and presenting this meal, which is the most expensive item on the menu and should be the signature dish. If this was presented to me by a corner cafe at a corner cafe price, I would have given it a rating of three stars for It's OK. At a four star hotel with a four star price this unfortunately does not deserve a single star. In my opinion the chef is not qualified for the job. Although I'm staying another five nights at the hotel, this was my first and last meal here. Now I understand why all the restaurants in the area are overflowing with customers while this grand dining room is empty.

We had a reservation for 3 dishes for the Sylvester night at 9pm via their website. Shortly before the D-date I took the time to send them an email to confirm the reservation, and they replied that everything was OK. When we arrived at the restaurant, M. Hildebrand, despite the confirmation email and apparently not ashamed at all, told us that our reservation was not possible (only buffet for 90€) and that the kitchen closes at 10pm anyway. He did not deem it necessary to give us an alternative solution or make any goodwill gesture, which would have been common decency for such a fault. Huge waste of time and absolutely no sense of service here.

Came in with measured expectations, given that this is a hotel restaurant. walked out very happy, having had an amazing bowl of beetroot consomme, and a fantastic hamburger. The soup was truly outstanding. The burger was cooked to perfection, and well-seasoned. Service was fast and friendly. Restaurant was pretty quiet.

Folks, The breakfast buffet is pretty decent with the exception of the meat being all pork, unfortunately. There is a wide variety of bread, croissants and cakes available for you to try. The eggs are nice and creamy, however, you can get an omelette to order as per your taste. Just ask the individual (usually Marylin or Margarita) to ask the chef and they will have it all set and done for you! There is your typical cereal, fruit and salad selection with the addition of (usually) berry yogurt and apricot yogurt and muesli mix. There is also Ayran available, if you’d like. The salad bar is nice with a selection dressing and oil. Now coming to the staff, 1) Andrea is your head honcho and he is a big teddy bear of an Italian dude! Kind eyes and a big heart. He gave me a free meal because of my horrible experience at the hotel (they changed rooms for me four times!) 2) David is a professional next in command and he will serve up some awesome nonalcoholic cocktail (6pm is when they give you free cocktails). David is also well dressed. 3) Margarita and Marylin are the nice Filipino hosts and supervisors and will always greet you with a smile and a hello. 4) Ivana, Mariana and Elena also work the floor and are usually very efficient in cleaning up after you are done.

I have to give 4*. Wondering why in menu there is no cheese or salty starters. Good food (with one small problem but let it go).

Really nice concept, following the Orient Express route in both cocktails and food. Original cocktails, best enjoyed with a platter (the Plateau Parisien is to die for!). Nice service as well.

A decent place to get a drink with friends, especially if you're staying in the hotel.

The food is delicious and one of the best Wienerschnitzels we have had in Austria but the kitchen closes by 10pm so don’t think you can order dinner until the posted 1am time slot.

Today we spent time with our family and enjoyed the Easter Brunch at the Wunderkammer. We have been here for Brunch several time and it was always delicious and the price-performance ratio is great.
