This is one of the most iconic place where they serve everything is XXXL size. The quantity is so huge it can be shared by 4 people. The chicken which we had was the smallest portion in their menu. The preparation was done very well with sauce and fries on the sides. The chicken itself is crispy on the outside and juicy and so fresh. Another one of the must visit places for meat lovers. An iconic place in Vienna, for, what tbe austrians may call, "big hunger". The interior is of a classic and cool looking Austrian hut. Portions are truly huge and they are prepared for you to be asking for a to to box. Food is delicious, nothing unexpected just classif Austrian fare. Ok everyone this place is one of the top places in Vienna right now. I use to love strandcafe because of their ribs but ever since they got shut down and reopened under new owners their prices have just been insane and quality has gone down. So I have been looking for a place that serves garlic ribs, doesn’t cheat you on portion size and is an original Viennese experience and I found it! Our entire table of 12 bought everything on the menu. Ribs were amazing. Cordon blue was delicious with the cheese properly melted in the middle. And portions was out of this world. You have to give it to this place they provide and top notch experience.

Very very nice restaurant. Staff is very polite. Atmosphere is really good. We got our meals very fast and the portions were gigantic. Very good value for the money. For every recommendation. We are going to visit this place again

Whenever I'm in Vienna, I find myself returning to this restaurant for its outstanding cuisine. The food here is incredibly flavorful, the portions are substantial, and the service is impeccable. I always opt for one of their platters, and without fail, it surpasses expectations. The potato salad, in particular, stands out as exceptionally delicious! ❤️ I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try – you won't be disappointed! Truly exceptional!

Great place with nice big portions. Do make a reservation as walk in rarely an option. Platter for 2 persons I going to be enough for 5 to 6 people.

Really enjoyed this restaurant. Very authentic, Austrian style and super yummy foods coupled with great service. The dishes are solid in size too and it's quite affordable when it comes to a dinner. Can reccomend it 100 percent.

We went there many times as an airline group. This time we had Pippi and the other young beautiful lady as our service staff with excellent service from them. You always see big smile and warm welcome from staff when we step in. Food are excellent, and no doubt the beer is marvelous. this is the restaurant that you will need to visit when you layover in Vienna. When we ask for taking photo for us, the staff bump into the photo together! It was kind of surprised. It made our trip more colorful. I like it!

Really cozy place, with the best traditional cuisine i found. Easy to park, not too loud despite it is near a road. Staff is really kind.

I had RIBS: looks good, flavor not bad, but the quality of meat is veryyyy BAD, meat like a RUBBER 😩 Not soft at all… I love ribs, but this ribs were RUBBER RIBS. Stars for food is 0 unfortunately. P.s: place is cool, nice waiters 👍🏻 5 stars for it. In general I can’t recommend this place for ribs for sure 😞

Recommend to take only the plate! Not anything else and come very hungry because you will eat so much that you never had before. Very good price and taste!

Very perfect place for meat lovers. I recommend groz ribs for 24,99 enough easily for 2 or 1 very hungry person. You will see that the restaurant is very busy and this is normal due to the delicious food they offer. The location is not in the Center of the city but it deserves every minute of driving. I really recommend for anyone to visit this lovely restaurant.

Incredible service, they were very friendly, helpful and cheerful. The food is amazing and the portions are huge (thankfully our server stopped us from ordering too much, 3 dishes were just right for 5 people). Everything we tried was super tasty. Prices are great and the place is very pretty. So far probably the best food I've had in Vienna.

I had booked a table for 17.30 but then our pland changed and I called that we are coming later. Man on the phone approved me and told that we can come at 20. So we went there and we waited for like 15 minutes in the reception (yes there is a reception becausr it is huge) and then this lady showed up and was very rude with us, she said that she cannot give us a table and "you can as well just leave" But we decided to wait a bit and we got a table and a nice waitress. So, we ordered the sharing meat platter for 4 people (wr had 5 people) and the portion was HUUUGEEE, I think 10 people would have gotten full out of this variety. They are willingly helping you to pack everything because no one is ever capable of finishing the dishes. It was insane. So we got to eat shnitzel for whole weekend. For this amount of food, it was very cheap. Nice restaurant, authentic Austrian vibe and music and menu. Totally recommending. Even tho we did not have the warmest welcome.

This is a great place for someone with a big appetite. I had a mighty good Cordon Bleu that was slightly spiced and it really hit the spot.

Friendly service and cozy seating. Best schnitzel and cordon bleu I had in Austria. Ribs are under sauced, however, they are not too soft and have a nice chew. Portions are huge. Single portions are big enough for two. Double portions can easily feed 4 hungry adults.

The place is amazing and full of authenticity. Amazing food, delicious. Big and good portions. The attitude of the waiters is excellent. The place is highly recommended. And worth a trip especially out of town.

Nice decorated restaurant, worth taking half an hour drive from city center. Best to reserve before, but staff kind enough to accommodate even without reservations. Food was decent, the soups are wonderful. Ribs are good, for a decent price/weight, but the taste of the meat is very soft, far from feeling the real flavour of a bio-fresh meat without EU regulated hormones, clinically tested food etc. Would still go again though, as the quality, price and proportions are worth in comparison to other place in Vienna. A minus: only locally produced beers, no international imports.

Best place to eat in wien!! I LOVED IT, the schnitzel was very tasty and we loved it. Prices are good and despite it is quite a bit far from the city it is totally worth it.

I am very sorry for one star rating, that was not intended -- probably phone was unlocked and it was done randomly in pocket, since before I used it as navigator. Even if the place was overcrowded by my taste, and some service was quite rude (this is purely understandable in such stressed situation, service literally running around to please everyone), I change my "random" rating for 5 star, since the place is museum-like inside, the food is perfect and the prices are adequate. You just need to get there in non-peak times, it is absolutely worth and a must!

In my opinion this is the place to go when in Vienna if you want to eat Austrian food. Their Schnitzl is amazing and the service is really friendly and helpful. You definitely won't be disappointed, also with the amount of food and their prices.
