Restaurant Shanghai is a great Chinese/Asian Restaurant!! The food was incredible! Really good service too. Highly recommended

I am very suspicious about European Chinese food, especially after visiting China long time ago, and I promised myself, no more 5* if food isn't perfect and I kept my promise. This place hides authentic dishes, best quality and taste just delicious. I want to thank for the excellent experience and kind service. Prices are modest and worth of every meal. Just one more thing to add, I had no stomach side effects that I normally do after Chinese food, which speaks in favor to the quality. See you again I hope.

The restaurant was nicely decorated and the staff were attentive. The food we had was nice but very expensive for what it was. The sauces for both then duck and pork belly were very similar if not the same. The pork belly which was €27 and there were only 4 pieces. The noodles we ordered were €8 and were very small portion and overcooked. I wouldn't go again as it was far too expensive. Would recommend looking up other Chinese restaurants in the area.

A very nice Asian restaurant just steps away from St Stephens Cathedral. Staff was very friendly and my food was delicious. My waiter was attentive and a very nice person. A beautiful setting for a delightful dinner.

The food is superb in taste and quality. Wine variety is amazing. Service is good but too too slow in all aspects. It took so long to serve the food more than 1.5 hours for a quick lunch. But i tell you the food taste is really good.

Terrible experience at this place. The location is excellent, right at the corner of the Stephen plaza, but that is all positive about this restaurant. The two male waiters, both Caucasians, were rude and unwelcoming. They never greeted customers and it seemed like they actually hate you. They were the worst. The service was very slow and we waited for about 30 minutes or more while the place was 50% unoccupied. Don’t recommend this restaurant.

Not upto the expectations...blandly seasoned food

Long waiting, high price, dry meat, overcooked rice. We have here in Czech chinese cooks who can do rice and whole meal so much better.

Restaurant in city center nice and clean. Service is very professional and nice. Dumplings are amazing, very tasty the meat inside (a bit overcooked the wrapping pasta). Noodles and prawns are good.

36€ for the kungpao chicken and fried rice with vegetables it's quite expensive. I have to tell you that the kungpao was very very rich in ingredients, no bite was without flavor and in general it was really tasty.

Very unsatisfied. The food is very expensive and the taste is normal. I was very shocked to see that first that they charge you for the table per person but they also charged for my baby who is not even 2 years old and also they charge for the tap water which is also very surprising. The only thing which I liked was the staff.

Awesome food, fantastic atmosphere. Felt like I was in Shanghai in the 30s in the best way possible. Absolutely recommend.

Not satisfied at all. A normal dish of meat costs nearly 30 euro. Taste is less good than average. In general, very low quality price ratio. Price is too high comparing to other Asia or local restaurants in Vienna. Not recommended.

I have been here very often, mostly after work and have to say this is one of my favourite places for chinese food in Vienna. Other than ordering the daily menu meals, I would also recommend checking out the other dishes. They have a great variety of dishes with meat or sea food, while also offering vegetarian options. I personally love their Wantan Soup and Vegan Mapo Tofu.

We moved to Vienna 1 week ago with my family, we came today early to eat something before we meet with our parents, and now my brother is in the Hospital cause he got food poisoned! We though is a virus, but anallitics were very clear our Doctor said! I can't believe still! After we wait 41 minutes only for our starters, the food was intoxicated! Even we live close, we are sure we will never come back again!

Not satisfied. Both of quality and quantity were not enough to make a tourist to be happy. Fried rice was like steamed rice which was not seemed to be on the wok.

Nice atmosphere, good prices, large portions. Menu in Chinese, German & American. This place will not disappoint.

Kind and efficient service, excellent menu and ingredients. We particularly liked the different choices of dim sum and dumplings (self distinguishing from most other products bearing the same name). In general, everything was very fine cuisine and I think one should disregard the reviews from more than 2-3 years ago as the restaurant took another course, clearly preferring modern cuisine and authenticity.

I really liked this place. The food was great and also the staff ist really nice. But what I liked the most about this place was the interior.

We experienced a very VERY good lunch, amazingly tasty and satisfying! Restaurant have a good spirit, it is clean and thoroughly well mainained, out waiter Thomas was conducting nice service. Toilet facility also very clean with nice parfume. I remember this restaurant of 7 years ago, it was good then, but i confirm today a Shanghai Vienna rest. is advanced and changed fornbetter. Looking forward to come again, definitely.

This is an excellent restaurant with fabulous service! I ate there with my wife and young daughters and the service and food were excellent. I would love to go back for a romantic dinner.

Small portions, and that’s good. You can choose between large and small, we had four small dishes between the two of us, so that we could try a bit more. Highly recommend!

I had the braised pork belly. The taste was delicious the portion was disappointing. 3 small pieces of pork belly . Literally 3 bites. Waiting for the bill as the menu pricing is unclear. So 30 euros for a glass of white wine ok nothing special and 3 pieces of pork literally one biters. No way. I am a woman and walking out of here hungry. What a rip off. No thanks. Not again

Its ok. I liked what i ate. I personally loved the interior, old chinese imperial style but hey, thats a personal taste. Be sure, if you speak english, to point at the dish number you order cause they might mistaken the A with the E :-)

This place supports SHARK FINNING - cutting off a sharks fins while it's still alive and then throwing it back into the ocean to die a slow, painful death. PLEASE do not eat here until they take shark fin soup OFF THE MENU!!!!!! Humans have SO many food choices, we don't need to cause extreme cruelty to fill our plates - let's eat something else.

I've been here not so long ago (August) and we ordered a few things and all of them were really delicious, got extra rice and some liquor at the end. The young guy who works there is amazing! Very polite yet talkative. I highly recommend this place! 🌻😁
