Café Grüner Salon is a wonderful and charming little cafe in Vienna - I absolutely would highly recommend this cafe if you are looking for a good place for breakfast/brunch! We came here for breakfast a little while ago and received excellent service, amazing food, and best of all: everything was gluten-free! In a city where there are surprisingly not many good gluten-free options, this place is a blessing. We got a whole 2-person shareable breakfast platter alongside some cheesecake (a vegan one and a non-vegan one, forest berry and blueberry - both excellent), some juices and coffee and more. We loved everything and only wish we got more amazing things to try! We unfortunately don’t live in Vienna, as if we did, we would come here all the time. If you’re in the city, don’t miss the opportunity - try Café Grüner Salon as soon as you can!!

Food is amazing! Top quality and absolutely delicious. Everything is gluten free so if you are coeliac this is the place to eat in Vienna. The atmosphere is fabulous and cozy and it’s always busy because it’s so wonderful. Also, big thanks to the lovely waiter who treated us like family!

Nice place. Very friendly staff. They sat us down even with no reservation. We had a set menu with scrambled eggs, fruit salad, hummus, orange juice and some bread. It tasted good but nothing special, and I didn’t go crazy for the presentation. Good selling point was everything was gluten free. Bad selling point was charging us for each extra slice of bread we requested. Overall it felt quite pricey.

Highly recommended! This place is awesome, I couldn't fault it. Everything on the menu is gluten-free. We had the Grüner Salon Frühstück and the Marquesa Altamira dish. Portions were very generous and the food was excellent. The staff was super nice and the atmosphere is so cosy. It's a typical café with lot of character (there was also a gramophone). Loved it with all my heart!

I found finding good GF food in Vienna difficult until I ate here. I was in need of a good breakfast and I was not disappointed. I had their version of avocado toast with a fried egg and salad for breakfast. It was definitely different but tasty. The juice was fresh and the coffee yum. My service was amazing! He recommended the cherry cheesecake and it was out of this world delicious. I went back the next day for more cherry cheesecake but understandably they were out of it cause why not, it was beyond yum. I decided to take two pieces of the apricot cheesecake and while it was yum, it was no match for the cherry cheesecake. I shall dream of it until the next time I'm in Vienna.

We stayed in Vienna for 2 nights and luckily found this little gem on the first morning there. The owner was so nice and friendly and thankfully spoke perfect English.
