The Fireplace, a restaurant I have driven past many times and been on my mind to go. Well, last night was that night and I tell you, I am so glad I went! First impressions: Not as warm and inviting (interior wise) that I had expected from the outside BUT that is where the negative ends. The service was friendly, attentive (without being over the top). The food came out fairly quickly for our table of 6 and was well presented, smelled wonderful and had the taste to match. Good for kids too, separate kids menu. Drinks menu was comprehensive, right down to an espresso martini. Price was this sits more at a mid level but the serving size and value was there 👌 Will we be back? Absolutely!

Amazing restaurant and bar, OMG the lamb shank meal was absolutely amazing and the service was excellent. We got seated and never moved service was amazing thank you. We will definitely be going back thank you for an amazingly awesome meal and drinks. Loved it

Looked nice from the outside but not as warm inside as we would have hoped in a wintery night. Wait staff were lovely. Food was average, steak needed to rest before coming out, and the prawns on the pork were an odd addition. The chairs were comfy!

Great atmosphere. Food is really delicious. The only reason for 4 stars is that the steak was a little bit over cooked, but luckily still pink. The stuffed chicken was fantastic, the peppercorn sauce the star of the show! Friendly staff and prompt service. Great restaurant with good variety.

Watched the 2023 Rugby World Cup Final here. The breakfast burger was outstanding! Brioche bun, some really great bacon, scrambled egg, spinach and a great relish. One of the best I’ve had….washed down with numerous hazy IPAs. The service was great! They do $12 cocktails from 5-7pm on Thursday, Fri, Sat…..I will be back 😁

Suddenly, suddenly, I find myself coming here more and more. Service is good, attentive, but not overbearing. Food is always consistent and good quality. I strongly recommend a visit.

Wish we had read the reviews before coming here. Wait staff were uninterested in customer service. Although, we were particular about a few things, the staff either didn't listen, pay attention or care. Sadly I think it was the later. The food was average and was bland. Pity as the place has potential.

They’ve really put some effort into having good simple food done very well. You won’t be disappointed expecting a premium causal dinning experience. Great atmosphere and they’ve been able to join family/date night dinning with Friends/folks out for fun which is interesting and difficult to balance. A must to support locally and when your looking for a spot out of the city.

Cozy spot with friendly service. The food was mostly decent - generous portions but nothing special in terms of flavour. The pasta however was unfortunately near inedible - completely lacking in flavour. It looks like the Fireplace has recently rebranded and have gotten rid of the pasta dish since thankfully.

Had a steak here on steak night. $25 for a steak meal. Jug of beer between $30 and $40. Good prices and good portions. Have to say they do a really good steak I was impressed. The young waitress who was assigned to our table was lovely. Always checking up on us. Couldn't fault it.

Had a nice night here tonight. Good relaxed atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly and efficient. I ordered steak chips and salad. I have to say how good it was to see a lovely salad on the plate, instead of the usual few soggy lettuce leaves. It was really good as was the steak. Will be coming again soon

Very enjoyable. I had the eye fillet which was cooked perfectly. I then had the Hive Eton Mess which was lovely. Decent portions. Staff were friendly and welcoming. A nice atmosphere, my only criticism would be that there are too many tables in the space which meant that the tables are too close. A cocktail menu would be a good addition.

Dined in last week after work and boy was my steak spectacular also very friendly and caring staff and after a long day was very mellow vibe ☺️

Can you please add apple crumble and vanilla ice cream back on the menu 😀 so yummy

After having a meal here last year to extremely poor service and average food we hadn't been back till Sunday lunch. Service was great, food was lovely, chips to die for. Even the music playlist was great.

I give this place are good rate, love the food. Atmospheres good 👍..Last time I've been to this place when it still called Fire Place if I can remember for my 22 many Years ago( big change) Good place to take your family or work doo..

Great customer service and atmosphere. The eye fillet meal (with fries instead of mash) is absolutely delicious, as is the Eton mess dessert. Highly recommend, the whole family will love it. Photos feat kids meal (with some eaten), eye fillet (from x2 different occasions) and Eton mess.

I havent been out to a restaurant for months and gave The Hive a go and was not disappointed at all, Food was great price and was shocked at the portion sizes! Had enough to take home. Food was perfect, Fresh and very flavour some. Will definitely go back and would reccomend this place to anyone. Great Bar, Perfect for family outings definitely a 10/10 :)

Good food, excellent service and reasonable price. Just only the toilet was smelly.

Service was great to start off with and died off. Meals took well over an hour to recieved, had to chase up up to get them. Then no one came and asked if we wanted dessert so had to ask bar staff to place it for us. Presentation of food was great, but some of it was was not cooked to how we wanted it. Don't think we will be returning to this restaurant.

We both enjoyed our visit to the hive last Saturday. The staff were all so friendly. Brianna, our waitress was great and the food was awesome. My brisket burger was to die for🍔.I thoroughly recommend the lemon dessert🙏. Hubby loved his too so well done to The Hive, we will be back

We decided to support local for dinner. The food wasn't too bad. Dessert was lovely, but unfortunately, I felt it was slightly overpriced. The restaurant itself was freezing, this made you want to leave as soon as you had finished your meal, which was a shame.

Quiet night, food was good , well presented. A bit of a wait for meal, but to be fair another table sat just before us. The wrong wine was brought out first, but soon sorted . Desserts were well priced and good.

We had a tasty Caesar salad with chicken but it was not value for money to be honest. They were very mean on the ingredients, especially the chicken. $25

Had dinner here 30/4 with my family of 9, ordered starters which were nice n hot 8/10, mains were good 7/10 beside having no naan for the butter chicken manager/bar staff claimed we are not an Indain Restaurant🤦‍♀️🤣dessert Creme Brulee wasn't the best 2/10 overall was all consumed as we don't like to waste money✌🙌

Great place. Really good food. Friendly staff. The only issue i had was they took our plates before we even finished eating. I was still eating my chips and the waiter came and took my plate before i could say anything. Apart from that everything was great.
