This is a hidden gem in Waukegan. I’ve been several times and always had a good experience from the food to staff. The Pablo Diablo & carne asada fries are my favorites.

We’ve been a couple times now and the food and drinks are top notch! We’ve ordered the carne asada fries and smash burgers both times. The fries are a perfect balance of ingredients and flavor; could easily feed a few people, but makes a hearty entree for one. The burger is perfect just the way they serve it, no changes needed. The second time we ordered the elote hush puppies… O-M-G… melt in your mouth goodness! The drinks are always amazing! The Oaxacan Viejito is definitely my new fave! The service is awesome and the atmosphere is eclectic, featuring artwork from local artists.

The Maple has a pleasant environment where you can eat, listen to music, and play board games. The music was a little loud, so as a group, we had to talk a little louder to hear each other. The food was good, and had good portions. The drink menu was pretty exciting. New innovative cocktails were excellent. This is a wonderful place to chill, eat, and spend time relaxing. I would say this would be a great location for a game night with friends and family. There is limited free street parking. There are side streets in the vicinity for parking. Nice job with this eatery!

The steak on the loaded fries was killer. The shrimp tacos were delicious and the art around the building was really cool. Worth checking out.

The food and staff here is amazing! Staff is so attentive and welcoming. Chef can throw down! And welcoming as well! Came out spoke to us! Now for the food! 10 out of 5!!!!! I’ve had two items with the carne asada abs it’s so tender and the seasoning is perfect. Can’t recommend this place enough. Today was the power bowl, perfect light and healthy meal! This may be my new lunch place during the week.

Went here for some dinner and drinks. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was on point as well. I love a small menu when it’s done right and they do that here. Will definitely be back.

The food and drinks were very good as was the decor, dominated by murals but simple. Given the state of the economy, it is understandable that a good many things are at a higher price point than one would expect for its locale. The burger I ordered which is listed on the menu as a double burger, was disappointingly two thin patties that were the equivalent of a single burger. Perhaps I'm too old school, but I tend to expect water with a meal and not be forced to purchase bottled water as my only option aside from a cocktail or soda. All in all, I consider it one of the better options for a well prepared and delicious meal. Waukegan needs more restaurants where the food is what really matters. I hope they're succrssful.

Got the Valentina wings and the steak nacho fries. Soooo good! Definitely recommend both. The Valentina wings aren’t just a strong Valentina taste haha which is what I was afraid of. It’s a really tasty sauce, not super spicy at all. Very doable and savory.

Hip hidden gem of Lake County and Waukegan. Staff is friendly. I've had their shrimp tacos, chicken sandwich, loaded fries, power bowl, and hush puppies, all of which are good. Menu is shirt and clean, which means their food is more likely to be fresh and not frozen, like some places.

Fire spot, the interior design and cleanliness of this restaurant will keep you coming back. Small menu but the dishes are massive and the drink menu is really where it’s at. Drinks are beautiful, strong and not terrible for your pocket. Thanks for serving and having us!

First time here. We got the eloté hush puppies, carne asada fries, and smash burger. All the food was really amazing, and the drinks were on point. Highly recommend!!!

Everything was fantastic! Great atmosphere. Great beats and vibes. Food and cocktails were exceptional. I know I'll be back.

One of the best spots in Waukegan to grab some amazing food and drinks. Super chill atmosphere with great customer service. I've tried almost everything on the menu by now and I haven't had one thing that I didn't like. They have a bunch of board games which is great for passing the time with friends / family. If you haven't been here yet, you owe it to yourself to check it out!

Don’t judge this book by the cover! From the outside this is nothing impressive. But get inside and you will be welcomed to a delicious meal and absolutely fabulous cocktails. Don’t miss this new gem of Waukegan!

If you like ot hot,thos is the place to be. Everything from my crushed jalapeños rimmed margarita,to the delicious fries were 🔥 and so good I would say adult atmosphere but if they eat it hot then....Parking was available on the street.

Nice small business in Waukegan... loved their Carne asada fries and corn fritters! Fries are pretty tasty, too. We had a large party,so the food took a little while. Otherwise, it's a great experience. I would go back.
