Best salon in Amsterdam! First, apologies for the late review as I was observing my hair for a few weeks before I make a fair review. I had my hair done two or three weeks ago at JT salon and it was the best decision I had so far this year. I had terribly issue with dandruff, in fact it was almost impossible to have my scalp back to its good condition again but he made it possible! He thoroughly did the scalp scaling and I opted for additional hair treatments (vitamins). My scalp is in a great condition and my hair became so smooth and healthy. I get compliments all of the time and I feel so much confident now. Also, thank you for the rice tea and sorry if I came sick (I was desperate for your expertise) 😅🤗 Thank you so much, JT 🙏

I really liked the personal element that comes with the salon! Not only did I get the best haircut, but I also learnt a lot about how to style and maintain healthy hair. It was my first visit today, and I was very satisfied with the cut! After looking at my hair, head shape, and condition, he immediately gave me a consultation on a style that would suit me. I could feel that he cut my hair with great care. Also, the entire hair cutting process was very comfortable and attentive. I think I will definitely come back again when it's time for my next haircut. If you are a Korean-American living in Europe, men or women, I think it will be a choice you will not regret if you visit! It's one of the best hair design shop in Amsterdam. My first hair cut experience in the Netherlands and couldn’t be more satisfied! JT is a very professional hairdresser and I can see he knows what he’s doing. We discussed on what hairstyle do I want and what looks best on me. Not only the attention to detail, he explained what he’s doing with my hair and the reason behind it. After the cut, he also taught me how to style my hair and lots of tips and trick. Definitely recommend this to anyone! 11/10, I will come back.

My and my friend treveled from Sweden and got our hair done here. Was it worth it? I got a downperm along with my haircut while my friend only got a haircut. The owner was polite, patient and friendly. He listened to our instructions on how we wanted our hair to be and gave us explanations and suggestions on how we could get the best result. During the proccess he explained the steps and assured me that it would turn out good (which it did) I was a bit worried in the beginning since I had gorwn out my sides and gotten used to it so I thought he had taken off too much hair in the beginning but after the downperm and washing/drying my hair it turned out the way I wanted it to be. For me it took around 1-1.5 hours at most, and for my friend it went a it went a bit faster since he did not do a perm. Overall me and my friend are very happy with the experience and will definitely come back when we visit Amsterdam.

Best haircut I have had within 1 year! Last Monday I had an appointment. When I arrived JT offered me something to drink. JT cut my hair exactly like the pic I showed to him, I also got a permanent treatment. We had a nice conversation and JT told me helpful tips regarding my hair and permanent. I also bought the hair oil he recommended for the perm. JT is very friendly and professional, I definitely recommend JT Hair Design in Amsterdam. I will for sure come back!

I am absolutely thrilled with the service at JT Hair Design! Three months ago, I wrote a review about how JT expertly treated and restored my damaged hair. Seeing my hair grow healthy again, I decided to go for a perm at JT, because of his professional approach and the excellent advice he provided based on my individual hair situation. After a thoughtful consultation, I opted for the 'Iron Perm' technique. I must say, the perm is still going strong in my hair to this day. I believe this technique has a longer-lasting effect on my hair than regular perm techniques. I am genuinely delighted with the results, and without a doubt, I will trust JT with my next perm session. Highly recommended!

If you are looking for a haircut with a Korean/Asian style, this is definitely the place to be. Firstly, JT is hospitable and charismatic artist who offered me to take a seat in the comfort of his living room while he was finishing up with another customer. When it was my time, he kindly offered me a drink and we started to talk about what I wanted to do with my hair. Shortly after, JT proceeded to quickly analyze my hair and told me what would and would not work. I immediately noticed that JT has a lot of experience as he was able to tell what works with my hair, but also exactly the reason/science behind it, which many hairdressers do not tell. If you like to strike up a conversation, JT makes you feel very comfortable doing so. Whether it is small talk, or if you are interested in tips on hair care of your specific hair type, definitely ask him. Not only did we talk about the unique techniques he used, he also shortly demonstrated which products to use, how to apply them, and how to style it correctly. A bit of a useful lesson for myself! I also opted for a scale scrubbing treatment, as I didn't know what it was. And let me tell you, it was one of the best experiences I have had at a hairdresser. We looked at my scalp using a close-up camera, and you could see how clogged my hair follicles were. Then he thoroughly massaged my scalp with a scalp scaling cream, using a scalp massage device and his hands. My scalp felt very fresh afterwards. If you feel like your scalp needs some cleaning, definitely try this out. All in all, I 100% recommended giving JT a try. His craftmanship, professionalism, and personality is worth it. Even if it is out of your price range, the experience and advise he provided was plenty of value. Personally, I will be coming back to try his 'iron perm'. Thank you again, JT! Best hairdresser I've been to so far! Really knew what to do with my hair and how to style it immediately :) Me and my friends really enjoyed the atmosphere and JT was a really nice man! He gave great hair advice and also gave recommendation on good restaurants :D I'm definitely returning whenever I'll need a haircut.

Loved the haircut/trim I've gotten. Truly knows his craft, is very patient and has a nice atmosphere. Lately, I have been pondering whether I should get a perm or not but after hearing his advice/talking about it. That has locked my decision in. Can't wait to go back for a wavy perm :)
