Been there many many times but it never gets old. There's some construction work going on (dated July6th) but you can access almost every where. There's a beach, walking trail, garden, children's play area, picnic tables (that you can rent and reserve for parties/ gatherings). People do all kinds of water sports and boating here. You can enjoy peaceful and quality time with your friends and family. If the sky is clear, you can even see Toronto's skyline and CN tower. Good place to spend a day or evening!

Nice place to go for a walk on the beach! The sound of waves, birds chirping, sun shining brightly, warm weather, buds coming on the trees, me and my coffee - perfect spring time.. what else could you ask for? On a bright clear day, you could also spot CN tower from here!

Last time here was almost a year ago. Then walked westwards to the Iroquois beach. This time went to the east to the Thinkson Road. Should have walked along the water, with a better view, instead walked along the trail, was kind of boring. The trail has a few bends, it smelled every other bend. The trail was not busy, but the Kiwanis Heydenshore Park was, at least in weekends.

Wonderful! I love ❀️ this place, specially in the combination of sunny blue sky and blue water. Fantastic in the summer with gentle breeze. A lot of brenches to sit and enjoy the beauty. There is a parking but not sufficient in summer. A play ground for the children is also available. Some of you may love the light house which looks more beautiful after the sunset.

Perfection!!! A beautiful place for everyone in the region!! Development and Corporatization will ruin it and so will the condominiums! Enjoy it while you still can!!!

A beautiful spot for a daily, weekly, or monthly stroll. Just viewing an endless horizon is rejuvenating. Great kids area. Long or short walk on pavement, boardwalk, beach, and trail. Wonderful to see this area accessed by the whole community.

Very peaceful park with an amazing view. Each bench here is placed as a memory of someone and has a plaque below it.

This is a great park to see the Whitby harbour. Also, an amazing beach park to enjoy a peaceful time with your friends and family. If you like watersports and have your equipment you could get started at this beach park. In addition to this, it is also a good spot for kayaking. There are a couple of benches to sit at and enjoy the view of the beach and harbour. Also, it is a good picnic spot to have a romantic date with your partner. People do get married at this beach park. Furthermore, if you like doing photography you can get some good pictures of the nature and the harbour with the ocean. If you have a drone you could get some great pictures from a birds-eye view as the water looks turquoise and magical from the top. Lastly, you could do free parking over the weekend and on weekdays. This park is also a good spot for all age-group kids.

Was working nearby and decided to take a walk. Wide walkways. There's parking. Probably more activity in the warmer weather. There seems to be another larger park east of here.

Beautiful park with plenty of space for kids to play or for group picnics on events, specially during summer. Rotary sunrise probably has the longest shoreline in durham to walk and enjoy the nature. Kudos to municipality and people visiting here who keep it clean!

Beautiful as always, it's a great pleasure to spend some warm sunny hours at the Rotary Park in Whitby. The breeze and the fresh air are a perfect combination with the tree colors and seagulls free float πŸ‚πŸ

Pretty park at the foot of Whitby. Has a tiny lighthouse at the end of a narrow strip of an open concrete wharf that's closed when conditions are windy. Has a nice gazebo maintained the local Rotary and the town. Walk east all the way to Thicksons Point and it makes for a 7km loop back to the parking lot by the Gazebo. Friendly folks walk there, everyone's friendly and greets one another as they walk past each other on the trail. Even bikers are friendly.

This park is a nice, quiet place and not overly crowded for sure. The lighthouse, beach, and picnic area are all very picturesque. The trail, however, was closed when we visited. But that wasn't a big deal as we were there for a fun day by the beach. The park is dog-friendly (on leash), and the water is pleasantly cold for kids to swim even on a slightly warm day (maybe because it's an open space and it was windy, too). Overall, it was a very pleasant visit. The car parking was easily available as well, around 2 pm and it didn't get any full till 5 pm atleast.

You can choose to sit by the shore, at the park, or near the kids' playground. People were celebrating birthdays and other special events in large groups. Others were roaming alone. Whether you are here for a swim, kids-centric activities, or just for leisure time, this place caters to all needs.

It was busy though everyone was nice. Biking on the paths lead to some great views and those are new and super nice.

Great little spot for a picnic and nice to walk around the lighthouse. Beach is ok. It's less sand and more gravel, and the water often has moss in it. But nice to sit.

Had a picnic date here with my wife last June, It’s a CLAYGO (Clean as you go) park. Birds are just so very used to people. Sometimes it’s just kind of noisy because of the boats and jetski’s passing through in and out of the port

I wish the pathways were cleared of snow by the city. A great place to walk but covered in ice this morning.

Such a beautiful place for walking, running, biking, picnic etc. We loved it so much so we went back next day again for a long run. You can see a gorgeous view of lake and sunset in the evening and it’s reflection is a bliss. Waterfront trail is connected to this park and it’s perfect.

I've been here many times. With tonnes of board walk to walk on, your legs will hurt before you go from end to end. Very nice scenery with a park nearby for the kids and lots of space for picnics. Ample space for parking as well. You can also go right down to the pier if you want. Great place to go and stretch your legs!
