As someone who lives in Willowbrook area, I’ve been to Lumes probably more than 20 times so far. My pictures aren’t that good because every time I get there, food is so delicious I can’t deal with my phone, I need to eat it immediately. Lithuanian server was very kind last time, unfortunately I don’t know her name. Menu has numerous options, food is out very fast, and they’re not expensive at all. Love their coffee and fresh juices. Eggs benedict and pancakes are must have for sure!

Cappuccino was luke warm at best. Omelet was very bland. Absolutely no seasoning. French toast was dry and over cooked. Atmosphere is hospital cafeteria vibe. Overall disappointing. Will not be back.

First time in USA and we were so lucky that we find accidentally this restaurant. We order the Lumes burger and many other things from the menu like veggie skillet, and pancakes. We came in a rush hour but the service was impeccable. I order the burger medium well and it was cooked perfect. We also meet the owner Ms Betty who was very polite and helpfull. At the end Lumes is a place that anyone must visit when arrives in Chicago.

No it from the area, but came by for brunch while I was nearby. The menu is great. Very reasonably priced and the portions are very American (large!). My waiter was named Christian. He was very attentive super nice and the food came out easily within 10min. I ordered the veggie skillet with pancakes and a mimosa as well. The orange juice was fresh squeezed! Definitely come by and support this establishment. Thank you Christian!

As our first experience at Lumes, we walked in to find a large line. We requested a table for two and ended up waiting longer than groups of 4 who arrived after us. The food was delicious and we cannot recommend it enough, however there were a few downsides other than that. The water glass I was initially given was smeared with egg and potatoe, and then I was given the wrong food when it came out. The waitress was very kind about it, and got me the correct food, but it does not excuse having to wait extra time while my girlfriend sat with food infront of her. Additionally, their syrup is a bit strange. I couldnt put ny finger on what was different about it, but there was an option to upgrade to full maple syrup for an additional $2.50, which seemed strange to me. In conclusion, the food was great, but the experience was not.

Decent breakfast. Comparable prices and quality to Blueberry Hill as far as skillets and standard breakfast goes. I'm not personally huge on the asthetic, it looks more like an IKEA than a home-cooked breakfast place, but I know many people like the industrial look, so to each their own. Service was STELLAR. We had the nicest people asking how we were, including waitresses whose areas we weren't sitting in, so they're definitely going above and beyond with service. I'll be trying their lunch menu next time I'm in and updating my review.

I enjoyed my second visit to this cute and cozy establishment. While I appreciate everyone working so hard and being so diligent at what they do, I don't appreciate being refused to get an additional glass of orange juice. I was simply told no - which is fine by me. I wanted some citrus with my meal rather than tea, coffee, soda, or water. I was feeling under the weather. I was hoping to get some orange juice. Either they ran out or were just stingy. 👎🏾 My meal would have been much tastier with purified or spring water instead of straight from the tap. Unless someone invites me to come here and will be paying for my meal, I won't be returning or recommending this joint to anyone! 🙅🏽‍♂️ Step ya game up because it is weak and forgettable! Just so we're clear, you can only get fresh squeezed juices ONCE and only ONCE during a meal! And it doesn't matter if you are willing to pay for it again. 😈

Whoever worked this morning, screwed the order. When I opened a bag, I noticed they didn't make what I asked for, and I'm already 20min. Away from the restaurant. They will re do my order, but I have to pay for someone to deliver it to me, cause the person that answered the phone wasn't listening. I gave another call, and the lady on the front desk started arguing, instead apologizing. She was rude, unprofessional, and unpolite. I'm a loyal customer but after this incident I don't think I'll come ever again.

We arrived and were seated almost immediately, we ordered and received our food in record time. It was tasty. I would definitely go again because they have a stuffed German pancake that I need to get my hands on!

Literally can’t believe how great the food is. You can taste the lack of grease and the organic ingredients. This place has some of the most wholesome tasting breakfast I have ever had. Breakfast is my favorite meal so finding this place was like finding a hidden gem. Even some of the more upper class places don’t taste as fresh, there was literally no grease residue under my potatoes! Fresh fresh fresh….

The best gluten free waffle ever! My daughter and I shared gf healthy overnight oats with almond milk, walnuts, strawberries and bananas! Delicious!! We then shared the gf waffle with fresh blueberries! Outstanding!!! Clean, very friendly service, and a wonderful menu. We will be back! No pics yet because we were too busy devouring the food!

Wife and I have been to this establishment 5 times and food and service has been great so far. I have nothing negative to say. Can get busy , I'm assuming because it's good and par for the course because there so many lazy people now in days they are short staffed like every other restaurant I go to but I feel it's worth the wait.

Lumes never fails to impress. But to give an honest review, I'll start with the cons first. Sometimes when you walk in there, you see many open tables but you still have to wait to be seated. I think that has to do with the amount of servers that could only serve a maximum amount of tables. Also there have been rare times when you're waiting a long time for someone to come around for coffee refills...again, it's rare but it's a pet peeve. Lastly, they don't do nearly enough with weekly (or weekend) specials. It's an opportunity to temporarily roll out new, creative dishes to test what should be added to the menu permanently. They should visit the crispy waffle to see that there are three special dishes that you can order on a Saturday morning. We are there so much, that the menu tends to get stale and would appreciate some new choices. Now for the pros. The wait staff is absolutely impeccable. Out of the six or so servers that they have on the weekends, there is only one that we don't like...but honestly, It's only because she's all business. Almost every one of the servers knows exactly how we like our coffee and they bring it to the table without even asking which we love. The food is always very good. Without exaggeration, we have probably eaten at this location in Willowbrook 175 times in the last 2 years. In all that time, I had only two or three complaints about the food. And as it turns out, the worst one was actually my fault. Each time, they asked if they could get me something else. That's great customer service. The hostess is always greet us with a smile when we walk in the door and sometimes we even get a visit by the owner at our table. Lumes in / near Willowbrook is the very definition of what a restaurant should be.

My family and l have been in many breakfast restaurants and most of them have good food but the coffee is terrible... And l found this place and l decide to go in family for another Sunday breakfast and this place combine everything... Great food, good atmosphere, good portions and absolutely great coffee.
