WONDERFUL VALUE. WONDERFUL MEAL We were thrilled with the food. The restaurant is middle European ethnic, Azerbaijani specifically. The food is extremely generous, and beautifully spiced and cooked. There is a wide range of menu choice. The restaurant also offers specialty breakfasts. I had the beef stew in a clay pot. Utterly delicious. Tenderest pieces of beef, complemented with gorgeous chewy chestnuts and many other vegetables and spices. My husband had the chicken breasts, pictured here, stuffed, and glazed with a piquant sauce. The servings are huge and amazing value for the low cost. The cooking elevates this restaurant far beyond its price point. Vegetables are listed separately on the menu but are provided at no cost as part of the larger dish. Before our meal, a platter of fried bread and garlic butter was set before us with a sweet little dish of very crumbly and delicious feta cheese. The restaurant is a narrow, long space, with a bar and counter for pastries and bread as you enter. The decor is quite homely with murals of dark rain swept European streets on the walls. There are some comfortable banquettes and some chairs and tables. Lots of plates and small decor objects are affixed to the brick opposite walls. Black ceiling and low lighting adds to a cozy atmosphere. I rarely compliment a restaurant on their choice of music. This was lovely. A sophisticated jazz saxophone played at low level so that one could enjoy the music, but converse easily. Very highly recommended. Great addition to Avenue Road!

What an amazing restaurant! The owner makes things lively and the service is great. Highly recommend, especially for birthdays. Some of the many foods we enjoyed here: mixed appetizers, meat blintzes, khachapuri, beef kebab with grilled veg. The tea was also lovely and it stays heated over a candle.

Highly recommended! My wife and I wanted to taste everything so we ordered enough food for 4 people! Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I had a glass of a nice Georgian wine. Our favorite dishes were the Eggplant rolls, shah plov and the dip that came with the complimentary bread. Considering how much we ordered, the bill was very reasonable. If you can go with a group you'll be happy to try more variety as it's a large menu.

I am so happy that a restaurant like Old Avenue opened up in my area. The food is always excellent and there is something for everyone on the menu. The freshly baked bread is so good. Their specialty items are amazingly delicious. The staff is efficient, caring and friendly. The owners sincerely care about the quality of the food they serve and that their customers have a good experience dining and loving what they eat. The ambience of the room is warm and relaxing. I wholeheartedly recommend Old Avenue.

Coziest place in Toronto! From entrance to Restroom, this place is packed with antiquity from personal collection of owner. I felt like in my Grandma’s home not in restaurant :) Now about service. You will see Azerbaijani/ Caucasian hospitality to the fullest! Hosts will make sure you feel like visiting your closest relative and in a safe space of friends and family! What about food? Reality exceeded my expectations tbh. I would never think that with products you can purchase from Canada you can make traditional Azerbaijani, Georgian food so perfectly! We ordered Azerbaijani & Georgian Khinkali, Azerbaijani traditional “dushbere” soup (little dumplings filled with minced lamb meet), Azerbaijani “choban” & “mangal” salads, “lyulya” wrap (minced lamb kebab) and Georgian Khachapuri. Each and every food we tried was tasking right, as we have it back home! If you ask me, Old Avenue is the most delicious Caucasian restaurant in GTA ( believe me I have tried even not all but most). Don’t miss this experience ;)

The food here is amazing. I will keep returning until I have tried every item on their menu. The decor of this establishment is so impressive, and well executed. Haven't seen a place like this ever in this area. The staff were so friendly and kept checking to make sure everything was good. The owners are also so delightful. Thank you for bringing something unique to this community we're so happy to have you. I know you mentioned high tea in the new year and I'm looking forward for when it comes to the menu. Was compelled to write this review due to the amazing food & service received last night. It was fairly busy for a Monday evening. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and the food was simply delicious. We will be back for sure.

We went there for my son and my birthday. The atmosphere was so amazing, the appetizer was so tasty. We ordered beef kebab, Lula kebab, I never had such a good meal like this in Toronto. For a dessert they recommended either Azeri Baklava or Napoleon. It was really delicious, price was reasonable. I will go there for sure.

I’ve been saving this place for a while, and finally had the chance to go on my birthday. It didn’t disappoint me at all. Everything was great! Interior is unique and cozy, and it was easy to park the car right in front of the restaurant. I’ll for sure come back again 🫶🏼

From the warm welcome we received when we walked into until we all said good bye many hours later, we had a wonderful time. The atmosphere is so cozy and there are so many things to look at accompanied by many wonderful stories. We had no idea what to expect with the food, but each dish we ordered was so tasty, beautifully laid out and unique. Our vegetarian needs were accommodated easily as everything is made as you order. We are excited to return....and it will be soon.

Just had the most incredible time at Old Avenue Restaurant! The Southern Caucasus cuisine was an absolute delight, and everything tasted so delicious. I could tell they put a lot of thought and love into this place. The vibe was amazing and I felt so immersed in the experience.Staff was amazing and knowledgeable. Went tonight for a girls night out. We got some salads and dips with the most amazing bread to start. Then shared a meat platter/board, with a few other dishes. The food was incredible and so fresh. The service was great and the atmosphere was friendly. This is a must try. Can't wait to go back and take my mother. Will also try the weekend brunch!

Highly recommended!!! We visited Old Avenue Restaurant today. We celebrated my birthday and family day. It was amazing. The food is delicious and very authentic. We like Caucasian food so we can compare, and it was 5 stars. The place itself is beautiful, each item is with great taste and I felt like I visited a restaurant in Baku. The service was amazing, everything was quickly served and with a smile. We met Ester the owner and she was so nice. We will definitely come back. My kids also loved the place and the food. I recommend to book a table in advance as I did.

Great restaurant, everyone will definitely find there something up to their taste. Everything was delicious, even considering how picky my husband it - he really enjoyed the food there. Decorations are out of this world, you just want to keep checking them out, since they’re so many unique and antique things. Quiet back ground music will allow you to enjoy the atmosphere of this place .

My girlfriend and I went to Old Avenue for Valentine's day dinner and what a experience it has been. Food: Delicious! Very flavorful, tasty, good quality food. It is a must try. Service: Outstanding! Not only the food was amazing, but the service was also great. The owner was so friendly and attentive, he really made sure that all his guests were comfortable and being looked after. He surely made our experience even better. Ambient: Really nice, well decorated place that takes you back to the 50s, 60s vibes. To sum up, I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for good food and good service. It is a must try!

Enjoyed an awesome 6 person friend reunion dinner here - Mediterranean specialties so good and so fun to try! It’s not very big, but the Owner personally greeted us-very welcoming! Found out they’ll do corporate events during the day. Owner gives back to the community-helps over 200 single women every Christmas! I highly recommend this restaurant.

What an amazing place! We celebrated my mother in law birthday and we had a fantastic time. The food is so delicious unusual. The atmosphere is so welcoming. It feels like you visiting a close friend. We loved it! Right away I recommended it to all my friends.

A very nice and unique restaurant, we went here to celebrate a friends birthday party and it was honestly amazing! The owner was very nice and recommended us awesome dishes especially the Saj! Will definitely return it was a great experience

I’ve lived in Toronto for 7 years now and this is now one of my favourite restaurants in the city. Everything was perfect - taste, quality, and service. I tried the rack of lamb and it was the best I’ve ever had. The owner was also so kind to come to each table and speak with us. We received a complimentary dessert (creme brûlée) and even though we were stuffed we had every bite. The complimentary tea at the end was also amazing, a perfect way to end the dinner and digest. We will surely love to come back!

4.5 experience: Really enjoyed the food specifically the Chebureki, home made bread and the Khachapuri. Experience is as expected it is meant to be rustic. Service was fine and everything tasted fresh and homemade. (Except the mini cheesecakes which to me seemed store bought) The rice was a bit undercooked and be aware with that same rustic feel the bar does not do cocktails. It is beer, wine and liquor straight. Tried the recommended Georgian white wine and liked it.

Everything we ordered is good! Flavours are layered nicely, the eggplant rolls and latte is beyond my expectation. Indoor atmosphere is really good, lots of interesting little things on display.

Went there to celebrate my graduation with my family. Being a picky eater I found a lot of options to choose from. The food was delicious, and came in big portions. The staff and the decorations were great. I recommend going to this restaurant!
