incredible experience! 100% gluten free. The Peking duck was a true masterpiece, perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor. The pancakes were phenomenal. The veggie and chicken spring rolls were a delightful appetizer that left me wanting more. Softshell crab was incredible. What truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding customer service provided by Emily. Her attentiveness and knowledge of the menu made the evening unforgettable. I can't wait to return to Riz for more delicious food and wonderful service.

I'm not going to bury the lede here - this isn't just a "great gluten-free restaurant", it's a great restaurant, period. The food is excellent; my SO (who is celiac) absolutely devoured everything we ordered - though regrettably we missed asking for the dessert menu, an oversight we will absolutely be rectifying on our next visit. We started with shrimp tempura and vegetable tempura as appetizers; both were perfectly crispy, with no off-flavours from the batter or the oil. The beef broccoli was great, but the pad see ewe was the surprise standout. The real kicker was discovering there was a frozen prepared meals section, which we took full advantage of. We wound up chatting with the owner, who let us know that the full menu was available for take-away frozen meals if ordered in advance, which was very much appreciated. Will definitely be coming back - when the holidays take us down to Toronto to visit, Riz will definitely be included in the meal planning for the celebrations.

When the owner decides the entire menu for your Gluten Free dinner! FABULOUS MEAL!! What an amazing night. I was so happy that everything we ate was Gluten free, even served on plates that were labled GF. The quality, the freshness, the flavours, I was simply blown away. As a Celiac, you are so very limited and always worry when eating out, not tonight at RIZ So very pleased with everything and HIGHLY recommended.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Riz. My husband (not celiac) and I (celiac) went here for dinner and were blown away. Each item we tasted was better than the last. The Peking duck with pancakes was perfectly rich and crispy. The traditional dim sum items taste exactly as I remember them. My husband said the spring rolls are as good as non gluten free. Make sure you save space for dessert because the pecan tart in unreal. The staff and ownership were so lovely and made our meal memorable. We’ll definitely be back!!

What a fabulous experience! 27 years ago I had Peking Duck, then I was diagnosed as a coeliac. Moved to Canada and found the gluten-free options to be 15 years behind. Fast forward and I have found Riz Gluten-Free. Oh it was heaven. So much so, I took a whole order to go. Gosh, I'm so grateful - thank you. We will be back.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Riz Gluten Free Asian Kitchen is an absolute treasure, especially for those with celiac disease, gluten-free preferences, or anyone in search of a delightful meal. This entirely gluten-free restaurant offers a diverse array of Asian dishes, making it a fantastic culinary experience for everyone. The fact that the entire restaurant is gluten-free is a game-changer, providing a safe haven for those with dietary restrictions & offering a worry-free dining experience. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option, the quality of the food makes every penny well worth it. Each dish is a delectable journey through various Asian flavours, showcasing the chef's dedication to both taste & gluten-free authenticity. The venue, though small, exudes an energy that is simply priceless. While getting comfy in your seat may pose a slight challenge due to the limited space, the vibrant atmosphere within the restaurant more than compensates for it. The cozy setting adds to the overall charm of the dining adventure, creating a warm & welcoming ambiance. In summary, I would give Riz Gluten Free Asian Kitchen a resounding 10/10 recommendation. Whether you're on a gluten-free diet or simply in search of a delicious meal, this restaurant is sure to leave you impressed. The dedication to gluten-free excellence, diverse menu, & energetic atmosphere make it a must-visit for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. You will not be disappointed!

I went there about 2 weeks ago and had an amazing experience trying gf pan-asian food! We were visiting from Vancouver and the owner personally greeted us with Wontons on the house (my personal favourite food we tried there!) If you're celiac and in the GTA def give this place a try you won't regret it! 100% recommend. (the photos are the Wontons, Chicken Gyoza, and Pad Thai)

The food tasted good (that’s why the 2 stars) but the restaurant was not in a good condition. It was infested with fruit flies, sofas were stained and the glasses weren’t clean. Despite bringing this to their attention, they also charged a ‘default’ service charge of 15%. Don’t visit this restaurant to dine in, at-least not in summer.

I’m giving just 3 stars to this establishment for our dining experience today. While the food was deliciously prepared the ambiance was a complete disappointment and let down. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant by their feature wall. When the food was served there was an unusually high amount of fruit flies that disturbed our dining. While we had hoped to tolerate it assuming the ventilation would take of it, it only got worse. When we asked the restaurant staff to do something about it, they offered us to move us to another table but expressed their concern that the flies would still follow the food - not exactly a suggestion to offer us then I guess! The back rest of the cushions on the long seating section by the wall could do with cleaning. It was very dirty with smudges and stains and we didn’t feel it was acceptable. We also learnt that as a (Japanese) restaurant, they are allowed to add service charges mandatorily as against it being per the discretion of the diners. (Learnt something new!) Note for diners, they do have a policy that mentions it on their menu card and their website. We had Goyza, Spring Rolls, Basil Chicken with Rice and Black Pearl Pad Thai Shrimp+Chicken. Overall service staff was courteous and friendly and the food was good too. Just the ambiance with the flies made our dining experience a little disappointing.

I am so excited to have a delicious gluten free restaurant. The service was wonderful, and had great recommendations for us to try. We had shrimp tempura, chicken gyzoa, chicken curry and citrus fish. I am gluten free and pescatarian, and this was one of the best lunches I've ever had.

I’m beyond grateful for this restaurant. You wouldn’t know everything is GF because the taste is incredible! The owner and staff are so hard working to ensure everything is made with care and tasty. We ordered our usual items, but the recommendations were very appreciated too! We would not usually order pecking duck & pancake, but it’s amazing! Must try! Thank you for making delicious GF items , it’s so freeing to order whatever we want off the menu. We felt the love 💕

This restaurant was THE BEST gluten free restaurant my husband and I have EVER been to!! My husband is Celiac so every time we go out to eat, he has to be very careful and he can't fully enjoy his meal. At Riz Gluten-Free, he was able to eat everything stress-free and EVERY SINGLE dish we ordered was INCREDIBLE!! We ordered five appetizers, two mains and a dessert! I cannot stress enough how delicious everything was. This was one of the most satisfying meals we have ever had!! Although we live more than an hour away from this restaurant, we will be going back again and again, for sure! Plus, the staff were very, very friendly! We 100% recommend this place for anyone!

Unbelievably delicious meal, celiac safe! We had dim sum like shu mai, ha ghow, and tried their delicious spring rolls, crispy beef and must try fried rice! Can't believe a restaurant went to this length to make truly delicious gluten free options. Worth the trip!

OMG MY MIND HAS BLOWN AFTER COMING HERE! Gluten free Asian food has never tasted better as good as it tasted here! If you are looking for the best gluten free Asian food in the GTA or even in Ontario I would highly recommend Riz! I have been celiac since birth and this place is awesome for people like me who have dietary restrictions but still want to enjoy the best food out there! They do gf, dairy free and they can also accommodate other allergies! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE FOOD HERE! I came all the way from kitchener because of their reputation and they lived upto their reputation! The trip down was absolutely worth it! The ambience is amazing! and the price is very reasonable! You get a bang for your buck! Truly a rare gem in Toronto and I would absolutely come back! Also, the owner is the nicest person ever! The service is impeccable and I just loved how the owner cared so much about our experience there and also took time to answer any questions that I had! They also checked in on us regularly to see if we were liking everything. we loved everything! Every food item was awesome and top notch but my favourites were their spring rolls and their coconut raspberry tart! I can literally have them again everyday! Items don’t even taste gf and that is coming from my friend who is not celiac! So that says a lot about how good the food is- just the absolute best🤤🤤

I'm a Celiac stopped in and tried Riz while on a business trip in Toronto. I brought some friends so that we could order more dishes to try. Everything was absolutely delicious and presented beautifully, and all 100% gluten free. It's such a treat to be able to order anything on the menu, and to have such a wide choice of items. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Food was amazing! I have been celiac for a year and it tasted totally like the normal version but is completely safe for me, which was exciting. Emily and all the staff were so kind and helpful and even gave me a gift for my first time there! We love Riz! Will be back soon!

GO HERE- One of the best gluten free spots I’ve ever been to. The food was incredible, the waitstaff were so friendly and there was even a dessert menu The owner was so lovely and gifted us a set of the “gluten free” plates they use! Would recommend the mango chicken and the spring rolls! Worth every penny!

I travelled here from out of town over two hours away and I can say I was not disappointed!! Staff was beyond accommodating: food - exquisite; we ate more than I could muster with the chicken, pad sea ewe, calamari, won ton soup, beef and broccoli and another chicken disk for two people and devoured it all!! The atmosphere was quiet and lovely. Thank you so very much for having us; can’t wait to return!

As a celiac, I have been going to Riz for years after discovering them on social media. They are always so friendly and welcoming and the new location just added to the nice ambiance. The food is always absolutely delicious (which always leads to us ordering one of everything we want). This has become a special place we come back to regardless of the 45 mintier drive and we will continue to go the distance to eat here because the experience is so worth it.

One of the most amazing meals I have had in Toronto in a long time! I recently came back from Hong Kong and Riz has truly perfected the flavours and dishes from that region. As I have recently gone gluten free this was one of the most amazing meals combining my favourite cuisine while accommodating my health restrictions, without lacking any of the quality of the dish! I would definitely recommend the Peking duck if you have not tried it before!!

Thank you for everything Riz! Had a lovely time with my friend ❤️ As a celiac, I'm very grateful to have somewhere safe (and delicious) to eat. Highly recommend the gyoza, spring rolls, and dim sum. Also thank you for the gift at the end of the night!

I was So full after I had a "food baby"! Three pages in their pamphlet menu of Gluten Free foods. I favor the dim sum (Chinese Breakfast) steamed noodles with sweet tasting shrimp inside. we ordered a double order (8 in total) I ate 7/8. My drink I tried was the Shirley Temple. Delicious. Appetizer we had: gluten free (most likely fried) calamari. Last food item I filled up on was the *sticky rice* with pork, comes wrapped in big (Banana?) Leaves, comes in one of their steamed containers. My husband ordered the spinach steamed noodles. Very Good. Genuine, rich spinach taste. This restaurant is Gluten Free certified, which means it's a Great option for celiacs, and any other people really sensitive to Gluten. My husband and I went to this restaurant The Night, of the day we had our wedding. Fresh newlyweds. Pleased we went.

I honestly can’t say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. With limited gluten free options in the GTA this is one place that is an absolute gem. My dining partner (who is gluten intolerant) and I loved absolutely every dish we ordered. Everything was flavourful, beautifully presented and the service was wonderful! Very excited to revisit this place again :)

OMG, everything is so delicious!!! We ordered 3 appetizers and 3 main dishes and all of them were the most delicious. The restaurant, decor and ambiance is beautiful and relaxing too. We are loading up on dishes to take home as well because it was all so amazing! Service was great and staff are really friendly and prompt. Definitely coming back next time I’m in Toronto. Very pleased and impressed with the food and people running the place!

Riz Gluten Free Asian Kitchen NEVER disappoints. The food is delicious, and fresh always. I (celiac) have visited on a few occasions and have brought my friends & boyfriend (none of which need Gluten Free food) with me. You would never guess that everything was Gluten Free, but it is definitely an added bonus for those of us that need it! The Jumbo Veggie Spring Rolls are so tasty, and being able to have dumplings and gyoza was the best surprise. I have not had anything that I didn't like here. 10/10 would recommend to all Lifestyles, Gluten Free needed or not. The quality and taste of the food speaks for itself!!! Also the House Made Chili Oil is AMAZING, we put it on everything and bought some to take home. The owner was very personable and made many recommendations, and went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our meal. Thank you for the movement you are working so hard towards for the Gluten Free Community, we appreciate the effort and dedication to DELICIOUS options for everyone to enjoy!

This was an amazing experience. I have a wheat allergy and my husband is a vegetarian. The menu had so many options. The service was excellent, our server was amazing and so sweet. The food was quick and so good! The spicy peanut dumplings and crispy beef were perfection. Atmosphere was busy and vibrant. We will always be coming back to this gem when we are in Toronto.

I’d like to tell you about my favourite item but I can’t. There are so many amazing foods! This wasn’t a meal so much as an experience in flavour like I have never had. The goyza, the chicken spring rolls, the crispy beef and the chili oil! Everything is gluten free but packed with mind blowing flavour. Stop reading this right now and go. I said stop reading! GO NOW!

This place was fantastic! I have celiacs disease and it is so rare to find a 100% gluten free restaurant. I loved being able to walk in and not worry about cross contamination. My friend, who doesn’t have celiac, enjoyed the expansive menu. I will definitely go back next time I’m in Toronto! The food was excellent!

What a great experience to be able to go to a dedicated gluten free restaurant whilst visiting from the UK, not having to ask 101 questions to ensure it is safe to eat and what a gem it is! The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and welcoming and the food was lovely - you wouldn't know the difference! The owner reassured us everything on the menu was gluten and dairy free and we had the spring rolls, satay, calamari, cashew fried rice and Thai green curry - all very tasty and such a treat to be able to taste some of my husband's meal, too. Would definitely recommend and only wish we lived closer to be able to visit more often. #Glutenfree #GFvisitingToronto

Absolutely delicious! Who knew GFree frozen Asian food could taste this good! What a treat!! Fast and easy to prep at home .. will definitely buy again! Loved the crispy beef, tao chicken, wontons (with my own bone broth) and chicken gyoza served with my own fresh steamed rice! (Bought ours Riz on Yonge from Edible Options in St. Catharines)

Came back here again. Still just as good! Service was excellent! Terry again super nice and she even remembered me and my friend’s face from before. (Terry thank you for the extras). Her staff was also very friendly. It is the holiday season and they even gave us a little present at the end. Definitely a welcomed gesture. (I’ve never had a restaurant give me a gift before). Food was excellent just as before! Had the Three course Peking duck. Best Peking duck I’ve ever had. Gluten free wraps were unmatched. It came with duck soup and vermicelli duck noodles. Super yummy and very different. Her noddles are the best. You can’t even tell they’re gluten free. The three course meal would definitely recommend if you are a duck lover! Had the wonton soup… the new wrap style made the wontons even better than before. Shows Terry is constantly trying to improve her menu. Such a nice soup. Very light. Had the sweet and sour chicken- excellent Bok choy- so good and savory Singapore noodles- again you can’t tell they’re gluten free. Chewy and delicious. Overall great experience another time around. A must if you want Gluten free Chinese food. (Photo 1: Peking duck, wrap, bok choy, Singapore noddles) (Photo2: Peking duck after I ate half, wrap, the duck soup, bok choy, and duck noodles)

I have being going to this restaurant for a number of years and it once was very good. Lately not so much with the latest order being uneatable.. The Yam and broccoli tempura was like nothing I have seen before. see pic of Yam tempura.... I called the restaurant, thinking it was better to talk to them then post a bad review. I didn't want anything in return other than to make them aware. The person who answered the phone just continued to talk over me saying that is their special batter and i should order something else next time.. The more I tried to explain, the more she talked over me. I'm sorry but this is not great customer service and this is not tempura.

Amazing experience tonight! My daughter, sister and I tried Riz for the first time tonight. Very tasty food, 100% confidence in gluten free menu items, super friendly staff. My daughter has celiac disease and for the first time at a restaurant, she felt free to order whatever she wanted. What a great experience! We will be regulars for sure!

This restaurant serving Chinese cuisine is certified 100% gluten-free and therefore also worry-free for my celiac-suffering friend. I expected/anticipated a change in taste and texture to accommodate GF, but the difference was very minimal, and often times a welcomed change. The deep fried items are lighter than their non-GF counterparts so I ate more. The spring rolls and friend shrimp wonton were very crispy and flavourful. The gyoza, hargow, and siumai were also very good (we ordered these at 8pm! All day dimsum dishes ftw!) but our absolute favourite was the lotus pockets of rice and chicken. We also ordered a fried rice dish and sweet n sour chicken (my celiac friend went to town on their menu and ordered everything she missed eating for the past decade) Whether you are GF or not, this restaurant is worth a visit! PS: they're also dairy-free and nut-free

This restaurant is AMAZING! 100% gluten free!! My mom and I came in from out of town and our experience was great. The service went above and beyond; food came out quickly and the staff was so kind. All the food we tried was fresh and delicious, my non-GF mom said it didn’t taste gluten free at all. Would recommend to anyone, gluten free or not.

Very good service! They learned we were limited for time due to a flight to catch and they accommodated and got our food out to us timely! Delicious and flavour rich 100% gluten free Asian cuisine. As a person with celiac disease it was a dream to be able to order anything on the menu without having to ask any questions. Will be back next time I’m visiting Toronto.
