The food isn’t worth the price. It’s cold and stale, and the rice was hard. The chicken was very rubbery. The staff is also very dismissive. I went here with high hopes but left disappointed.

first off, the lovely lady that works there is so sweet and always giving suggestions which makes the food so much better! ill make sure to catch her name next time! the food is so delicious although sometimes there can be less sauce than i prefer. the service is much appreciated !

I am actually surprised at all the bad reviews unless they have changed. I went here multiple times recently and honestly I can’t complain about the food quality. Good food, not terrible value.

A bit of a mixed bag when I went. The food was decent and a better value than a lot of the other options on York's campus. The restaruant looked like it needed repairs with 2 broken tables and a wall that was messed up. The service was very slow, although the woman working the counter apologized and mentioned some unexpected problems they were running into that day. Fair enough. Overall one of the better options for food on campus, especially if they are able to make the repairs they already seem to be in the process of addressing.

Best burrito bowl I've had, I've had it 3 days in a row and I'm still thinking about it now. Staff is kind and didn't have any trouble with me ordering non- verbally, I cannot wait to come back later this week for another burrito bowl. They are so damn good.

More seating that a lot of other places. I wish they had a few more veggies you could add in to your order. Staff is nice and food is overall good.

I love Z-teca, always my go-to choice during uni. Grilled chicken bowl is just *chef’s kiss*. Lovely staff too:)

Extremely dissatisfied with the food and service, the staff was extremely rude and kept staring badly and rudely at us when we were asking for toppings…The taste of the sauce was too salty and the rice was bland, not cooked properly, wasted my money completely Its been more than 3 months to this complain, the owner mentioned he wants to make it right but he hasnt done it yet

I love the food. I love the people. But it upsets me the waist of the plastic lid. I am only walking to the table. I always say I dont want a lid and 1/4 of the time they still give me one. It is a waist! Sorry

So sad to see the place go downhill from the time I was here for school. 1. Burritos/bowls were 11$ after tax, now it’s 15.26$ (that’s with no special toppings) 2. The portions shrunk a lot. I’m talking very minimal amounts and when you ask for extra anything to get it to the original size it costs more. 3. My burrito was missing pieces- all the toppings fell right out. 4. Burrito/Chipotle sauce used to be wayyyyy better. I don’t know what the heck this new stuff is but it ain’t it. I loved Z-Teca, I don’t love what it is now…

I had quesadilla form here I would say that Guac mexi grill has much better quesadillas then this . Must recommend to visit Guac mexi grill in Vaughan for good quesadilla

The food is stale mostly. The portion size are terrible given the price. The only good thing is location at campus other than that don’t waste your money here unless you like eating small portions with less protein.

I ordered a chicken bowel and had way less portion of chicken in my bowel and more than 60% is rice. The chicken was chopped in tiny bits. The quality of food is going downhill. It’s not worth of money any more. I will go to chipotle on campus now.

Good food, but the prices raised and the food portions are smaller compared to before. Maybe it’s because they recently seem to have boosted in popularity.

The chicken taco had an intense taste rotten taste either from the chicken or the sour cream. When I went to speak to the girl she argued with me saying she just made everything, and that "I can't do anything if you just don't like the taste". I've had Zteca many times and nothing ever tasted rotten like it did here. May be a issue with food storage/preparation. Stay away from this place, definitely not safe for consumption.

They make a really great veggie burrito bowl and the staff later in the evening is so sweet!! Lunch or dinner this place is great for both meal times and caters to vegans and vegetarians. The staff are more than happy to assist you with questions and always give you a great portion, however it is a bit pricey!

Of all the franchised Mexican restaurants, this is by far the best. I'm frequently getting their bowls, and if you ask for extra helpings of their excellent salsas, they turn into truly delicious meals.

Overpricing for under quantity of food. They exploit students with such a poor service. I encourage people to rate it as low as possible to bring it in management’s attention

Burrito was slapped together and wasn't really communicated with about what I wanted inside. Half the burrito was cold and was pretty bland. Maybe the meat dishes are better, but for the price, the light life burrito was lacklustre.

Tiny portions for a very high price. There wasn't even enough rice in the burrito bowl to cover the bottom of the container and then a tablespoon of meat and toppings. The food itself tasted fine, but it's not worth going here when one meal isn't enough to leave you satisfied after the latest portion size changes.

This place sent me and my friend to the hospital. As soon as we got there, the staff were very rude and hostile and weren’t giving us welcoming energy. As we placed our orders and went about picking our topics, they were very disrespectful and wouldn’t give us the toppings we were requesting, even after we explained that we understood that some toppings cost extra, and that we would pay the extra fee. They were judgmental, kept giving rude stares, and the tone of voice was absolutely harsh. Now when it came to the food, I was horrified. The most disgusting burrito, and burrito bowl me and my friend have ever ate. The chicken tasted rubbery, the beef tasted expired and watery, the rice was stale and tasteless, and all of it together just became a recipe for disaster. The food smelled and tasted old and rancid. Regardless we gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried the food. Automatically we knew that it was going to get us sick. We understood that they restaurant was not going to give us a refund anyways, especially since they were radiating cheap, stingy, and money hungry energy since the minute we stepped into the restaurant. Regardless, we still wanted to warn them of the problems, just so that they can try to fix it for next time, and so no one else gets old food. When we notified them of the problem we were faced with a very harsh reaction, in which they told us that we were the problem and the food was completely fine. Apparently we didn’t know what good food was, and that the food was not old, nor smelly, nor gone bad. We accepted our defeat and walked away, and as we left the restaurant the management continued to give bad stares and whispers. That following night, me and my friend both landed sick with EXTREME food POISONING, which landed us both in the Emergency Room. Absolutely disgusted with this place, and it’s so disturbing how this is the overpriced, and dangerous food that they are serving on a SCHOOL CAMPUS, where people are trying to learn. Avoid this place at all costs!!!
