Highly Recommend: the hot chocolate drinks were awesome. Also, had a chocolate tart and that was really good as well. The place is small and cozy. I will certainly be back as want to try their crepes, they looked and smelled good but I did not get this time. The service could be improved specifically by getting more staff. The girls working there were great and nice, bravo! But on a Saturday afternoon 3:30pm they had many folks stop by and just one person barely keeping up with orders. I would have gotten more chocolates or crepe before leaving but seeing that it would take prolly at least 20-30 minutes before I could get my order I was just contempt with what I already had.

We got an extreme dark hot chocolate drink and a java milk hot chocolate drink. They were both very rich in chocolate and creamy / thick in consistency. I thought the extreme dark chocolate would be very bitter but it was not at all. I used to drink chocolate very often in the past but I hadn’t drunk it in years since I like foods & drinks with less and less sweetness as I grew up. The java milk hot chocolate wasn’t too sweet like I thought it would be but after a while we both needed some water. The almond croissant was soft and crunchy. There are thin almond slices and powdered sugar on top, frangipane (almond cream filling) spread between the croissant slice, and chocolate between the layers of the croissant. The chocolate was a nice surprise. The Quiche Lorraine was probably pre-made and re-heated since it’s a small coffee shop. The crust is crunchy / hard and soft on the inside with onion and bacon. It’s a nice little savory pastry for the morning enough to fill you up for a couple of hours without being hungry. Most customers came in to get drinks to go. You can also get chocolate / chocolate boxes here. The crêpes are made to order and I really want to try it, maybe next time.

Their hot chocolate is very very watery! I ordered the triple dark hot chocolate and I was disappointed by its lack of flavor and thicknesses. LA Burdick has a much much better hot chocolate so don't waste your money at this place. Bakery is okay but overpriced. I haven't tried their truffles but given the taste and quality of the hot chocolate I probably won't get any truffles or come again.

I’ve been to multiple Leonidas shops in Belgium and was so happy to see this in Chicago. Had to buy some chocolate to see if it was exactly the same and it is. You can select one of their chocolate boxes or ask for a bag and select a some pieces which will be charged by the pound. We also had a Caramel Frappe and Cappuccino to go and both were excellent. The drinks were surprisingly reasonably priced, you can zoom up on the picture with pricing to see all the drink prices.

So Disappointed this use to be one of my favorite places to eat for breakfast. I sent a coworker to pick up an order for me I even sent him with a list in detail what I wanted. They still got the order wrong I’m allergic to eggs they placed eggs on my sandwich and showed Zero remorse. For the price of this food you would think the customer service would be at an all time high. Maybe I’ll try another location or just stop eating here altogether. I am very Dissatisfied and Disappointed Update I got a phone call that I didn’t answer and waited too late to listen to the voicemail. after I wrote this review about the poor service and the lady telling me how I shouldn’t eat croissants if I’m allergic to eggs. News flash lady I know that. Which is why he ordered the sandwich with only BACON WITH AN ADDITIONAL CROISSANT. I only wanted the BACON OFF OF THE SANDWICH. Accept the poor service that was given and this honest review. I see why her customer service sucked look at the management

I found this during a weekend in Chicago. I had breakfast here both mornings, as it was charming. I had both breakfasts in their patio area and watched Chicago walk by. The service was warm and prompt; lovely employees. (End of Sept. was my visit) It is a small establishment, so do not bring a family reunion, but both mornings I saw a family of four enjoying breakfast on the patio. This is the GOOD chocolate! Lacking in wax, stabilizers, and nonsense. My husband is ordering my Valentine's Day gift as I type. I would prefer to drive three hours just to enjoy their ambiance and lovely staff.

The sweetness of apples and the saltiness of Brie made the Brie & Apple Crepes outstanding. I liked the small shop with the great servers that made my order fresh and exceeding expectations.

Parisienne hot chocolate is delicious! Nice quality buttery croissant too! They also have the most delicious gifting chocolates. You can choose the chocolate pieces and they will fill a box of your liking. Very European vibes in there, make sure to stop by.

Crepe Madame was a huge portion but a mismatch of the quantity of each ingredient, i.e., was too dry as crepe was huge, a hefty portion of ham but bechamel white sauce was minimal and some should have been poured on the outside of the crepes and needed either 2 sunny side up eggs or an extra large one considering the other proportions. The drip coffee, black, was fantastic. Dined in with newspaper, was a tad too warm, a little more air-conditioning would've been nice.

Cute little delicatessen off of Michigan ave and Chicago subway 🚇 station. All of the chocolates are shipped in from Belgium 🇧🇪 home of some of the best chocolates in the world. Great place for a quick treat!

Bought the triple chocolate hot chocolate and peppermint tea. The hot chocolate was friggin' delicious and would 100% buy it again if I'm ever back in Chicago! The peppermint tea was your typical tea that did not disappoint. Both hot beverages were at the perfect temperature to drink right away without burning your tongues. Service was quick since we got there right when it opened and no one else ordering. Without a doubt, I'd recommend this place for their hot drinks.

My favorite shop for coffee and sweets. Beautiful indoor and outdoor seating. I had a cafe noisette and a package of macarons. Nice touch - they bring the coffee to your table instead of having to wait at the counter for them to yell out your name.

Cranberry and brie croissant, Mexican hot chocolate and a pistachio machiatto are the perfect wait for ships to open! The dark chocolate Bretagne to follow. Great intro to downtown Chicago and pizza planning.

This feels like you’re stepping into a French cafe, down to the table and chairs! I got the Nutella Latte and it was great. Not sweet but packed with flavor. I do wish they would’ve asked what kind of milk/dairy I would’ve liked my drink made with.

Charming little jewel of a cafe! Not only do they have delicious coffee selections, but wonderful food. Yes, you see the tempting display of yummy chocolate items and pastries, but their menu has so many delicious meals. I highly recommend this cafe!

I tried the Extreme hot chocolate and it was delicious : whole milk, chocolate and sweet (I was afraid it would be bitter but was not). Fair price. I will come back to taste something else!

Cozy crêperie with fresh fruit and real whip cream on the crepes. Friendly staff. Awesome cappuccinos! It’s just off Michigan Avenue so it’s not crowded, which makes it relaxing.

This place is really good. It's the type of quaint bakery that you don't usually find in tourist areas. I have only had the drinks and bakery items but the blueberry muffins alone are enough to keep me coming back. They are so good and buttery. I have been recommending to friends/clients coming to town.

The mango macron was delicious 😋. The hazelnut left something to be desired. The organetta were very good.
