The quality and quantity of food served here will make you come back for more. Simone, our server, expertly took care of our dining needs. She anticipated our next questions and requests. I am impressed by the turkey sandwich that was made with real, roasted turkey, not with thin sliced meat. The Caesar salad was delicious with fresh ingredients. The lemon chicken rice soup tasted homemade with perfect seasoning. The BLT pita was absolutely delicious. It tasted healthy with fresh vegetables and real turkey meat. I highly recommend this restaurant to all diners, not just sports fans.

Burger was decent, fries were great. My fiancee loves her chicken delight and they even split her side to half a salad and half fries. Menu was a bit off (no chocolate milk listed but apparently they had some and lists can of pop for 1.50 but is a fountain drink with refills for 2.75) Really good prices and our server was really good too. We'll be back

If you’re not from Windsor you HAVE to try penalty box. Penalty Box is practically a way of describing Windsor’s best cuisine. The food is always fresh, packed with flavour, massive portions and delicious taste. Mind you, you will be waiting quite some time to pick up your food as they are probably the busiest restaurant in Windsor. But rightfully so!! When you have food this amazing, that tastes great every.single.time, the wait is worth it! My families been eating here since we moved to east Windsor 5+ years ago. So when ordering, expect roughly an hour to get your food. Never ordered from here and don’t know where to start?? The chicken delight. Maybe just my opinion but this is their signature dish. 🍗 If you’re a vegetarian, you have plenty of options too! 🥦 Highly recommend a visit.

**2 Stars** My Steak Pita had only two pieces of Steak, was basically a Veggie Pita (view photos). Wedges were okay. I'll try it again in 6 months, maybe.

A Windsor institution!!! Good value, friendly staff, unique flavour combos, super busy. Reilly our server was fantastic! Walls are covered with mostly hockey memorabilia. Seating is tight without isolation from the staff prep area. Grilled chicken dinner was cooked to perfection with salad n fries. Ribs ordered with Cajun and Lemon spice…? It works!!! May have to try this at home. Cauliflower/Cheese soup was… Meh. Needed more of one or the other. Give it a try!!’

First time coming here with my buddy and we really enjoyed it! Knowledgable, friendly staff. Really good food for the prices. A dated yet cozy atmosphere. I'd come back. I'd pass on the poutine next time - However the triple Decker club was great! Definitely want to try something new next time. Also, the mozza sticks with the meat marinara were awesome! Wish there was more in a single order. Only 5. 😔

Service was reasonably fast and our server was very pleasant to interact with. The food seemed fresh and was warm! I ordered a turkey gyro with pita bread and it did not disappoint. Maybe a bit too big for me but still, yummy! My girlfriend got a chicken lime skewer and wow was it delicious! She put some lemon on there and I was wishing I had ordered what she got. The French fries were interesting. It's hard to explain but they have like, a hard exterior and soft interior. Crisp corners. Hope that makes sense! Nice place :)

Can never go wrong with a chicken delight! A local staple for a reason! So tasty & filling with fresh ingredients. Love that you can get half fries and half salad for the best of both worlds.

I LOVE this restaurant! Whenever I find myself in or around Windsor it’s a must visit no matter the detour. The chicken delight is mouthwatering delish. The staff are so nice and accommodating even with the current staffing situation (which is everywhere). 100% recommend Windsor’s Penalty Box!

They have some of the best food in town and the portions are very hearty. The most famous fish is definitely the chicken delight. I always get with Greek salad sometimes with their wedge fries and Greek. The dressing is homemade deliciousness and you must not forget the yellow sauce! I also enjoy their souvlaki dinner or the penalty box baked fettuccine with chicken. Never disappointed! Friendly service.

I enjoyed the food here. Solid burger and pretty tasty fries with some feta cheese. Mozzarella sticks were a little small but overall friendly service. I’d definitely come back.

Loved the chicken delite after a procedure at the hospital. This is a perfect location to grab a delicious meal after a 24 hour fast.

We visited the penalty box on a Monday. We found the food was on the more salty side. Not to where you can't eat it but everything had enough that's for sure. Everything seemed homemade.

A local staple for a reason! Amazing flavours, large portions & beyond friendly customer service! Will be back when in Windsor again!

The place is awesome. If I die tomorrow my only regret is I didn't eat here enough. I had the Chicken Delight with half fries and half salad in order to pretend I cared about calories. The staff is incredible and hard working.

I ordered chicken delight , the taste was good and everything looks so fresh and we also had a penalty box burger in that beef was so juicy and side fries and yellow sauce was good. Service was amazing. Must visit place in windsor.

Went with my sister because we had money to burrrrrn. 🎉 Have never been for lunch, was surprised at how busy. We order appetizers and they arrived in a timely manner. I was surprised at how cheap mozzarella sticks are here compared to other restaurants ($6.95 I think?). Chicken Delight and fries - tasted as good as it always does. The service was really good. I wish I knew the waitresses name. Haven’t had service that good in awhile at a restaurant. Will go back for lunch.

A neighbourhood staple - my family visits Penalty Box regularly and the food never disappoints. Got the broasted chicken dinner and it was piping hot and SO juicy. Coleslaw was fresh and got the yellow sauce for my fries. Would highly recommend!

I recently enjoyed a dinner at the Penalty Box. I was joined by mother who has mobility challenges. Staff were fantastic...and very accommodating, at the busiest time of operation. The meal did not disappoint (have eaten at this location previously). It was the attention to ensuring my mother could access her preferred seating and how staff (Mike) went of their way with meal service and related matters, that was so welcomed! So Thank You!

Great chicken, great prices, great service. Got the garlic bread for the first time, and it's a different take on any I've had before. Soft fresh bread, not too oily and not loaded over the top with cheese, perfect match.

Placed an order for 2 dinners on Saturday night after a Coworker commented on the great food here a few times. Drove across town shortly before they called to pick up the food which took 30 mins which wasn't bad at all as they seemed busy. We ordered a Pulled Pork Sandwich dinner and a Large chicken Caeser Salad. Got home opened and opened up the bag and none of it was what we had ordered. It turned out to be some sort of wraps. Called them immediately and unfortunately nobody answered the phone. Ended up paying for food we didn't order or want. Very disappointed with the service.

The food was nasty, half cooked fries. I literally hard to go fishing to find the fish which was located under a thick tasteless batter. Once located, to my surprise the fillet was not worth the effort I put into locating it. I don’t like mushy fish. The service wasn’t deserved of the tip that was left for her. The gravy was so salty I couldn’t eat it.They still charged me for the gravy. The 40% taken off the plate that I ordered was pretty much an insult. The policy that is in place, has proven that customer service is no longer a priority within this establishment. I told the waiteress that the dinner was probably the worst food I had eaten thus far. That didn’t even bother her. I bet it’s not the first or even second time she’s heard that.

No pictures here, but we go almost weekly and if not every other week. Penalty box is a staple in our household! When you call expect at least a thirty minute wait unless you’re ordering around 4:00. The chicken delight is seasoned perfectly. The chicken has so much flavour and if I’m raving about it you know it’s phenomenal because I don’t eat chicken! I order the steak delight with gyro toppings (fried onions and peppers) topped with feta and that special house sauce. The warm pita tastes as if it was made right before being served! It’s so doughy and delicious. We always get fries on the side and order a side of yellow sauce… it is sweet - maybe a honey mustard mixed with mayo? Try it out! We also know the family running it. Lovely people. Be sure to go to the original spot on Walker as we tried the Cabana site and while it was good it was missing some ooomphh!!! Will post photos next time we visit- shouldn’t be too long a wait!

Always excellent service and delicious food. Had the chicken delight and the mushroom soup. Two people out the door for $36 tax included and we could barely finish our plates. Glad to leave a 20% tip for good service. Good home cooked real food, lots of it, served by waiters and waitresses that hassle. Go there!

Food here is excellent. I tend to stick to the chicken or steak delight sandwiches. Decent service although every time I have dined in, it seems as though the servers have too much work assigned for one person. Food may take longer than expected to be brought out if dining in as they also offer take-out and they are often very busy. Easy-going atmosphere similar to a basic diner. The food is definitely worth trying and I am sure will have you going back!

Steak on a bun always been my one & only menu i enjoyed the most. Club sandwiches came in large portion but sadly the mayo or sauce were poorly given. My mom however enjoys their lasagna tho. After pandemic the portion size of their steak became smaller despite of the price that increased. I'm only writing based on what I've ordered from my last visit there.
