You’d be forgiven for thinking this place is some kind of posh, highly priced restaurant/bar on the waterfront. It’s actually just a nice pub that happens to be in a nice spot. Prices are perfectly reasonable and in-line with the food. I’ve been here a number of times over the last few years, the service has always been good, the manager is always whizzing around trying to please everyone. Only couple of negatives and one is on previous occasions I haven’t been able to order my first choice of dish from the menu, and one occasion had to go with my third choice! But I guess if they’re busy and run out then not much they can do. Also, when we were here recently I was stood at the end of the bar waiting to order when two waitresses were squabbling over taking food over to a customer, both refusing to do it…. Not ideal. Car park is ample. Great location, can get busy so pick your timing. We recently had burgers…. Very, very nice… come highly recommend.

First time at The Thames Court and I am happy to say it was superb. This is a very large pub work ample outdoor seating as well. A friendly welcome followed up by absolutely superb service from Hannah. Food was excellent and priced very fairly. We will be returning!

We have visited this place after more than 10 years and we were not disappointed. The service was fast and excellent that we couldn’t believe it! Our waitress Hannah went above and beyond despite the place was so busy. She exceeded our expectations. Our drinks and meals landed on our table after just few minutes from ordering. All was delicious and we will be back again soon! Thank you!

Stumbled across Thames Court whilst exploring the riverside. Excellent beer choice and decent lunches. Spectacular views across the river. Top recommendation for this area.

I've been to Thames Court quite a few times. Christmas Dinner, Sunday lunch, mother's day and of course the occasional sunny day as the outlook over the river here is pretty much perfect. Especially on a sunny afternoon. The food is always very nice. My experiences vary but there is always a long wait so I wouldn't come here if you have somewhere else to be however it is always worth the hangryness you may succumb in-between! They do have a lot of tables and a large carpark so although it's usually busy when I go, I've never had a problem getting a table or a space for the car. Service is good and the staff clearly work very hard. They do serve Curious brew which is a favorite of mine and a bit harder to find than other drinks so definitely give that a try if you do go here. Its one of those nice places you would take your mum too.

Been to this pub before and absolutely stunning views/location right next to the river. Friendly staff, good selection of beers/drinks and the food, even though limited on veggie/vegan options, is really delicious. On this occasion, I tried the spicy pepperoni pizza & triple cooked chips and loved every bit of it. Highly recommended pub and will definitely visit again.

Lovely pub in a great location by the river.Lovely food here , I had the pear and blue cheese pizza. It was absolutely lovely. It’s a lovely spacious pub and seating indoor and outdoor. Beautiful views and relaxing atmosphere. There is loads of choice on the menu and when you are sitting outside you can order from your phone.

Our first time at this restaurant, and very busy as expected as it was a Bank Holiday. It's at the beautiful Shepperton Lock, an ideal spot for lunch. Ample parking, important for us as my partner has mobility issues. We were made very welcome by a young waiter and shown to a lovely table in a small dining area, although a large restaurant, there are many small areas making it quite intimate. Menu was fine with a good variety. Service average, but baring in mind how busy it was it was acceptable. We shared tasty calamari and cofters between four of us. Our mains were good, cooked well. Only one criticism, portion size of the fish cake was extremely small, looked more like a starter, we ended up giving part of our meals to the person... we enjoyed our visit here and would certainly recommend.

Stunning getaway from London for the day. Great Sunday Roast. Sun was out. They were really busy and pre advised that service would be slow . Definitely would go back

We visited on Sunday, 28th Jan 2024 Positives: The staff were friendly and gave us the right amount of time to decide, and the food and drinks came out relatively quickly, considering it was a busy day for them. Toilets clean. Good value. Choice of drinks, notably the flavoured soda water and pilsner. Free Parking. Negatives: Our food was a little lukewarm - in fairness, the waitress asked how it was, and we both said fine as it wasn’t worth complaining and causing a fuss over it - We didn’t want to have it taken away or swapped at this point either. Other vintage Inns: The Globe, Bath and The Golden Retriever, Bracknell; on several Sunday visits, have been warmer, so we decided to give dessert a miss just in case. Where we were sat, the sun was in one of our eyes, and we were surprised there were no blinds/shades to avoid this. We did ask to move to an alternative table, but due to it being a Sunday, this wouldn’t have been an easy swap due to it impacting further bookings - I understood this and thought it was fair enough as it would have been a headache for them to deal with for the rest of the service.

Great pub just by Shepperton lock - good quality food - to be safe make a booking as I went there once and they were too busy to serve anymore food and I ended up having crisps and olives 🫒

The food and service were excellent. Keep up the good standard. I used to come to Thames Court a lot from 1997 when I came to live in the area. Then it seem to go downhill about 7 years ago and I had a few substandard meals. Just returning and hopefully will enjoy many lunches and dinners with you.

Very impressed. Requested a quiet table with a nice view and got exactly that. My mum is hard of hearing so being able to look out to the river was lovely for her. Our server Livvy was very friendly and smiley. Made us feel very welcome and gave good recommendations on the menu. Despite being busy each course came out quickly, fresh and hot. Everyone enjoyed every course. It was one of the best pub roasts I’ve ever had. Thanks again Livvy!

The whole event was very lovely, we were having a family lunch together and a surprise for our cousin. The service was impeccable, the staff were thoughtful and patient and very attentive. The meal was amazing everyone had different things and nothing disappointed. We did spend quite a bit of time and didn’t realise how long we had been there so one of the staff members politely advised us that there were people waiting for the next sitting!! We were not offended at all as she was so lovely about it and time did get away with us.

Having eaten here on many occasions I took my wife for a birthday lunch. Sad to say we were disappointed. The whole experience was rushed almost as if they wanted our table for someone else (despite it being half empty inside). The mushroom starters were okay, although a little dry. The steaks were very nice and perfectly cooked (which is amazing as we weren't asked how we wanted them)..The chips however were overcooked to the point of being burnt. It could have done with a bit more garnish but there was a bucket load of garlic butter. We didn't have a pudding so were given the bill and left (all within an hour) Don't think we'll be rushing back which is a shame as it's a lovely pub and location..

Delightful Sunday Lunch! Stopped in today with the family for a spot of Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. Friendly staff, delicious food and wonderful views, what more could you ask for? Ordered at the bar and food was quickly served to the table with a smile and tasted delicious, fresh and hot. Everything was reasonably priced, including drinks and made for a lovely Sunday out with the family. Such a nice atmosphere and would definitely recommend to anyone!

I visited yesterday for drinks in the garden by the Thames, then lunch in the restaurant with my family. We all really enjoyed the whole experience and atmosphere. The range of beers and drinks was excellent and the lunch was very enjoyable all round. Was also there Friday evening early as there was a DJ in the garden, again very enjoyable. Would recommend. Dean our waiter was excellent, well done

I've decided to update my review on this pub. We came here for Sunday lunch as a group of 7 last week. The service was good despite being super busy. Drinks were served promptly. We had 4 Sunday roast 1 vegan. 2 pizzas and a seabass. The portions were fabulous, the only constructive criticism was that the roast potatoes were slightly undercooked. My sisters vegan meal was still frozen in places which was a real shame. BUT it was taken off the bill. Deserts were to die for...We would visit again for a Sunday roast. Definitely prefer the dining area to the bar experience, but that's just me. The service is quicker. Thank you for a great Sunday lunch.

Cristina took incredible care of us. She gave us lots of time and ensured we had all we needed. To be honest, we genuinely wouldn’t improve anything. From the lovely atmosphere to the large wine list, we’d definitely recommend.

Good food 🥘, good selection of real Ales plus the usual lagers and ciders. Food was served hot 🥵 and the service was excellent 👍. We had lunch on this occasion but previously have had great evening meals and service. Plenty of parking, disabled access and toilet. Has been consistently good value. 🎉

It's a hidden gem not far from Walton on Thames near the locks. The menu has such a good variety of dishes that it's never easy to decide what to have.

Nice environment, but the food is not that good... Big parking place. ------ Well , 5 years later, Covid and several things in between, after some more visits to this Pub I need to make an update regarding mainly the food quality : it went down from "not that good" to AWFUL. During this time I have been there several times only because I know the place is nice , enough space to park de car and the service is good enough to make me forget how bad the food usually is. But tonight (02/06/2023) I had the worst gastronomic experience in many months. Starting with the rubbery calamari, the sea bass, the aubergine and ending with a extremely hard to chew steak that had to be returned and replaced, everything was horrible. In the end I was told: "so sorry but as you know we are not a steak house!!...". I will return, but not for dinner, I will stick to a bear outside and some crisps.

Fantastic view, great vibe, brilliant service and great food … what more could you want? But yeah … don’t all go at once … I still want a free table! Hannah was fantastic. There honestly is no need to go anywhere else when there is such a gem locally. Cannot rate the place, food and service more highly … sometimes you just stumble across somewhere that blows all expectations … and this is one. Amazing work to the team!

Quite busy at lunchtimes, even on the Monday when we visited. Good food with fab views over the Thames. There is plenty of parking if you come by car, but also a small amount of mooring if you arrive from the river. Plenty of tables indoors and out, good table service outside.

An overall good pub with fairly good food really no complaints regarding food at all atmosphere little bit dark where I was sitting but from my experience it's worth sitting outside as that's pretty good

We had a lovely festive meal with some friends and thought our food was delicious, especially the steaks.Cooked pink, full of flavour, the gravy that came with it was divine.Kids also loved their meals, they had seabass with chips instead of potatoes. The pub itself is cosy and this was the 4th time I ate there, each time the food was beautiful and the service friendly.

Thames Court is set by the river and it's beautiful and so is the pub. It's warm and friendly and clean and the staff are very nice. I had the vegan burger and chips and it was very tasty but my friends weren't too impressed with the roast beef lunch they had, meat was okay but the roast potatoes were not good, they were hard, like they had been sitting around for a while and reheated. The deserts were delicious and we had a good time. Love this place and go when I can. I personally have never had a bad meal there and the menu is very good, I only like my mum's and sister in law's roast dinner so never order it wherever I go.

New year's Eve, Basic and atmospheric- less Such a pretty pub, our lady serving was experienced and lovely. Food however very basic, not great at all. NY eve, no atmosphere, big gaps in music. Very disappointing and bonreal effort made by management to make it special and feel good. Just over all a waste of money. Will not go back to eat😭

Food was nice, location of the pub is really good. Staff were attentive and helpful. The only downside for me in particular was that we had pre-ordered our food from the festive menu, and on arrival they informed me that there was not going to be a apple pie for the dessert as they had no been able to obtain any, which was disappointing as I always look forward to having an apple pie for dessert when it's on the menu.

Food and service both excellent. Very helpful to wheelchair users, happy to move chairs etc (without making us feel like we are inconveniencing them etc) Cosy log fires in winter and lovely outdoor eating area overlooking the River in the summer.

Location/view are superb. Our lunch sandwiches were very disappointing, as were the children's sausages. Beer (Session IPA) was very good and the kids ice cream and chocolate brownies were wolfed down. No salt and pepper on the tables (it was needed for the meal!); Vegetable sticks ordered for the child meal looked as if they had been plated up at least a day before, so too the mash potato for the other kids meal. The brisket sandwich was bland, dry and presented on over-toasted bread. Looking at other food on offer the next time I visit, if we do, I will try the pizza as those did look appetising.

The views from this pub are unreal. A gem of a place and always love coming here for a couple of pints in the sun. We ordered food and that was tasty as well. Will definitely return.

I went here with some family on Saturday 2nd July 4 adults and 2 children. We chose from the lunch menu. I had the pear and blue cheese pizza it was gorgeous. There was a lot of choice on the menu and the kids had pizza too which they love. I had the brownie for dessert. The waitress was very friendly and great with boys too. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back

Lovely spot, on a great day beautiful to sit outside and see River Thames. Sunday lunch as equidistant between Herts / Sussex. Staff service was a bit hit and miss depending on who served you/you spoke to. Despite having answered the question about allergies the starter came out different to that advised so it had to go back to be re-done : waiting staff helpful but their quip, whilst we found jokey, subsequently demonstrated their ineffectiveness for another 2 requests - we ended up asking other staff, who did it immediately/timely. Three meals - fish, Sunday roast (turkey) and plant based. All OK. Disappointed the side salad (in lieu of chips) AND burger identical (lettuce onion tomato - cucumber on salad) so didn't eat salad! Raw onions too many!. Reasonable prices. Orderly at bar and staff friendly.

Nice pub and nice setting. Had the pepperoni pizza. Whilst it was one of the TASTIEST pizzas I have had in a long time, I dont think the toppings were worth the price! An extra £1.50 for chicken on top - no problem - but when there is only this much (photo) as "extra", I think its a little bit tight...

Me and my partner had a three course meal and every course was absolutely amazing. The starters were so so delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection for both of us (my partner had medium rare, I had medium). The puddings were also amazing. Couldn't fault the food at all and wouldn't change a thing. Absolutely perfect. Service was also amazing
