Super attentive staff, great food, and great service, especially for it being such a hot and busy day at the beach. The tomatoes on the burrata were delicious and the burger was cooked perfectly. The side salad was also huge for €4! Definitely recommend for a meal on the beach.

It's a cute restaurant by the sea, staff is friendly but wait times around lunch can be long.

I've been here yesterday, during a very windy and rainy evening and this place looked so cozy and christmasy. The perfect place with sea view! I only had a tea so I don't know how's the rest of the menu, but the venue in winter is amazing

The service at de Haven is quick, attentive and very friendly - the perfect welcome for hungry travellers. We sat in the sun and enjoyed some Aperol Spritz and the lentil-coconut soup. It was delicious! One star is missing as a couple of more vegetarian dishes would be fantastic.

pretty nice view, but that is where it ended for us. ginger ale and apple juice were of the lowest quality, a brand change is advised. my kids eat very little but even for them the kids pasta was just that- too little and it almost had no taste, the pasta itself was long past "al dente". my salad was served with a spoon (?!), drowned in the cheapest (probably bottled) dressing, the (iceberg lettuce) leaves were partially brown and it was topped with a cooled boiled egg. the staff was friendly and decently organized but it's a bitter taste to waste your money on a warm summer evening like that.

Very good to have something to drink or eat from the huge list while watching the north sea, the beach, the seagulls, the tourists. Staff is friendy and always looks for their guests. I like to be here.

Very old-fashioned and old city. Not much has changed since 30/40 years. Great beach though.

The halibut in lobster sauce was delicious. The views were… dark. We were looking forward to sitting by the window and watching the surf while we chilled and drank a few glasses of wine with a nice meal. Here’s the thing… we took our time leaving Haarlem, we dilly dallied, we strolled, we stopped for drinks along the way. It was lovely. We didn’t really think about the sun going down and making the sea disappear into a foreboding black void. The darkness outside was in stark contrast to the bright lights inside the restaurant. So we sat looking into the eternity within our own eyes and enjoyed the meal surrounded by reflections of the interior of the restaurant. We definitely can’t fault the restaurant for our lack of planning and forethought. We enjoyed it and imagine you might as well. Make a reservation for a table by the window before sundown and I bet you won’t be disappointed. Order the halibut in lobster sauce with a nice glass of wine and relax. That thing you’ve been worrying about isn’t as a big a deal as you think. All will be good.

We paid 9 euros for a very small bottle of still water and 2 paper cups of the worst "hot chocolate" we ever had. I say "hot chocolate" because there was nothing "hot" or "chocolate" about it; imagine you take the cheapest baggie of chocolate dust which is supposed to be 1x portion, make it 5x portions, add hot water, forget it somewhere for 5-10 minutes and then serve it lukewarm with some cream on the top - this is exactly how it tasted. I understand it was a busy Sunday afternoon at the beach, and I normally wouldn't write such a review but our drinks were not just disappointing - they were terrible. I don't mind paying 9 euros for 2 drinks (NL is an expensive country after all) but I expect them to be decent, or at least to drink them from glassware and not from paper cups.

Nice and friendly employees. Spent a dinner with family. Kids had time to play outside while we were having some drinks and finally enjoying a sunny day! Had enough space to have dinner and from other customers.

One of the best beach restaurants in Zandvoort. The veggie burger was exceptional good - never had such a good one before. The entire staff was extremely friendly. I will definitely come back.

We enjoyed drinks and the sunset here. Didn’t eat. Service was a bit slow in the end, but it was closing time. Staff was really friendly and funny. Nice place to enjoy the sunset.

You can't go wrong with any of those beach cafes! This one is particularly good... just like the rest of them :)

👍 Amazing place, highly recommend it! You must experience this sunset while sitting on the terrace with some nice cold drinks. Pitty that they are not allowed to play music louder, but I do understand the reason!
