A place with a nice sunset view but hard to get a good angle. It’s a nice sunset view but it’s harder to get a good angle compared to staying at reed lookout. If you’re thinking about making the 1km walk for the sunset, it’s better if you stay at reed lookout. Aside from the sunset, you get a really nice view of the mountains.

From the car parking is called Reed lookout with beautiful mountain view already. And from there, a very short walk of 1 km return to the Balconies. Easy walk through with lots of views on the way to the end. Good photo spots as you walk through. Could be very hot on summer as not so shaded path so bring water and towel. Flat terrain good for wheel chair and pram. No need for hiking shoes. Come early as it’s difficult to find parking during school holidays.

Visited for sunset. Nice short walk from the parking lot. Good place for sunset and sunrise. Nice all around view from that location. The track is clean and easily accessible. The rock edge has been fenced for safety but does not affect the experience

Great view, easy access buts get busy during peak periods. Short trails easy for most. Limited parking and no toilets (or none that we could find).

One Km from the reed lookout. A nice bush walk area. Would be perfect to go on summer as the view was blocked by fog in winter.

Well worth stopping here to be rewarded with an amazing view of the escarpment. The walk from the car park is mostly flat, and you could easily take a stroller.

This lookout offers close up views of The Balconies, which are two rock ledges jutting out from the cliff. It's an easy level 1km walk from the Reed Lookout carpark, and also provides a clear view of Lake Wartook to the north along the way.

Great stop to add to your Grampians to do listm it's a beautiful view to admire the bouty of this part of the world. It's about a 20 minute drive from Hallas Gap with breathtaking views along the drive and 15 min walk from the car park. Nice walk and the lookout is worth it. 👌

Just like Reed lookout a beautiful view but still worth it to walk it.

A 40 minutes walk round trip for us as we’re a little unfit. It is a one km walk to the balconies from the car park. Really beautiful and breathtaking view of a sea of trees. Passed by many toilet bowl looking trees that made me very urgent. Come here if you have some time to spare.

Nice walk, not too strenuous. Great views.

Breathtaking views up here with short and easy hike. Averagely 30minstues for the round trip. We had children's from 2 to 6 years old and comfortable with this trail. Definately worth it.

Probably one of the easiest walks in the Grampians. It is fairly level for the 2km return trip from Reeds Lookout car park. The gravel path is clear and wide. The views are amazing in both directions. There are some interesting rock formations en route. It is no longer (not sure if it ever has been!) permissible to sit on the rocks at the Balconies as there are high fences blocking access. There are no public facilities at the car park, eg. toilets, water.

The 1 km walk from the car park is worth the view over the valley of bushland. Spectacular view. The rock formations are closed for climbing.

Super easy walk and we saw a lizard basking on the rocks. Views were spectacular. Could see Halls Gap from the lookout.

We were pretty much in a cloud and couldn’t see the “view” but it was still 100% worth it. The “jaws” of the rock faces are just breath taking. The fog only made these rock faces even more mystical looking and the photos don’t even do it justice. We went around 6pm when most people had left, it was quiet, and it’s a nice, easy-ish 2km return walk from the carpark.

👍👍 Great walk to the falls, good path and not to long, not sure of time but I'd say 20 to 30 minutes, at an easy pace. As you can see by the pictures, well worth visiting the falls. Highly recommended 👍
