Arguably the best views in all of The Grampians. It can be a real challenge to get up there, but it’s a great workout. Gets very cold up there with all the wind, so bring a jacket amongst your things. Also recommend wearing some sturdy boots with grip; I was wearing my comfy runners and was constantly mindful not to slip. Took us maybe an hour each way.

Reed lookout is absolutely picturesque! Very short walk from car park. You do see beautiful lake in the middle of hills on one side, and deep valley surrounded by hills on the other! Good point to stop over on the way to Mackenzie falls and spend some time appreciating the beauty!

This is an ideal place if you want to be with family for a sunset. Arrive at least 10 min before sunset to se how the colour of the sky changes as the sunsets over the mountains. The vistas over Victoria Valley and the mountains beyond are stunning. Please drive carefully after sunset, so many kangaroos crossing the roads.

Right near the carpark. No walking required. Huge 180d view and also a great view over Wartook Reservior on the other side of the carpark. Was a bit of haze in the distance when we were there so no the best photos.

As shared by many other visitors and local guides, this lookout is a great spot for families and friends or couples to catch the sunset at the Grampians. There is a carpark nearby the lookout so it’s really easy to find your way. Head to the fire tower to catch a nicer view of the sunset. Carpark is free too and there was plenty of space. Arrived about 15 mins before sunset. Nice view of the Grampians at sunset from up there.

Beautiful place to watch the sunset. Make sure you check sunset times before going. There are 3 places to watch it, but best place is up the long drive way.

I visited this lookout in the afternoon, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Although it's recommended to visit during sunrise for an even more stunning experience, the scenery was still impressive. It's a perfect spot for family outings or picnics, with something for everyone to enjoy.

Just across the car park is Reed Lookout. Heavily treed view towards Dunkeld. Walk along a well formed path to The Balconies. Prepared to be wowed. Fantastic views. Breathe deeply and enjoy.

Must do quick stop every time I'm in the Grampians, no brainer since it's always on the way to somewhere. Great sunset spot but tends to be a lot of people

Beautiful look out. You can also visit The balconies look out from here about 15min easy walk. Kids friendly.

Highly accessible compared to the balconies. If you can’t walk, just come to the reed lookout. Basically very similar views. Would recommend.

Its very calm place at the peak from where I enjoyed watching eagles flying above dense trees searching for their pray, dive and taking flights. Was a great fun during our trip to Grampians. I wish If I have had a binocular with me to see them closely

Two awesome viewing platforms at the car park, but the 15 min walk (each way) is well worth it for the sights along the way.

My buddy and I went there yesterday, 22nd April night, right after Ramadan, the moon was in a completely opposite direction, no moonlight, it was a peak time to see Lyrids meteor shower, got these incredible shots of Milky way Galaxy. The Galaxy was visible with naked eyes ;)

This lookout is very easily accessible to all. It is a few steps from the car park and provides expansive views across the Grampians. There are no facilities here, eg. toilets, water. To the right, there is an asphalt road up to the Reeds Fire Lookout. There is a barrier at the base to prevent cars from driving up. It is a fairly steep walk, but short, and the views are equally spectacular. There was a distance/destination dial at the summit indicating peaks, ranges, gaps. Worth the little extra exercise!

A great stop off on the way to our from McKenzies Falls. Spectacular views, enhanced while there by smoke from fuel reduction burns. Easy access for all abilities.

Another side of GNP and great forest await you with mutliple cliff mountain at the far side. Short drive from main road.

Panoramic view of Grampians just few steps as you come out of the car at the parking lot. Could be difficult to find parking during school holidays. This is also where the Balconies access but 1 km return from the car parking. Beautiful views on the way through to the balcony.

Great spot!! No toilets here, old tracks have been blocked and a rail in place at the edge. Spectacular views

A beautiful lookout, easy to get there, the carpark is very close from the panoramic scenery. If you walk in a opposite direction you can go to the pinnacle lookout that's more challenging, with slippery rocks. This lookout is perfect for a sunny day

πŸ‘πŸ‘ A place with a nice sunset view but hard to get a good angle. It’s a nice sunset view but it’s harder to get a good angle compared to staying at reed lookout. If you’re thinking about making the 1km walk for the sunset, it’s better if you stay at reed lookout. Aside from the sunset, you get a real...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Great walk to the falls, good path and not to long, not sure of time but I'd say 20 to 30 minutes, at an easy pace. As you can see by the pictures, well worth visiting the falls. Highly recommended πŸ‘
