My last dinner in Marrakech, and I picked the right spot! Sitting on the rooftop, enjoying the view of the square. Perfect spot to reflect on my trip, and enjoy some food. The staff was friendly, professional, and quick with service. The place was clean, decorated well, and the lighting provided a nice calming atmosphere to be able to relax while winding down from a busy day. The food was delicious, and they had coke! Every bite and sip was savored while I watched people bustle about below me. It was just a great place to end vacation on. Highly recommend to anybody going to the square. And I will definitely return on my next trip!

One of my favourite cafés and restaurants which is located right at the centre of Jemaa El Fna square. A clean spot with a panoramic view that covers a wide range of the busiest place in Marrakech. Drinks and food are exceptional with reasonable prices. Worth the experience.

I've only visited for ice cream and milk shakes but both times have been a great experience. Whether sitting on the terrace at the top or outside the front on the ground floor, there's so much people watching to do. I highly recommend the sundaes and the milkshakes. It was a little pricey compared to some of the other places found in the souks however the service was quick and friendly.

The food tasted well. The wait time during rush hour is a bit much but I understand that. 4 stars because the waiter just took my money without giving me change. It’s the customer who has to decide whether they tip or not, and how much…

Very good food with nice view if you choose terrace. Menu full of Moroccan dishes. Service is nice also.

Menu is clearly labeled which items are gluten free without having to ask. It's in french but it's understandable 'sans gluten'. Good views over the square and the tagines were great. On the pricey side but you get good service, if you want the real authentic experience then eat in the square.

Very good restaurant and incredibly friendly staff. We came supposedly before dinner time (around 5pm) and it was super busy. But an hour after there were almost no people. The food and cocktails were delicious, but the staff made this experience on a really top! We definitely recommend this place to enjoy your evening!

This place is AMAZINGLY perfect. I had the Camel & it was the most divine thing dish that I have tasted in a long time. It even had bone marrow bones in it 😍. Now I can say I've tried camel meat too and tanjia. The views were stunning at the top roopftop area overseeing the Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. The staff was so kind, friendly and nice too - service quite prompt & exceptional. I can't wait to go again & I'm a major foodie from NYC that generally never thinks it's worth to repeat visit anywhere 😂. See my pics and videos here of the food & Views. You'll love it. Warning: There is no alcohol & I wasn't sure where to get alcohol nearby. The food and mocktails were divinely delish though!

Very cozy and authentic restaurant with the view of Medina. This restaurant has the best fresh mint tea and it tastes amazing( we drink it without sugar or honey)We also ordered lamb tagine. It was my first time I friend tagine. It is cooked wit tones of spice, large prunes and figs. I could not even imagine that this is such an amazing combination of meat and dried fruits. We also ordered lamb kuskus. Frankly speaking, it was a little too blend and meat was chewy. Overall, it is a good place for lunch or even dinner.

Good location and food. But be aware of what you pay for. We were suggested a dish for 2 without checking its price before ordering it.

We had a traditionally remade confit lamb's shoulder. The meat was very tender and the spices were on point. They served it with couscous and vegetables, which were all very tasty. The entrees took a while, but were good, though a bit cold. Anyway, the flavour was good. Staff is very friendly and professional. Also very good with recommendations. Easy communication. Abdellatif was who helped us in our table. Probably one of the best places where you can eat with a view to Jemma-El-Fnaa.

Sat here early evening as the square changed over from day to evening activities. What a great location. You can either sit on the beautiful terraces or down in the bustle as we did. Really great service, refreshing, freshly made juices and brilliant value. A real highlight of our trip for the location, friendly staff and experience.

Great food and location. They have annuostairs with a great view of the plaza. We came on a Friday night, party of 6 and we're seated right away with no reservations. All the food was delicious, but I highly recommend getting their traditional 'crepe' and lentil dish, pictured below. Friendly welcoming staff.

Absolutely lovely cafe right in the centre of the main square. If you head up to the roof terrace it's lovely and cool with views overlooking the square and market. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was lovely! We tried all the starters and they were absolutely lush we also had mango and coconut icecream, just what was needed on a scorching day! Would definitely recommend giving this place a try

The waitress were very kind and caring with us. We had a nice time eating some food, cold beverages and ice-cream. The prices are ok but the only problem is that they add a night fee at the terrace (250 dirhams/person). But if you go before the night time they don't charge it. We have paid a total of 14€ at the evening.

We only had a few drinks at the rooftop terrace. The place provides really nice views over the busy square. However, despite the shading and fans it was too hot there and the service was rather slow. I think they have aircon on lower levels inside, but it was full when we came in. We paid by card.

Nice cafe with a romantic balcony that can overview the square. Desserts were ok, juices have natural ingredients without sugar, so can be tricky to someone. Ice cream was great, not recommending the date flavor though, taste like soap lol

Amazing breakfast in the heart of the square! Very tasty food, plenty of drink and only for 50 dirhams each. We ordered the crepes (unsure what called in arabic) and the Moroccon breakfast. Each came with the food, an orange juice and a hot drink of choice. The eggs with salted meat was delicious and perfect for savoury lovers. The crepes came with a choice of jam or marmalade. We were both left satisfied and ready for the day after this! Heartily recommended. Only advice is to sit indoors or away from the street to avoid people trying to sell you things.

The place is super beautiful, overlooking the plaza. It was packed, but the employees managed it well. The food was not the best we’ve had in Morocco, but still pretty good. Overall a nice place to have dinner in the center of Marrakech.

Very good experience at Zeitoun! The staff are very friendly, accommodating and efficient. The menu is translated and has images. Food is delicious! Dietary requirements can be catered for and has clear labelling on the menu. GLUTEN FREE items are available, and desserts can be made as a gluten free option. Even Got the chance to try camel! Must try!

Very nice view into Jamaa Lfna. We had only the sweet pastilla, wasn’t the best one I had missed a bit of taste. The service tho was amazing. People were very very nice taking us to the best spot once some clients left. Will keep this place in mind to try the food in there next time.

Lovely café overlooking the square with a relaxed vibe, non-alcoholic beverages and very good coffee. The waiter also broke a MAD100 note for me.

Of course this is a tourist magnet, but nonetheless the food is yummy (dinner and breakfast). The waiters are very friendly and the view on the square is great. Prices are quite good aswell for the quality and quantity you get!

A calm place in the middle of the Medina. Stopped for lunch and shared appetizers. All the food was very tasty. Service was fantastic: fast, friendly; great atmosphere. We ate upstairs, inside, chairs/tables were not the most comfortable, but good enough. My only complaint with the food was the lamb on the mixed grill, it was almost all fat; the chicken, sausage and potatoes on the plate were all excellent though. It’s located pretty much in the heart of the Medina, so convenient to get to.

Amazing views at sunset, you can see the whole Jema Fnaa market from up there. Personal were so nice and charming. Everything we tried was delicious, really well served and good price. They offer gluten free options and also vegetarian. Absolutely recommended.

Let's be honest, Jemaa Al Fna square is a square where everyone is looking for ways to get money out of you, the one with the snake, the drummers in the evening, the juice people... and that's why you hear a lot of stories about clubs and cafes that in the end tell you about various costs that you need pay without you knowing. Well, you can relax, in this place you can sit comfortably and calmly, order from the menu and pay for what you got. Something that goes without saying everywhere, but in the center of Marrakesh it should be noted. The restaurant is very beautiful with many handmade designed lamps in the ceiling. There are three floors with all facing the busy square. (The two floors above these are actually balconies facing Jama' Al Fna) What's more, at first we just wanted to drink, so they told us we couldn't sit on the first floor and directed us to the second floor. In the end we ordered some food, desserts and hot drinks. It was nice, nothing out of the ordinary, but very nice. There are the most tempting desserts. The prices are reasonable for such a touristic place. The view and the atmosphere are simply great. It's like being in a square but not in it. A lot of people, noise, drums and an atmosphere that doesn't go to sleep

Went in as a group of 6 and ordered 3 mains, but were told to leave as they required us to order 1 dish per person. That would have been fine if it was business policy (albeit a terrible business policy), except that they crammed 6 of us into a table of 2, and there were other table of 2s with 2 people that only ordered drinks. In essence, we would have taken up the same amount of space as others with more orders anyway. Talk about a terrible business and attitude. Oh, serving time is also terrible - was made to wait at least 20minutes before being told to leave when we wanted to order. Can't say anything about the food, but from what other reviewers mentioned, shouldn't have been anything special and is pricey. Look elsewhere!

One of my favorite dining experiences ever. Usually you want to stay clear of restaurants in tourist hotspots but this is an exception. The pastilla chevre and tanji chameau were spectacular. Packed with flavor and textures. Even the side potatoes were lovely. Note the restaurant does not serve alcohol.

Very awesome place where you can eat and drink on the terrace at 1st or 2nd floor with the amazing view of famous Marakech Market at ancient medina.

I have so much respect for the people working here. Saying this place was packed the entire evening on a weekday is an understatement and the people working there were flying around to keep up with everyone. The walnut / date smoothie, and lentil salad was really good. They had a bunch of vegetarian / vegan options. Also great views from the rooftop!

  • 3/5 Jirath V. 1 year ago on Google
Location is good, view from the top is good and food are also ok. However, expect a slow service. We came here a bit before peak hour but we still had to wait long. And we had to ask for our orders again and again. Well, if you have time and don't mind for waiting it is a good place to come.

Really good food. Crowded and buzzing atmosphere. A great place. We had to queue to get in and that turned a few people off. They turned around and found something else. We persevered and were richly rewarded. If you are in a seaside town in the UK and one of the fish and chip shops has a queue and the other don’t… you know that’s for a reason. That’s the case here too. It’s a but cramped and noisy but that suits Marrakesh somehow. The people were very nice and the food was amazing. Highly recommended.

What a great surprise, normally restaurants near the main landmarks are known to be touristy traps :) this is not the case!! Definitely a place to go if you are visiting Marrakech, the desserts are great and if you are in need of a good latte or fresh juice this is the place to go :) the views of the main square are amazing, we went at different times of the day and it was always great!

  • 4/5 Phoebe D. 1 year ago on Google
This restaurant is located in a strategic place right on the edge of the square. To be able to enjoy the sunset on the upper terrace you have to order meals/ dinner. To enjoy the sunset and have a drink, you can only sit in front of the restaurant. The terrace above is quite narrow, the chairs are old and many are wobbly and they don't have a highchair for babies/toddlers. The machine to pay by card had a problem so we had to wait a bit longer to complete the payment. However the service is friendly and good.

  • 5/5 Luke J. 2 years ago on Google
It's in a great location and has a lot of seats with a great view of the main square. But safe from the chaotic happenings in Jemaa El Fnaa. The goat tagine was very tasty. A very good price for the quality of service and food offered.

This restaurant is in the main square. It's a little expensive. The food is good and the portions are large. The rooftop view of the square is amazing. At night, the square lights up and looks wonderful from the rooftop. Service is good.

I love Zeitoun Café! Staff are super friendly and observant! I've been there on couple occasions, the food was absolutely delicious and the view is the best. To come back there many many times (hopefully!!)
