It
is
said
that
when
the
Prophet
(pbuh)
came
to
Havran
Village,
near
the
Muzeyrib
district
of
Damascus,
for
trade
purposes,
he
stepped
on
a
stone.
This
stone
is
then
taken
to
the
castle
named
Busra.

Kadem-i

in
the
tomb
of
Sultan
Abdulhamid

It
is
on
the
left
side
of
Mustafa's
sarcophagus,
and
it
is
inside
the
wall
above
the
sarcophagi
of
Prince
Murad
and
Emine
Sultan.
The
doors
of
the
place
where
Kadem-i
Şerif
is
located
were
built
without

inlay.
Grand
Vizier
Halil
Hamid
Pasha,
who
showed
great
respect
to
Muhammed
Ziyade
Efendi,
who
brought
Kadem-i
Şerif,
had
the
building
in
Samatya,
known
as
Kapıcıbaşı
Mansion,
expropriated.
Following
the
expropriation,
Kadem-i
Şerif
Lodge
was
built
in
1785.
With
his
last
foundation
charter
dated
February-March
1785,
Grand
Vizier
Halil
Hamid
Pasha
allocated
the
incomes
of
some
foundations
to
the
lodge
in
order
to
provide
income
to
the
Kadem-i
Şerif
Lodge.
On
this
occasion,
he
connected
the
Kadem-i
Şerif
Lodge
to
his
own
foundation,
the
Halil
Hamid
Pasha
Foundation.
During

Sultan

During
the
reign
of
Abdulhamid,
the
repair
of
the
Kadem-i
Şerif
Lodge
came
to
the
agenda
in
1892.
Thereupon,
a
large-scale
exploration
was
carried
out
in
the
lodge.
Kadem-i
Şerif
Lodge
was
examined
item
by
item
and
any
deficiencies
or
areas
in
need
of
repair
were
identified.
The
findings
were
prepared
as
a
discovery
notebook.
Following
the
preparations,
Kadem-i
Şerif
Lodge
underwent
extensive
repairs
and
renovations.
Although
Kadem-i
Şerif
Lodge
remained
idle
from
time
to
time
during
the
Republic
of
Turkey,
it
was
able
to
survive
until
today
by
undergoing
renovations
from
time
to
time
with
the
efforts
of
the
General
Directorate
of
Foundations.
The
burial
chamber
of
Kadem-i
Şerif
Lodge
has
two
parts
and
there
are
many
gravestones
inside.
Next
to
the
inscription
and
fountain
section
at
the
entrance
of
the
lodge,
you
can
reach
the
cemetery
with
a
stone-stepped
staircase.
In
the
first
graveyard
you
see
after
climbing
the
stairs,
there
are
the
tombstones
of
the
Kadem-i
Şerif
Lodge
sheikhs,
their
disciples,
and
the
residents
of
the
district.
The
tombstones
within
the
borders
of
the
lodge,
located
at
the
back,
were
brought
later.
