Hiking routes through a disused sand quarry, with camping areas, playgrounds & lookout points.

👍👍 Simply amazing walking through the forest. It has an area for mountain biking perfect for that people practice that sport. It is allowed dogs but always pay attention as other dogs are surround. Dress comfortable shoes and bring some bottle of water.

👍 Nice to take a little walk around. I have not been to the castle itself.

👍 4 stars because I couldn't see inside but the grounds, castle, old-fashioned tea house ... It's all so beautiful. Free walking and cycling on the property is free from sunrise to sunset. Located behind NS station Barneveld and a short distance from the (now) cozy and large center. Very modern .......

👍👍 Very cool location where I went as a photographer to photograph a wedding couple. Beautiful garden where we were taken to various places by golf cart. Great service and the photos turned out fantastic!

👍👍 The Lonely Oak (Lonely Oak) stands on the crown of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. A wonderful stopping place for young and old. Then walk in 10 minutes to the accessible, child-friendly and cozy restaurant Het Berghuis for a delicious pannekoek. NB the 4-season poster of the Lonely Oak is also available...

🫤 A few positives! The accomodation was amazing, tranquil, relaxing, and everything you would expect. Once all the faults were sorted it would have been a great holiday, but we only had 3 hrs to enjoy it. The negatives: can't check in until 1500 then reception closes at 1700. So if there are any issue...
