Such an interesting museum, staffed by enthusiastic & very knowledgeable volunteers.
Look out for the timeball rising & dropping on the hour. Curiously satisfying to watch.....

Deal Pier

👍 Long and narrow concrete pier. Not the nicest piers going but still offers unique views of the coastline. There is a restaurant at the end of the pier and a kiosk at the entrance.
The pier is a popular spot for fishermen who fish along both sides virtually the whole way along.
