This is a must visit place in Saudi Arabia. Well maintained tourist spot. There is a small museum explaining the story of civilization. The temperature inside the cave is much lesser than outside. Best time to visit the place is evening. You can see the lighting. There are trekking on Fridays it seems.

Excellent place to visit. Parking is ample with plenty of signs to show you where to go. The staff are very friendly with tourist shops inside the reception area. Price was 75 SAR per person which is reasonable. Inside is a short but very detailed history of the area and people of importance from the region. Some nice artefacts are on display. The cave area is amazing and extremely cool once inside. Take some water as you walk round as the walk to and from can be quite hot. Highly recommended.

The place is neat and clean. The cave has good lighting for better view of the inside. We came early so we could spend more time exploring the whole complex. But some areas were closed for access. It is worthy of a next visit, though. The staff were kind and helpful.

Visit to Al-Qarah was a nice experience. We loved it. There is an entrance fee of 50 riyal. They have a nice museum that can give you knowledge into the culture and events of the past. If you are someone who enjoys walking through the passages, who loves a good hike, then this place is for you. You can avail professional photography services here. Also, buy something to mark the trip like dates, handicrafts, etc.

Amazing attraction. Definitely a must see. It is at least a half day visit. The main attraction is the Qarah cave. It is a wonder of nature. Cold during the summer and warm during the winter. There are scheduled hikes and sometimes there are even hikes to the top of the cliffs. There are restaurants and cafés at the entrance. Inside the cave there is a professional photographer that will take amazing pictures and you can buy them at the studio on your way out where they can make portraits, fridge magnets, or other photo products for your photos.

The place is quite and nice, the formation of the caves are very pretty. The kids were little terrific because of the dark, however it was very normal. The price however doesn't justify what we had a look on. Even if you miss it, there wondering be any regrets.. but since it was something to look into hofuf we went for it.

There’s a mountain and there are caves. It is beautiful, and the place is well lit. Enter the areas further beyond the prescribed path at your own peril. Beware of its beauty and complexity if you decide to traverse further into the darkness of the cave.

The landforms are amazing! It's a beautiful result of weathering. The lighting at night makes the surrounding cozy. When you enter the cave, the air is cool, though the passages are narrow.

Nice place for every one. Natural formations of nature. Deserve to pay 50 SR + tax to go on. Not as big as I expected. But very exciting experience. The roads leading to the site need improvement. Parking available.

Closed due to Eid. Can anyone try to explain the logic of closing tourist destinations on a public holiday? Especially when trying to promote tourism. 2 hrs drive here and found the place closed 🥵

(Translated by Google) The place is beautiful and deserves a visit especially with the children and the atmosphere "Glory to God" changed from hot, humid to cold inside the cave It lacks instructions .... specially for entry and maintenance times, and it is nice for it to be specially announced for Google, and I hope that it will be updated, followed up, and taken into consideration by entry fees.

Is called "LAND OF CIVILIZATION" located in Al Ahsa city. Amazing place wonderful experience. A must visit place in KSA. UNESCO has declared this place as a old civilization and heritage site. The mountains are typically in cave shape. We entered inside the caves and saw many sculpture, paintings ancient writing on stones and remains of the past. Government has developed this area and given to maintained by a private agency to look after the daily affairs. Parking and other amenities are present on sites. Al Ahsa is a small and beautiful place. The weather is pleasant. The entry fee is 50 riyals per adult, Children below 13 are free.

The experience is very unique and memorable. The historical presentation of the place was very good and organized. The place is clean. There is resting place, restaurant, coffe shop, souvenir shop as well as mini grocery store for anything you need for the trip to Al Qarah. The entrance fee is SAR 50 and already includes 1 souvenir photo. In case you need additional photo you can also request. The quality of the photo printing and frame is also excellent.

We visited this place in summer time. Though the weather was hot outside but there was light cool breeze inside the caves. It is a good historical place to visit in the Kingdom. It has a small museum too. The place was clean and very well maintained. The price is SAR 50 for adult and kids have free entry. They offer group discount too.

One of the Natural Wonder of World Mountains ⛰ Range dated a long back Seperate entrance is there which is chargeable 50 SAR per person, the entrance and the area is maintained for easy access for the tourist . The whole mountain ⛰ is spread in a very vast area and you can enter from other parts also without any charge as of now. Caves are there providing thrill to the tourist and visitor's Washroom 🚻 available, parking available. Its a must visit Place in AlAhsa (Hofuf ) Region. Enjoy the wonder around you The most astonishing part is that it's a natural work of Nature Mountains are all dead and the rocks 🪨 looks like sand .

The place is crowded when we visit. But the experience is great. I got to see some of the collections and artefacts from the past thousand years and more. And the cave itself was a real attraction. God indeed is great. I got to feel that ancient vibe in this place. They have cafetieres inside and souvenir shops too. Tickets are available at the reception. We paid 57riyals/person.

My review of Al Qarah Mountain is that while the ticket price was quite high, the caves were impressive and there were a few antique items on display. Overall, I would say that the experience was average. While the caves were definitely the highlight of the visit, the high cost of admission made it difficult to justify the expense. However, if you're a fan of cave exploration or enjoy seeing antique artifacts, it might be worth checking out despite the price.

The Mountain as it is called locally is fantastic. The road to the facility takes you through large stretches of the date farms, via the aqueduct and that by itself is already interesting. There was much money spent on infrastructure here. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. The cool temperature inside the cave was refreshing and the ambiance created through creative lighting was almost surreal. The cave is spectacular, and you can walk through it without a guide. There is a professional photographer on site. The creative décor was designed to complement the natural rocks, is aesthetically pleasing with attention to detail and the whole facility is maintained exceptionally well. The history exhibit was very interesting. I would however have liked to hear more about the history of the cave itself, the rock composition etc. Lots of parking outside and the whole area is wheelchair friendly with ramps. There are shops and a coffee shop on site. The mirror corridor is great fun! The GPS takes you to the back side of the facility, but you can just drive around to the entrance. The cost was 115 Riyal for 2 adults. The ice cream stand unfortunately was very expensive and geared towards the tourist market. We went early on a Saturday morning and there were very few visitors at that time, which we prefer. I would, however, want to return to view the cave at night as well. We had trouble paying with a Visa card, so make sure you have cash on hand. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and would recommend this as compulsory when you visit Al-Asha.

It's very hot outside. And it is very cold inside the mountain. The heart is filled. You have to buy a ticket to go inside. But I didn't like their system. You have to go in groups. If you go alone or less than 10 people, it costs 57 Rials per person and if you go in a group of more than 10 people, you have to buy a ticket at 35 Rials per person.

Hofuf is definitely one of the best places to visit in the Al Hasa Region. The ticket on this tourist sestination was 50 Saudi Riyals which I think definitely worth it. Tickets can be booked during on your arrival. In the entrance, is this globe where the logo of the Museum, Land of Civilization, is designed intended for picture-taking. Inside the museum, is an art exhibit filled with archaeological pieces such as statues, scriptures, ancient local materials, woven textiles, and hand crafted sculptures from the local people of the of the place. The museum then leads to the iconic formations outside the museum, Al Qarah Mountains. The rock formations are breath-taking. You can roam around inside and outside and take a lot of awesome-looking photos. Once you explored all the places outside, you can then go back to the museum to buy souvenirs such as mugs, ref magnets, figurines, clothes and more. I’ll definitely recommend to check this place out when it happens you visit the Al Hasa region.

My recent visit to Judas Cave in Al Hassa was a truly unique and unforgettable experience. The cave was breathtakingly beautiful with its intricate rock formations and stalactites. The guided tour provided extensive information about the history and geology of the cave, adding a deeper appreciation for its natural beauty. Overall, it was a fascinating and enjoyable visit that I would highly recommend to anyone interested in exploring the wonders of nature.

It was my first time to visit the place. Glad that we arrived early so the line for the ticket was not long. We enjoyed the place. We shared good laugh there because of various pose we did. The cave was divided into three areas. The first part was where we were introduced to the history of Saudi Arabia. We were able to receive souvenirs there. The second area showed artifacts about Saudi and the third part was the cave. The cave was cold inside and there were areas inside where there was no signal. It's a good place to visit. Outside, there's various vendors and restaurants for souvenirs and food. You can dine in or eat there.

Al Qarah Mountain (a.k.a. Judas Cave) It was fourteen years ago when I first visited the Judas Cave in Al Hofuf, one of the major cities in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia. At that time the city was undeveloped, road infrastructure going to the Al Qarah mountain was not yet started. I remember there were lots of dates trees around the area and the roads are sandy and hollow. Yesterday, I was able to visit again the popular go-to place nowadays in Saudi Arabia. I went there with my group of friends and with my friend's friends. We left early morning on a Friday at 5 am and traveled around 3-hours from Riyadh. It was a good bet to arrive at the place as early as possible to avoid the crowds so you'll be able to take pictures and videos without picture spoilers. The not-so-good about coming in the morning is that the sun is freaking out, and you'll feel the heat right to your skin. So, don't forget to use sunscreens. There's an entrance fee of 50 riyals per person. Don't forget to get photographed inside the cave because one wooden laminated photo is for free. Well, that's literally included in the entrance fee😉 The photo is so nice you better get yourself one. Overall, it was a great experience, especially if you're burned out from work and would like to get away from the hustle and bustle of Riyadh. I highly recommend visiting it at least once.

  • 5/5 Anjela De T. 1 year ago on Google
The place is beautiful. It is worth going to for 50SAR for entrance fee and you get to go to the museum then into the caves. But a lesser entrance fee would be better. There are restaurants before you go to the main are which is good after going through the whole place.

The place has a beautiful rock formations and scenery, it was also known as Judas Cave. The place is not hot when you come inside of the cave. The cave was huge and also good for pictorial purposes. Theres a lot of people visiting the area maybe because we came on the weekend. We enjoy our visit in the area. The ticket price is not that expensive and highly recommended. Its also good to learn the story about the history and visit the place. The place was also properly preserved and clean.

It is very hot in this place, but when you enter the mountain, it is cool inside and there are different colored lights. It is crowded and it is hard to find parking. There is also a museum here before you head to the main highlight, which is the mountain. It is beautiful and your payment of 75 Riyals will not be wasted because it is unlimited inside. Once you leave, it is finished hahaha.

The Land of Civilization ( Jabal Al Qara.) in Al Ahsa, which is in Eastern region of Saudi Arabia. It is a mountain count as one of the most important and beautiful natural sights, it is also registered in the UNESCO world heritage center's list. If you are going there in summer season much protect yourself from dehydration, carry your water bottle with you and try to protect your face and skin from sun. We visited on 23rd April 2023 and the atmospheric temp was 39 °C

Overall experience was good except for foods and drinks. The trip would be meaningful if tour guide was available.

I have been to this place couple of times before, but this was my first time traveling with my family. In the past, you could enter for free. But now there is a fee. Most importantly, i have no issues of fee but it should feel that it is worth paying. Here is my feedback, I entered at 5pm, but it was already dark. There have been a few changes in the structure, but it's not bad because it's easy for visitors to navigate. I will not go into the history of this place. however, it has the shape of caves, and it looks great. I recommend visiting this place at least once in your lifetime. Ticket Price Adults - 50sr + Vat = 57.50sr Ticket Price Kids - 10sr + Vat = 10.15sr
