Waited an hour and a half to see the special baby clinic team today for special needs babies. Dr. Jennifer, the Neonatologist, had terrible bedside manner and stripped down my baby without asking for permission after I asked if the OT checked her hips for the hip dysplasia (they were recommending I get an ultrasound for) . She did not tell me clothing removal was necessary to check nor inform me of what the procedure looked like before starting. She just walked over from the corner of the room she had been standing in the whole time the OT was assessing my baby, and (honestly what felt like she really didn't want to be there or be bothered with hands on work) stripped her down undid her diaper and began what look like forceful pushing on my infants legs trying to "make them pop or click". I was frankly horrified. This is my second negative experience at CTH. I wish I had stopped her and advocated for my child. I assumed the check would just be a gentle touch assessment through the clothes like the rest of the assessment had been at the appointment thus far. Even our general Pediatrician asks for permission if clothing removal is necessary and tells us what she is going to do Before hand. It all Happened so fast and we were so exhausted and had two more kids to get home to, so we just gathered all the information we could from the appointment and then left as soon as possible. The terrible medical care and lack of humanity from the doctors in New Mexico truly saddens me. We won't be going back if it an be avoided....find somewhere else.

I had called to see about the possibility of rescheduling an appointment. I was given the new date, which I texted to my spouse, it wasn't even 1 minute of time, we decided to stay with the original date. The woman in the phone must if thought I hung up and started to complain about it to a coworker. I was still on the line, I told her this and she hung up on me. I'm sorry I made you do your job. I had to wait five mins while she looked up the next available date. If your going to start talking bad about people make sure they are no longer on the line. What kind of ungrateful people do you have answering the phone at this hospital? If they don't like that they have actual work to do, they should just live off the government.

The therapy department doesn’t have any consideration for patients. I checked in 17 minutes after my appointment at 11:00 am considering they give an extra 15 minutes to be late. I talked to the person in charge of that department explaining my reason of being late and they told me that they couldn’t take me in. I have to drive an hour to get to my appointment, the gas prices are very high right now. They gave me no consideration whatsoever. It’s the only department at UNM hospitals that I have had trouble with.

My 5 year daughter broke her ankle Friday night. Saturday morning we were in a presbyterian urgent care where they took x-rays and referred us to Carrie Tingley. I called Monday morning and got an appointment for Tuesday afternoon. The staff was so caring and efficient. The doctor took the time to explain the brake to to me, while two others were casting my daughters ankle. There was a fourth doctor whose sole purpose was to talk and play with my daughter and explain to her what was happening in terms a 5 year old would understand. They were able to turn something that could have been terrifying for my daughter into something fun.

My son had an appointment at 9:30am when they called to confirm they were very specific about being on time if not we would be charged a fee and they would have to cancel us out, we made it 10 min early to my son's appointment and we waited over an hour to be taken back and then the nurse said dr. Williams was falling behind and they weren't sure how long it would be to get seen.

My 12 year old daughter had severe scoliosis. Her curve was at 97 degrees. I met with Dr Bennett and he was wonderful. He felt just as bad as we did about having to tell us she needed Spinal Fusion Surgery. He and his staff explained everything so that my daughter (who is developmentally delayed) could understand what was happening. Once we had the surgery they gave us updates throughout the surgery. Once it was done he personally came out to talk with my husband and I and sent us pictures of her x-rays from his personal phone. Personally checked in every day she was in the hospital. Staff was great at the hospital. Very understanding. I am so grateful that I was able to find them.

No available providers for months for 9 month old child who needs immunizations and well visits. Ridiculous, horrible hospital.

Made my 2 month old wait almost 2 and a half hrs before the doctor even saw her. Went in for the appointment at 2:35. It’s now 5:07 and we’re barley leaving and the hospital was empty. Ridiculous to me. No curtesy call didn’t let us know they were running behind.

Staff was incredibly friendly over the phone and during check in. It was really nice to find a place that didn't feel like they were trying to just rush through an appointment. Dr. took time to listen, examine and to explain options. Extremely impressed with our experience!

The female staff was amazing and sweet! But the doctor that I waited 5 months to see for an appointment for my daughter couldn't call me to tell me he couldn't see the unltrasound images because we are from SJ and full on asked me if she had this or that and what severity it was. Ummm that's why I'm here... Complete waste of time and the fact that they didn't even look at imagining to see what is wrong with my daughter rubbed me in the wrong way and it took a lot for me to bite my tongue. Never again Carrie Tingley never again. Kids deserve better and a more caring team.

My son has been a patient of the Ortho Clinic for well over a year. First with Dr. Kallur, who amazed us with his true concern..(he ensured to do my sons Corrective surgery with Dr.Druxberry, before he dr kallur moved and left his patients in the more than capable hands of Dr.D (I'm sure I messed up his name).. And we have been just as impressed with Dr.D. All of the staff at Carrie Tingley and the child's surgery and recovery unit were complete angels! First everyone gave us hope that my son could have a normal life, and they became our angels. We could never express our Appreciation and love for this amazing people that had their hands in caring for my son. Especially during the hectic time adjusting to CoVid and them all ensuring our health (mental and physical) well being and being so compassionate when we were in such need of their care. They changed our lives and have done it all with a caring kind empathic environment of efficient dedicated staff that acted like every patient were their only patient!

Nice facility. But Dr Mercer does not care about the situation with her patients. The physical therapist and the attending resident cared more and has concerns about my daughter way more than she did. Then when it comes to calling the scheduling number the lady that answers is beyond rude!! I may go back if it's any other doctor but I will only schedule if I talk to the actual clinic.

They shouldn't be calling on days that their office is close. I have a whole voice mail saying call back and an appointment was never made, so call back to schedule it. I call back just for the office to be closed and the number they called from is not in service. when I have it logged and called multiple times in months advance to confirm there was an appointment for pediatric neurology they have said yes theres one and have had the date to tell me when but now it's just cancelled. It's very important and for it to just disappear from the system is upsetting.

Been here twice with the worst experiences ever. Staff is so rude and condescending and unhelpful. I would pay extra to go anywhere else in Albuquerque!! If you get Chasity on the phone to make an appointment, good luck, she's the rudest person I've ever dealt with.

I have tried to schedule with Carrie Tingley important checkups and as always the call gets dropped and they don't call back...which is unlikely

👍👍 Hope that you may never need to visit Hospital/ER but if you do; go here they'll take care of you. 12/17/2021 The staff that took my BP/vitals was UNEMPATHIC as it relates to the reason(s) I was there. 😠 This is the 4th time I’ve posted this review, let’s see if they delete it again. I am appalled at what I witnessed in this emergency room the morning of October 18th. 🫤 The staff was excellent. However the public areas of the facility are dark, run down, and dirty. The main lobby is painted dark colors with shoddy repairs to the drywall. 🫤 We brought my 80yr old grandma in due to pain in her hip and her not being able to walk. She ended up being admitted to a room in the E.R. and stayed over night. 😠 HORRIBLE!! I was visiting from out of town. I arrived at the ER at 10pm. The check-in process is completed in front of EVERYONE and the whole waiting room will know your SSN. They’re quick to draw blood and get your vitals, but that’s it! No DR, PA, LPN or RN sees you! People who where having chest...
