My
mother
went
in
for
a
minimally
invasive
procedure.
The
surgeon
was
great
and
answered
all
our
questions.
Pre-op
nurses
provided
excellent
care.
However,
upon
moving
my
mother
upstairs
to
a
room
overnight
for
observation
proved
to
be
the
most
horrible
experience.
The
daytime
nurse,
whose
patient
load
is
4,
did
not
come
into
the
room
until
well
after
12
noon.
Her
reason
being
is
she
is
charting.
Physical
therapy
to
help
mom
walk,
questions
for
the
doctor,
and
any
other
needs
were
all
answered
with,
"I'll
get
to
you
when
I
can.
Ask
me
your
questions
and
I'll
answer
them.
I'm
gonna
do
her
walking
myself."
Finally,
we
had
to
get
a
charge
nurse
to
express
our
concerns.
The
main
reason
being,
"oh,
this
nurse
is
just
like
that."
Why
you
keep
stubborn
nurses
employed
is
beyond
me?
Also,
I
would
rather
have
the
medical
doctors
answering
my
questions
and
not
a
nurse!
All-in-all,
what
started
out
great
soon
turned
awful.
Oh,
and
let
me
mention
that
the
same
nurse
left
the
computer
unlocked
in
my
mothers
room
-
can
we
say
HIPAA
violation,
and
I
could
see
every
patient
on
the
floor,
left
her
badge
in
our
room,
and
then
lied
to
our
family.
