    I am trying to cancel my membership with Defined Fitness. I have been with them for about 25 years total. I have been a very loyal member. Now I am being told I have a contract that I must pay to get out of. Why was this not explained to me when your annual enrollment fee went into effect? In doing some investigating, I find out about their don't ask don't tell training that is taught to their employees. This is an unethical way to run a business. I am very disappointed in this company and advise all not to commit to defined.

    The corporate office does not provide managers with automony to order NEW machines. The Bosque location is full of safety hazards such as loose equipment, missing weight labels, broken & delipated machines, stair machines constanlty cutting off, torn fabric. They would rather pay a third party to try and repair older machines verses buying new equipment. There's absolutely NO REASON why all the gyms should not be reflective of the Juan Tabo & Rio Rancho gyms. I will be contacting the proper officials to perform a risk management assessment on the Bosque gym. Maybe if they receive safety violations they will improve this gym

    I had signed up and paid for a year in late December 2019. Used and enjoyed the gym for 3 months. Then came Covid. I requested in writing (email) that they freeze my account, as I was instructed to do. Fast forward to 2022 when I feel safe enough to return to Defined. Go to Juan Tabo to see about restarting my membership. Am told they can’t do that because my account is in collections. Say what?! Only Corporate collections department can help me. Called and got ahold of Bianca. She was helpful! Cancelled the charges, but said she needed me to send her the email where I requested a freeze before she could do anything more. I did that within 10 minutes of hanging up. At that point Bianca must have taken a train to Never Never Land because I never, never could reach her again. Many phone calls, emails, visits to Juan Tabo and to Corporate. Corporate has a note on the door that essentially says “go away.” Tried calling from different phones thinking maybe she recognized my number and wasn’t picking up. No way to leave a voicemail. And I was told by other Defined employees that only Bianca could help me. I wasn’t even asking for the full 9 months. Four or 5 months would have made me happy. Now I am very unhappy. Zero customer service. Will never set foot in a Defined Fitness again. Gone. Have discovered Albuquerque Multigenerational facilities with much the same equipment and some of the same classes. Costs $20…per year!

    First would like to point out they've changed the Google name so people will stop being able to locate their corporate office or leave bad reviews. The McCloud location is dirty and run down and hasn't been updated for years. Staff doesn't do anything but stand around the desk all day. Apparently it takes 6 student aged employees to scan you in one at a time. Who I presume was the owner was there today and didn't take time to talk to a single customer or walk the property to see tvs that don't work, cameras from the 70s, machines that are probably leftovers from planet Fitness, and grime. Only positive thing is the location which is why we signed up. Hoping CHUZE opens up closer to this area to put DF out of business.

    I worked for defined for only a couple months. I got charged from my paycheck a cpr class I never took and was not scheduled to take the cpr class and now they said they can't refund my money that I worked for that was not there's to take if I never took a class. Working for this company is a joke. They play favorites and are definitely rude and push for training when you don't get paid enough to even sell let alone make calls to people for 11.50 an hour... when I can be a csr and get paid 15$ an hour more. It's un comfortable to work in the environment they create as it's just toxic. Ridiculous. Poor management.

    They are trying to access me fees saying I didn’t pay on time when I showed them charges taken on my account due on time. The staff is nice and friendly but State their “hands are tied.” Literally robbing people of money. I pay my dues and workout and leave. How hard is that concept. Going to report to the BBB & other regulatory agencies.

    They keep charging for a membership I froze and refuse to refund me. They really very un professional and dont care for their customers. They should appreciate us because there are so many gyms out thier and we chose to attend define. I will not reccomend to anyone this gym anyone more. So unprofeeaional and all they do is take your money and just say "i am sorry" like if that s gona take care of the problem. And keep sayin well i will call corporate and they always find some excuse to not refund your money back. Excuses excuses. I dont like them and dont recommend anyone this gym.

    They act like they care until you're a member then they're done. They don't how much the group fitness is in the way, takes over or inconveniences everyone else. They take up half the pool for 10 people, stand in the way of walking in from the front desk, and leave the doors to the cycling studio wide open due to an HVAC issue (instead of cancelling the class until the HVAC can be fixed). So we all have to listen to them yelling at the class and deal with the smell, for the 5 people in the cycling studio. Inconveniencing all your members for 5 people is absurd. Complaining to the group fitness manager does nothing as he assume his way is right. Corporate doesn't bother to respond to complaints when you call and leave messages so don't bother. They only care about getting new members, and not the existing member experience. At least it's not dripping all over inside when it rains anymore.

    At first our experience was very nice, but after signing up my husband and I have been double charged multiple times. Every time we go to our gym (the Juan Tabo location) there is never a manager there to help us. We have gone at different times and different days but there is never a manager there. We have also tried to contact the “corporate office” and we have never been able to reach the person that should be helping us with this problem. The price of the gym is outrageous and should not be as much as it is especially when it offers the same equipment and amenities as other gyms. Overall they are very unprofessional and management and corporate are very rude and not helpful at all. I would not recommend going to Defined Fitness, you would have better luck anywhere else!

    The customer/Client service is a joke. I don't suggest this gym. Update: Looks like Ms. Darlene is finally out of there. Yay! The gym is dirty as hell. They closed the Locker Rooms at 6:20pm when the gym doesn't close until 7pm. This is UNSANITARY. Planet Fitness where are you?

    I’m trying to call corporate as the gym told me to and no one can be reached. I’m a current member and if they don’t get it together, I’m going to cancel both my memberships. update: I still have not been able to reach anyone - I had to cancel my memberships If you are looking to join Defined Fitness, be aware that the people at the club can’t help you with billing inquiries, they don’t follow up with you when they say they are going to, and the corporate office is unreachable which makes it difficult to get a resolution If you think you’re going to go to the corporate office in person to get a resolution, that won’t work. Their door is locked, there is a sign that says to call and no one answers and there there is not an option to leave a voicemail It’s completely ridiculous and they’re playing everyone a fool

    Pool and Sauna need to be well maintained this year they have been broken a lot and it seems the maintenance it is not complying with regulations , this morning pool was open for class , we need information when it is closed so we wont waste time in going.

    Good luck cancelling a membership. The club doesn't answer the phone, corporate office never answers the phone at any of the extensions, every voicemail box in the phone tree is full, the email contact form goes unanswered. I had to kill the payment card associated with my account to stop charges.
