Great selection of banzai, house plants, and succulents. The shopkeeper was super helpful providing suggestions based on what I was looking for. She took the time to explain care of the tree and also mentioned that they will be doing banzai workshops in the future. This is the type of experience that reminds you why going into a shop is so much better than buying online!

If you you are a plant lovers or just wanna try something anti-mainstream in Amsterdam like I did, I really recommend you to give this terrarium workshop a shot! It was like a meditation for me (and yeah probably it was really meditative activity), since I got engrossed that I lost track of time creating my own terrarium. For one session of workshop roughly last around 2.5hr, it was considerably affordable (45€). The lady who taught the workshop was very sweet and patient. The place was walkable from the centraal station. The best thing about this experience was it brought me into a state of genuine joy. And! I got to bring the terrarium home!

If you love plants you should visit Avalon in Amsterdam! The lovely owner was so friendly. The shop is gorgeous. She really takes great care of her plants and her Bonsai is gorgeous!

My favorite local plant shop!! the nicest collection of bonsai’s and plants. A large variety of common plant but also a lot of rare plants that you don’t see too often in plant shops. 100% recommended this place!

We attended the terrarium workshop and had a really lovely evening. Very pleased with the result. The session was run by the shop owners and they were great! We could choose from an expansive range of plants to build our terrarium and we left with lots of good tips on how to care for it on the long term. Thank you!

Avalon is a most amazing store. I ordered online twice. The collection is amazing with an assortment of plants that are different from the big stores. The plants and accessories are packed with so much care. About every detail is thought. In the email confirming the shipment great care instructions are included. The owner is very friendly and they are very responsive to emails. I highly recommend buying something here.

Had a visit there on my holidays is honestly one of the most amazing shops I have ever stepped foot had my eye on it for bonsai trees before wenleft and purchased one that day and they shipped it to Ireland for me in 4 days at a really good price tree arrived safe and in the condition I bought it in will definitely be using them again there selection of plants and displays is incredible and the staff member that helped us was very friendly and gave us very good advice thank you all at Avalon.
