I have just had my third stay in this hotel among the many other Ibis I have visited around the world. Clean, comfortable, simple, friendly staff, decent breakfasts as always. This chain has never disappointed me.

Little to say about the rooms. Service with a smile goes a long way. Cleaners do bare minimum. Otherwise good value for money and close to bus stop for bus number 22. Note bus numbers change at night. You will pay a LOT for hotel parking if driving a rental car. Public parking is free within certain times over the weekend. Find out at the reception. I enjoyed my showers. I like the work/meeting space downstairs by the bar/reception. A good place to hangout if tired of staying in your tiny room

Really good hotel, near the public transport system, so you can go very comfortable into the inner city. If you prefer to take a walk instead, there are some good routes, starting next to the hotel. The breakfast is also great. They have a good variety of different food.

The best aspect of ibis Amsterdam West is the staff, without a doubt. They were all so helpful, kind, and accommodating. They mailed my postcards for me, provided bandages when I needed them, hailed a taxi and called me when it arrived, provided extra towels, and handled other requests so professionally and with patience and a smile. The location is very near a metro station in a quiet part of town. The minimalist rooms aren't my thing but the rooms were clean and just fine otherwise.

A clean bright budget hotel with modular wardrobes and pod style bathrooms. Staff are very friendly at the front desk and food is available from 18:00. Watch out for Google directions to nearby Sloterdijk Train Station as it takes you on a winding path instead of the straight road to the right of the hotel. It adds another 7 minutes to the 10 minute walk. A bus stop into town is available right across the road with 24 hour tickets available for bus, tram, metro and train.

Really really enjoyed the stay. Everyone was super friendly, everything went super fast and we even got to store our luggage after checking out. Room was comfy and great. There's a burger King in the same building so that's great. And there's a metro station like 5 minutes away which you can use to travel which is super helpful. Definitely would recommend for that price.

Overall my stay was okay. My room was fine. It would be a little bit nicer if the room had a small fridge, or at least added ice machines, & some buckets for them. I also didn’t appreciate that I could not control the temperature, especially for sleeping (I like it to be cooler). But I was most disappointed by the service from the guy working at the front counter. I was told by my driver (from the airport) to purchase my transportation tickets at the reception. However, when I asked to buy a bus ticket, the guy basically just told me to buy my ticket on the bus (using my credit card). WHY DIDN’T HE JUST HELP ME? Days later when checking out, I finally noticed the sign behind the counter that they even offered discounted bus/transportation tickets. So I’m really not sure why the guy at reception did not mention this, & he acted like they didn’t sell them there. If you work at a hotel, then it is your job is to help the guests, & try to provide them with all reasonable requests.

I just loved the "modular" bathroom, you had the feeling you were on a ship. The hotel is in a nice neighbourhood, very well contented with public transport (there are bus stops and metro stations nearby, all going to the city center or to the Sloterdijk station). Oh, and there is also Burger King right next to the hotel.

Great choice for a 3 star hotel, very nice food court. Modern. Front of it a bus station lead to city center, behind it a metro station. No activity around the hotel. If you don't reserve a room with breakfast your will have to pay 17 euros every day.

Very good! Super delicious breakfast. The rooms are not big but modern and clean. Recommended!

The hotel is located 10 min walking from train station Sloterdijk. So it has a good connection to Amsterdam city centre and Schiphol Airport. Rooms are nice and clean. The bathroom made me think like those of cruise ships. Compact and efficient. The bar/restaurant is nice and the food is surprisingly better then I expected. So all in all a good place to stay at.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The Position is good, not too far from Amsterdam Central Station 14 min by bus. The bus stops just opposite the hotel. From the location 5 stars. The reception, very friendly, courteous and also responds to requests. The bar also has a lot to offer. The bed in the room is rock hard, I had bad back pain from the bed. Therefore only 3 stars. If this were changed I would give it 5/5 stars.

Brilliant hotel. Good location (right by bus stop for line 22 to central station) and very close to metro and trams. Rooms are great, the bathrooms are a bit small but super clean and functional. Restaurant and bar is fantastic and well price. The breakfast buffet is super with more then the usual options in an EU hotel. Highlights mot recommend this hotel.

The Rooms were nice and clean, although i would have liked to have a toilet brush in the bathroom. The people there were really nice and helpful. The location unfortunately isn't the greatest if you want to enjoy the evening and night life of amsterdam. The last bus from Amsterdam central station to the Hotel goes at around 0:30 each night so if you miss it you will need a taxi to get back to your room.

Amazing hotel. Friendly staff, BRILLIANT location. Rooms are a bit dirty but that is to be expected. Amazing for its price. Breakfast was incredible. Extremely close to the city but quiet during the night.

All the personnel including Hilal the manager are very helpful and friendly. We stayed for 3 nights for an exhibit, and the room was comfortable. Moreover the location is on the way to airport so it is rather easy to find a cab compared to other locations.

We stayed at this hotel for about 20 days and really had a great time. The location of the room is a bit far from the city, but it is very easy to get to by bus or subway, and above all, the staff are so kind and nice. Especially thanks to the male staff 'mir', I was able to spend a pleasant and happy time in the hotel lounge: Thank you again. We leave behind good memories. Best Amsterdam for me ☺️☺️

Huge thanks to the Ibis team: Enny, Marko, Colin and the team of receptionist. They made the Adam Bachata Festival group of over 200 people really enjoy their stay. Looking forward to our next stay in 2024!

I really liked this ibis, i always choose the Accor All chain, but the receptionist on our arrival was a bit rude, but all in all we liked the location (very close to the metro) and the rooms were clean.

Rooms were ok. They recommended us a laundry company and it was ok until they sent us the income. They are not transparent with the costs and then you just have to pay. It was the most expensive laundry ever. Toilets smell bad.

A little too far from tourists attraction but it’s easy to locate once u get out of the station. Abt 10 mins walk to the hotel. There is a bus station just opp. So it’s quite convenient. N there is no eateries at all. Just a Burger King restaurant next door.

the service was friendly and understanding. we used the Booking.ee platform to book the room. at the beginning, when paying for the room, there was an error in the calculation of the overnight stay tax. But when I pointed it out, it fixed it nicely and there were no more questions. the bed was very comfortable, the room was pleasantly quiet. the breakfast place was a bit cramped, but nothing bad. it was especially good that the last stop of the subway was very close and it was very convenient to go to the city center and back.

Please avoid. Small and uncomfortable rooms, RUDEST reception staff ever in Europe, very basic spread for breakfast. Few of the staffs are horrible with behaviour , they don’t seem even pleasant when you step in. Not welcoming at all. No basic requirements in the rooms like coffee or kettle. Not worth the money one spends.

My wife and I had a nice stay here at this Ibis hotel. The location is not convenient to Central Amsterdam, but it's only about 15 to 20 minutes by trains. There is a station down the street from the hotel. It's a fairly short walk. Otherwise, you can walk to the Sloterdijk station. The rooms were nice for a basic travelers hotel. The room was very quiet and clean. We did have to ask for extra pillows and towels. The towels were kind of cheap and very rough. Not soft at all. We had breakfast included and it was a standard hotel fare. The food was of good quality and freshly made. The staff was excellent! Everyone was very helpful and cheerful.

I was living at your hotel with a girl from May 13 to 16. Firstly, your staff is completely unprepared. they do not know any standards and norms. they don't know how to accommodate a person. when asked to sell something from the bar or call from the bar, they are rude. the worst thing was that the cleaning lady knocked on the door just once and immediately entered the room and did not even apologize! that's horrible! 170€ per night but your room should cost 50€! cleaning quality is terrible! in the shower, someone else's hair was not removed for all 3 days of our life there. There is no tea, coffee or sugar in the rooms! in London in a hotel for £ 27 you have absolutely everything, and for you for 170 € per day it is worse than in a hostel in Syria, where you also have employees who do not know English. If you order food, you can wait 20 minutes for sandwiches !!!!! the smell of fire in the hallway .. just some sandwiches! that's horrible. we are Ukrainians and we came to Amsterdam just to relax, and the attitude and service is disgusting. I will write about your terrible place on all sites

The hotel is located near a bus station, which makes it very easy to get to. The food they sell, despite not having too much variety, is very tasty and the treatment of their employees both in the morning and in the afternoon is excellent. If it's raining and you don't want to go out you can have a good time at the bar

The location is a bit far from the city centre but it is no issue with a bus and train stations nearby. It will take about 20 minutes to the city old town. In exchange, the room is spacious with large windows and big bathroom space (compare to a very tiny room downtown).

Gf and I loved it here. I have been to other ibis hotels that had preferable decor but this one is in a great location it has a burger king attached to it. it does close early though by about 7pm. But the location in terms of distance to the city is great about 15 euro in an Uber or you can catch the number 22 bus into town. Will likely come back here when I next return to the Netherlands will recommend to friends and family

Overall, quiet hotel in a slightly industrial area. Not an issue. Short walk to metro . Room was a good size and bed was massive. Would have liked to have been told about WiFi password etc.

Very nice hotel. Good connection with the bus into the city and very nice hotel personal. I forgot my headphones in my room and they send me back to germany for free. Very nice service. We will come back to Ibis West.

Great location with good bus and train transport links into Centraal Station. Adequate breakfast but pricey! €15 but it is a buffet style breakfast. My main issue is, we were there for 3 night and we didn’t have our room cleaned once in the days we stayed. We were out all day, we had to track down a cleaner just to get some clean towels and another pillow. Plus they have a drinks section. However, they make up their own prices for the drinks/crisps, etc…. 1 day a Pepsi is €3.5 and another day they are €4.40 Overall, I would stay again but would take off the breakfast and get drinks whilst out and not at the hotel.

Its an ideal location for me when I stay over, more than once. I don't like the pace of the city centre but the staff are mostly attentive and helpful. Bus stops right outside the venue all the way from central, number 22. This last visit in May, there appeared to be a lot of new staff, the room on the 9th floor smelled funny and they said they hadn't recieved any confirmation of my booking. I think they stuck us in this room due to them not finding our booking. The plug holes stank and the bed did too. We have booked another trip for later this year and sadly won't be returning to the IBIS. The breakfast is good and filling and worth it as it sets you up for the day. Metro and train also very near by.

No kettle in the room but they were exceptionally clean. Shouted at to clear up your own table after eating, similarly to a fast food restaurant. When you're paying upwards of 30EUR for a meal, this isn't how it should be. Waited a long time at the bar, had to shout staff over to get served. It could be that the culture is different where I'm from but that's not normal here.

The hotel was pretty good! Clean and friendly. The only things that were not comfortable: the bathroom was too small and unpractical… the breakfast was so expensive for a very basic options

I don't like the location, but it was my fault, I choose the wrong Ibis hotel. Anyway, 15 minutes to airport by car, so not that bad. I definitely like the service - you are incredible 🖤

Very clean hotel! Wi-Fi excellent! The location is 10 mins away with bus to the Amsterdam center , the bus station is 1 min away from the hot. I ask for some suprise about my wife's birthday and they made the room with balloons everywhere , happy birthday sign at the window, kandys, drinks and gift card! Thank you Ibis!

The room was nice and clean, I like the design ☺️ it also had iron with ironing board which was very convenient. Breakfast was good. It's quiet and stuff is friendly and helpful.

The bus stop right across the road gets you right into town. Definitely recommend to fellow tourists who plan to explore Amsterdam. My only concern has to be that my room had no fridge & microwave. I could however use the microwave available in the lobby.

  • 2/5 Dr. Julie R. 11 months ago on Google
We unknowingly visited Amsterdam during the King's holiday. The room was literally less than basic for €250 per night. 😳 Twin beds, no fridge or microwave, no AC, and we are still not sure what that bathroom was. The best part about this whole stay was breakfast! Never again.
