We have spent a couple of nights in this hotel. We asked for a single double bed but we have been given two beds. Moreover they didn't refill the hand soap of our bathroom even if we asked for it. Anyway it is clean, comfortable and the breakfast is wonderful. Consider that the car park costs 30 euros each day. The position is perfect if you want to go to arena and the metro is only 5 minutes walk. The bike rental is very comfortable too

To begin with, this hotel will be the most economical hotel to stay in Amsterdam. If you're OK to use the Metro to get to City Centre (approx 30minutes) and maybe spare a 10 minute walk to the Metro station then would definitely recommend this hotel. The location, the amenities and the service were all spot on. They have parking services as well but I'm not sure if it's chargeable or no. The breakfast was not bad too. The rooms are quite tight but make sure to book the higher floor rooms with a view cos it'll definitely be worth it in the night time. All in all, good value for money.

We stayed at Holiday Inn for a week. The hotel space and the inside of the rooms are clean and tidy, but we had a very bitter experience with the insincere and irresponsible treatment of the hotel reception. We arrived in Amsterdam from Paris on the day that all the Amsterdam trains were canceled the night before and we were 18 hours at the train station and lost our way. When we arrived, we were quite hot and tired. But the reception didn't hand over the room to us because we didn't have the 70 euro city tax fee on the credit card, and they didn't even accept cash. They threatened to cancel our room and we have to leave the hotel! While we had paid the entire cost of the stay and were willing to pay the tax in cash, they announced that they would only accept the amount by credit card. The reception manager Alisha very coldly and irresponsibly rejected us and did not give us a friendly welcome until we had to ask one of our friends to deposit the amount into the hotel account. The cost of our stay was more than 1000 Euros, which was already paid, but the reception for 70 dollars kept us in the lobby for an hour after a difficult 18-hour journey and refused to give us a room. It was really sad. I will never choose this hotel again.

Exceptional receptionist Fati very warm welcomes you. Very helpful. Nice location , very close to Arena and station of metro/train. Very rich, yummy breakfast . Pancakes are definitely delicious. Rooms are large, quiet but have some problems of finishing . (I think hotel needs a good technicians staff. By the way, if I go again to Amsterdam it would be my preference this friendly hotel.

This hotel is so far away! It takes a while to reach central Amsterdam. No decent restaurants around, just a couple of fast foods and a supermarket. Rooms are really quite basic. Bed is good enough. Breakfast sub standard, no cooked eggs, just hard boiled eggs and a lot of pastries. I don’t recommend it unless you are attending an event at the arena.

The hotel is very quiet and in a good location. 5 min walk to the nearest metro station and then 30min to the center. Also 5min walk to Johann Cruyff arena, several restaurants, supermarket, and cinema multiplex. We booked a double bed, but they only had twin beds available, and requested us to push them together. Under the beds they could improve vacuuming, as the carpet was full of dust and some crumbs. The room is large enough for 2 people and bags for a couple of days. There was no mini-fridge nor safety box though, that could be improved as well. The TV remote was missing, and there was no way to turn it on. The bathroom was clean, and they have shower gel and shampoo available in 500ml containers. Water pressure in the shower is very weak. The a/c seemed to not be working, as pressing the buttons on the remote had no effect to ventilation, but the temperature was comfortable. Car parking costs 25 eur per night. Breakfast selection was good and there's also a self-service convenience shop next to the reception, but with very expensive items. The staff was nice and polite.

Very nice place, I had a blast at breakfast as it was rich in diversity. A very clean room with a kettle for a nice tea when needed and a very comfy bed. Close to subway and train station as they are in the same place (5 minute walk). You get to the city center in 30 minutes if you go by subway which is very nice. The zone is clean and quite as there are many office buildings around.

I could deduct one star if I wanted to nitpick on some minor things about the hotel that could be improved, but the 5 stars go to the entire staff at the hotel. Everyone we interacted with was totally focused on good customer service, and were courteous, cheerful and friendly. But the rock stars of the group were the guys running the bar & restaurant, Dylan and Raschid. They were the highlight of our six day stay. Hard working and customer focused, their magnetic personalities will make the Arena Towers one of the go to destinations in the area. I also have to mention Clarita and her crew for the daily breakfast. Another shining example of this all star staff. Many thanks to all of you for adding that something extra to our stay.

We stayed here for 3D/2N. Aside from the delay in check in, we loved our room (just that the small ref wasn’t working properly). Bed and linens were really comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. Except for the 2nd day breakfast when the (not sure if it was the manager at the breakfast area) raised her boys and started asking who the parents pf the two kids going around the dining area (yes they were our and sure they should not be running around) but for her to raise her voice and called most diners attention like we’ve done a crime „whose kids are those!?“ I mean she could have been more discreet about it. Other than that, those helping out during breakfast were nice and attentive as well as those in the front desk and entrance door.

I had bed bugs in my room which eventually I have now at my home, and it is a real struggle to get tid off, not to mention that I am all bitten around my body... Very poor higiene of the rooms. If noone contacts me and at least refund my stay I will make sure that every person that I know will be informed of that and never visit that hotel. Also I will add my feedback in Booking and other hotel booking platforms.... This is not acceptable

I stayed here recently for a work trip for the week and all I can say is a 10/10 for every department. Reception - The reception team were very warm and friendly and helpful all the times. And they helped me practice my Dutch 🇳🇱 and no matter what questions you have they where always happy to assist F&B - The team at breakfast where always friendly and the team in the restaurant where also amazing a special thanks to the Romanian 🇷🇴 waitresses with long black hair in a ponytail and glasses she made our evenings and always was extremely helpful (sorry can’t remember her name) Housekeeping - The rooms were spotless and clean 10/10 I could not find fault. The room attendants were always smiling when I seen them in the morning or coming back during the day and everyday my room was cleaned and looked amazing. Even when I wanted some more tea and powder milk they here happy to give me a nice supply for my British habit of tea drinking. Overall the hotel is great for the location and for what we needed it for. The transport links are easy with a metro and main station. And the airport is only 15 mins on the train so quick and easy and to head to other cities the train connections are good with train just under an hour travel time, and Amsterdam Central around 20 mins away Highly recommend this hotel.

They gave us what probably was the worst room in the entire hotel. A double bed room with view to the stairway of the hotel (with those super strong lights on the entire day and light) and on top of the skyscraper in front. We could see everyone who was moving in the stairs of the hotel and in the building in front (or on top of us) and they could see us, but we couldn't see the sky or even the street outside. The windows didn't open. It was very very claustrophobic. When we politely asked to change rooms they said they were fully booked and didn't give us any other option. We went on their website and on booking and they had plenty of availablity for those nights. The room itself was clean, but the common areas of the hotel were damaged and very dirty. There was dust and marks on the walls everywhere. The toilet paper was very low quality. The breakfast was a simple continental breakfast, medium quality, not a lot of choice. The juices were very very fake and tasted bad. There were some boiled eggs and when I asked if I could order some scrambled eggs, the waitress laughed at my face, very rudely, and said a round "NO" - "We don't do that here". In terms of location, it is around 15-20min from Amsterdam old town, by direct metro. There are some restaurant choices around.

Located in a nice location near the stadium, food and shopping. Rooms are a good size and quality. Staff are super friendly. Only issue was the parking was expensive and the room didn't have a refrigerator despite the description saying it did. My poor leftovers 😞

we had a very comfortable stay. the staff members from the restaurant during breakfast were so pleasant and accommodating. Clarita & the rest of the staff were so kind and went out of their way to assist us when we had our early morning tour. they willingly allowed us to pack our breakfast. the breakfast choices were satisfactory. thank you so much for the kindness...

Staff was very friendly and helpful, restaurant and breakfast were great and good quality. The only problem I have with this hotel are the noise levels and some room complaints. I was on the 13th floor (view was great) and we could hear people shower, plugging in devices in the sockets, toilets being used etc. Some people were in general very loud in the hallway after a night of drinking. If you're a light sleeper I suggest bringing earplugs. We found bedbugs in the bathroom and on the windowsill, bed was clean though. The toilet also isn't great at flushing.

I had a great experience at this hotel for several reasons. Firstly, the hotel is situated in a fantastic location, which made it convenient for both business and leisure travelers. The central and accessible location enhanced the overall stay. Moreover, the staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly. Their warm and welcoming attitude made the experience even more enjoyable. They were always ready to assist with any questions or requests, contributing to a positive and hospitable atmosphere. In terms of amenities, the hotel had everything one might need, whether visiting for business or leisure. The availability of these amenities added convenience and comfort to the stay, ensuring that guests had a seamless experience. One of the standout features was the room itself. The rooms were surprisingly spacious, providing ample room to relax and unwind. This added a sense of comfort and freedom, making the stay even more pleasant. Overall, my stay at this hotel was truly enjoyable. The great location, friendly staff, well-equipped amenities, and spacious rooms made it a memorable and comfortable experience. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others looking for a positive and convenient accommodation option.

Standard business room, it has everything you need. Also an ironing board (which is appreciated, but not a must have). Would have preferred some more hang space. The reception is friendly and good. Cleaning was lacking. Beds halve made, bathroom not really cleaned, small small stuff. Weird, cause my usual holiday inn express experience is a lot better

Great hotel. Nice room. Not too big but cozy. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Location is great, close to Arena. Parking is 29€. Restaurant is not bad too. A bit pricey for the food quality. But staff is super friendly.

I dont really like to stay in chain company hotels but..I must say this one has a perfect location, I had 10 minutes walk to station, arena, parties in town, supermarket or even coffee shop ✨💯 clean rooms, breakfast included. We had a lovely stay, will consider to go back again.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Amsterdam for a city break weekend. The location was great, metro, train and bus station was a 5 minute walk from the hotel. There were many restaurants and shops around the hotel also. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel had two Starbucks, a 24/7 mini market, restaurant and bar. The food and drink was a bit expensive but overall we had a lovely stay at this hotel. Would definitely recommend for families, couples and friends. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent place to stay in Amsterdam. Great rooms, good facilities, food was superb and staff were really fantastic. Easy access via rail and Metro to Amsterdam Central within 20 min. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Overall a pleasant experience. Everything was nice except the fact that there was not a closet in the room. The staff was very helpful and professional, especially Dylan (in the restaurant) with whom we had a great conversation and a service that was top notch!

Good hotel, room was a little less than clean but equipped with everything you need for a few days. Breakfast buffet is great, wide selection of options to choose from. Overall a great place to stay for a trip in Amsterdam if you can't afford the city centre.

The welcoming is poorly. Stressed staff. Platinum Card member booked 3 rooms, For our traveling party, they had the reservation, but where not able to give us a room, because they insisted on a mail from him, even while he was in a Meeting. I ended up booking the room, they charged double the price. No flexibility from the front desk, then I had to go back to get refund, as they found out that the booking was done. No apologies from their side. The double room is very small, the kingside bed is 1.50 wide. The bathroom smells like vinegar. Directly next door there is a big building side, starting 7.30 am. You can’t open the windows, even then it was loud. This worksite will go on for another 9 month minimum. Oh, and don’t you dare eat the pizza, that is an insult. It looks like the staff isn’t very happy to work there. Maybe poor Managment… Holiday Inn had their best times. Don’t ask me, where they get the 4 stars from…

Stayed during the Madonna concert. Prices were extremely high for this type of room (180 euro night) so therefore can’t give more than 3 stars for this room, since this money gives you only a very basic room with small bed. However further not many complains, very quiet room, and also very delicious breakfast. Minus I found that when checking in, no service in Dutch wss available

We were very unhappy and disappointed with our 2 night stay. The hotel controls the heating levels in the rooms so the remote control thing is useless. We spent the first night absolutely freezing. The mattress was very basic and uncomfortable. When we complained, we were offered an additional heater and a mattress topper and they didnt provide this, so we had to complain a second time in the evening before we went to sleep after waiting for them. We never got a mattress topper but managed to get a heater and the additional duvet i asked for.

The location is a bit away from the center - 10 metro stations from Central Station (cca 18 min drive with Metro). You can reach the metro from hotel in 6-7 min walking. Still this is definitely not a dealbreaker as the hotel has its perks. Albert Heijn grocery store is at the metro station. Hotel is quite big, so it can get a bit crowded at the breakfast in the morning - recommend you to take it early. Room was OK, bed a little bit uncomfortable - felt like it needs a change. Staff is super friendly and helpful no matter when do you need them. They also granted me an early check-in and if you become their member, you can also get a late check out if available. There is also s small grocery store inside the hotel in the same level as reception. And it’s self service so available 24/7. Around the hotel is a lot of parking lots available. Wide selection of food at the breakfast. Overall the hotel needs an improvement I would say, but definitely a good place to stay for a few nights.

  • 4/5 Gilbert O. 1 year ago on Google
Modern and clean with comfortable beds and pillows and a/c to guarantee a good night's sleep. Room a little bit small, to be honest, but adequate. Bathroom and shower excellent. Parking expensive at EUR 25 per night Main reason for a reduced rating was the failure to give a double bed which was booked online. Of course they were ready with the contractual excuses but no real effort to rectify, such as have housekeeping push 2 beds together and make a double

Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express usually have seperate receptions. For some reason, Holiday Inn Express reception was closed. Despite paying extra and expecting some extra service, it took me ONE HOUR to get into my room. The line was huge and the reception staff was taking their sweet time. They were in no rush at all. I stayed their five nights and my room was NOT cleaned ONCE. There does not seem to be any cleaning staff around. Besides breakfast, every food and drink outlet in the hotel is closed "because of Covid". You can't even get a cup of coffee. Nothing. Comepletely bizar. Parking on the hotel parking lot costs 25 euro per night! Ridiculous, should be free for hotel guests. Staff is helpful when asked (slow but ok), but doesn't even greet you when you enter and exit. Unless you ask for attention, you won't get any. For the money, there are better places to stay. Room is ok, carpet is filthy. If you must, don't pay extra, just go the Express route, since the extra money will buy you nothing. But better to avoid this hotel all together.

Hotel rooms are clean. They offer bed, table, hangers, chair, iron and ironing table. In the bathroom there is a big shower. If you forgot any product (female hygiene, shampoo, anything), they will be kind to provide it. Staff is very helpful with every request that you have. For breakfast, there is a room on 1st floor, where you have variety of different food. Hard boiled eggs, 5 different types of salami, cheese, 5 different kinds of bread, peanut butter, jam, salads, coffee and tea, milk and cereal. There are also some options for diet food. You are 5min from Bijlmer station, where you can hop on metro to get anywhere in the city or use a bus.

Won't be coming back here. Terrible service from beginning to end. 1. You have to pay €25 PER NIGHT parking, on top of the room rate. This charge is made by the hotel. 2. You have to collect a breakfast timeslot card. The cards are timed for half an hour from 0700 AM to 1000 AM. The cards are a first come, first serve basis. 3. Tried to get breakfast sent up to the room but was told, no room service. 4. The temperature in the room won't drop below 22°C. Can't set the temperature below 18°C. 5. The windows cannot be opened. 6. With 17 floors and two of the fours lifts not working, getting to the lobby every morning took ages. The lift stopped at almost every floor. All in all a very poor stay. Expected better from Holiday Inn.

Well located near the arena and a 25min train ride into central Amsterdam. We had asked for additional requirements before travelling and were assured this would be catered for. On arriving, nothing was in place and staff were unable to locate the items.

  • 4/5 Carlos C. 2 years ago on Google
Good cost/quality relation. People in reception, always very efficient and trying to help. Breakfast acceptable, although some quality cheese and ham would be expected, not the squared ones that they supply. Room cleaning done in a rushed way, with bins not emptied, and some shampoo freebie forgotten in the middle of the room by the cleaner. Yet, a pleasant stay and as said, if you need anything, just go to reception... They will help!

We arrived here quite late, with two little children after a long anxious day of flight cancellations and disappointments, finally we are in Amsterdam, we booked in holiday inn last minute, we weren’t really looking for something more than somewhere to sleep at the night and then we’ll venture in the city tomorrow morning, looking for another hotel. Let me tell you this, we have wished we booked all our stay in Amsterdam here at the holiday inn! The staff are amazing very kind and very accommodating, rooms are good size, clean, everything you want and more. Special shout out to Miguel at the reception desk, he’s made our night, and made sure we have a good room to accommodate the 4 of us. Thank you Miguel, thank holiday inn Looking forward to stay here again in the near future.

Nice enough Hotel. Price is a bit high and so was the parking fee(25€) a day. If you are here to see Ajax football club, the location is superb. If you want to go Amsterdam center, you will have to endure 30 minutes in the metro. If you have the budget for it, I would recommend you stay at the regular Holiday Inn instead of the the express.

  • 4/5 Julia De G. 2 years ago on Google
The staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom was large and clean (the shower had a nice water pressure). Our whole room was clean when we arrived. The pillows were too big for me to sleep, but nice as a backpillow when reading. There was no impressive view from our room, but that wasn't a must for us. Sadly the windows couldn't open, but you have access to airconditioning and you can set the temperature in your room. The all-you-can-eat-breakfast was delicious, a large variety of bread, cereals, fruit, eggs, water (both cold and room temperature), apple- and orange juice, hot cocoa, tea, coffee and sweet pastries. The hotel was very easily accessible by train and public transport. The hotel also offers rental-bikes per day. There's a massive shopping area nearby, which has a lot of local shops.

  • 4/5 Raphaël VAN D. 9 months ago on Google
The hotel premises are nice and comfortable. So are the rooms: cosy, clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly. The hotel location is a real asset close to public transports, the city center & leisure arena's.

Well, I'm going to start for the not as good. We got an executive room for the whole family, which was very big and spacious. However the cleaning was a bit wrong. As the photos show, the sheet was ripped, glasses in the toilet were very dirty, same as the tissues dispenser that was empty also, and in general the cleaning wasn't good enough. The good part is that the hotel is well located near the Amsterdam Arena Stadium, 20min away from city center taking the metro that is 3min walking away. Also the staff reaction after our complaint was good when we were leaving, offering us their apologies and some water bottles for our trip back. The breakfast is nice, with a good buffet. There is a very nice gym area, and the parking is extremely big with lots of space. In short good experience, but IMHO some mistakes that a 4 star hotel can not allow.

  • 3/5 Gunnar B. 1 year ago on Google
Its clean and okay, but for the money we spend I would expect at least a cupboard to put my stuff in. The rooms are very simple...but clean. The breakfast buffet is without any specials and based on a minimum of effort. The Coffee taste cheap and bad and beside three kinds of cold cuts you get two kinds of cheese. It offers what it has to offer but not more, so I will not keep it in good memory.

  • 5/5 Yolumuzun . 1 year ago on Google
It was a very spacious hotel. We found the buffet breakfast adequate. Fresh fruits were very nice. Rooms were clean. There was an iron in the room. You can request and get the shaving foam and yarn set from the reception. You cannot reach the center on foot, but you can reach Dam Square in 20 minutes by metro.

Predictable holiday inn experience. This property is more basic as compared to other holiday inn properties and i have always believed it as being similar to other holiday inn express properties. This property is indeed next to a holiday inn express property. Having stayed in both, there is a difference in rooms as well as service and this one is indeed more premium than the neighbouring holiday inn express. The place is conveniently located close to the train station. The hotel is a short walk away. The place is close to lots of sources of entertainment, food and a decent market. Being near the station means that it is easy to get to the Amsterdam Dam area. It's a stort train ride but the quality and size of rooms here is much better. The staff is friendly and everything works! I have stayed in this property a few times and i would strongly recommend.

Excellent staff, beautiful rooms. But they have amazing gluten-free food. They are careful with good allergies which is always appreciated. It’s a 5 minute walk to the train station and a 10 minute train ride to central Amsterdam.

  • 2/5 Richard D. 1 year ago on Google
Rooms are clean, but not spacious. Toilet doesn't stop flushing (cleaning does not do anything about it) Booked for two nights, room key was only activated for one day. Cleaning of the room is only done after 16.30 hours (so during my presence in the room). Next time I'll choose another hotel.

  • 5/5 Dominika G. 1 year ago on Google
For a shorter stay definitely recommended. Room was nice, comfortable and the hotel is quite close to metro/train. When we came we were able to check in earlier because they already had the room ready, the staff was very nice and helpful (informed us about everything and answered all our questions), they even notified me about some discounts that I didn’t know I could use. Breakfast was good with sufficient amount of choices (even gluten-free options!). When it was more crowded, there was no noticeable shortage of food. And again, staff from kitchen was fast and efficient so the guests are comfortable. Also nice that you can keep your luggage there before & after you check out, which in Amsterdam I find very useful. 👍🏼

  • 3/5 Elise L. 9 months ago on Google
The room was decent and had just the bare minimum basics. Some other things, you can request from the front desk like room slippers, a comb, other toiletries you might need. Housekeeping services were mediocre, especially considering the room rate. I would arrive after business hours and see that housekeeping had “freshened” up my room, but the trash bin would still be full and used coffee mugs weren’t replaced. I was there for a couple of weeks for business so it wasn’t my own money, but if I were paying for this myself, I wouldn’t choose to stay here. It’s a pity because the location is great - very close to a train/bus station, restaurants and groceries. Front desk staff were polite and helpful, and that made things a bit more pleasant.

I really enjoyed the 6 night stay in the specific hotel. Everything was excellent from the clean room to the breakfast and the staff as well. I hope to have an opportunity to stay there again and again. Moreover the hotel is near the metro, bus, train station that adds an advantage for your stay. I really recommend an accommodation in the hotel. Congratulations to the hotel's administrators
