We had problems with our room and wanted to discuss this with the owner and she said - and i quote - "I am not gonna discuss this with you" then turned around and just left, leaving us standing there like unvalued little kids that would not be worth real consideration. CAN NOT RECOMMEND

Overall the hotel is fine. The staff was friendly and helpful. A few things I was not prepared for, the two flights of stairs up to our room. The second fight was difficult to climb. Also the beds were very lumpy. But the room was spacious and airy and very nice. Just be prepared that there is no elevator in this hotel.

A lovely place to stay. I have been 3 days with my girlfriend and we have a really good stay, the breaksfast was excellent and the room was large and comfy. Everything perfectly cleaned.

I want you (the woman, Iā€™m guessing the owner) to apologize for swearing and being unbelievably rude to me. Iā€™ve never witnessed such a rude hotel owner. I hope you never speak to another guest again the same way you spoke to me. If itā€™s a family run business for 30 years then maybe itā€™s about time you gave it to a family who are actually prepared to cater to tourists.

Pros: - Location. - Service. - Price. - Rooms have hairdryer and clothes steamer. Cons: - Sound insulation in room just doesnā€™t exist. You will hear everything what happens on the street. - There may be broken things in the room. In our case it was bathroom door knob.

Price is a quite high for what they offer. The room was not ready for the heat, there was a tiny fan and we couldnā€™t sleep. I wouldnā€™t book it again.

It is an old building and they are very clearly doing some renovating which it does need. I couldnā€™t find check in/check out times online anywhere (appears to be 2PM/12PM) and had to ask at the hotel to confirm. My inquiry via the website was never answered. It is expensive for what you get but thatā€™s just the city. The staff were very nice but didnā€™t seem to be super knowledgeable or experienced. Facilities are generally old, although the bed was good (it appears I was upgraded from a twin). Stairs are a bit steep. The area was decent with tram and metro options nearby.

WORST HOTEL IN AMSTERDAM, a Trap for your money and your pocket, better to sleep in car instead of this apartment, hotel is just a name ,the is nothing more than a roof ! When they got your money they will face you with their policy which is NOT written in their property policy ā€¦ NOT FRIENDLY staff, NO PLACE TO PARK , NOT clean, they are looking JUST to get your money !

The location is excellent. Not far from the center and the most famous streets and attractions. A hotel with a pleasant interior. We took a Twins room for three. Itā€™s a little noisy, you can hear the neighbors and the street, but when youā€™re around the city, it doesnā€™t interfere with sleep. In winter it was cool, it was blowing from the windows, but the blankets were warm and it was not stuffy to sleep. Therefore, only a plus) The beds are comfortable, the bed is clean, there are 3 towels for each person. But the pillows probably need to be changed, they are very bulky, I slept without them. There is shampoo and shower gel in large quantities. But donā€™t forget about toothpaste and a brush if you arrive) You have to ask for the room to be cleaned. The carpet is not entirely clean with stains, but this again does not interfere with the interior and the general atmosphere) If you are confused by the stairs to the second floor, it is better to take 2 small suitcases and there will be no problems) The room has a kettle and some tea and coffee, sugar for the first time. Nearby on the corner there is an excellent cafe-bar where we had breakfast and could sit in the evening. We didnā€™t try it at the hotel, so we canā€™t evaluate it. We'll try another time) Of course, parking to choose from. Closer is more expensive 63 euros. further by metro 10 euros. Thanks to the staff, they are friendly and help with everything. You can register at any time of the day. We'll definitely be back. Thank you ā¤ļø

Was a bed to sleep. Our room had a horrible smell, we're assuming it was the toilet brush. Had a dirty little fridge as well. The staff was not so friendly. Update: So surprised that you replied to my 7-year-old review. Hope things have improved in the years that have since passed.

Nice Hotel, clean rooms, nice and polite owner, great position in Amsterdam and great price to quality ratio. If we ever come back to Amsterdam, we'll probably get this Hotel again.

I know the owners who are tremendous people with a positive attitude and wonderful sense of humour. 100% recommend! Welcoming, easy to talk to makes any stay enjoyable.

Nice hotel. Didn't eat in as so can't comment of the food. Room was ok. We had a twin. A little small and on the top floor so had to negotiate three flights of stairs which certainly keep you fit. A little far out but not a bad walk into the central areas.

Highly recommend here! Tram is 2mins walk away, lovely park opposite, away from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam centre but easy to get there by tram (only a few quick stops). Steep stairs so if you aren't able to climb many stairs let them know. Location is great and I think good value for money.

Completely uncooperative staff. Due to new Covid restriction we were unable to stay in the hotel in date we chose. After contacting hotel I asked if itā€™s possible to change date of stay. Of course as expected hotel staff simply said no, even after we offered to pay extra to change date hotel still said no. I do not recommend picking this hotel, as during Covid times you can not expect any understanding or cooperation from hotel.

i DO NOT RECOMMAND THIS HOTEL !! THEY ARE THIEF !! The host is an unfriendly person. Our travel was cancelled cause of EUNICE tempest. Every train to amsterdam are cancelled during 2 days, so we can't go to the hostel. They don't won't to know anything. THEY PREFER MONEY TO BE COMPREHENSIVE. I could unsterdand the prejudice for them, but they don't won't to make a commercial gift, or refund a part of the price. It's a tempest, an exceptional event. One word >>> THIEF !! So go away, they are more friendly and comprehensive ! !

Due to Eunice tempest, we can go to Amsterdam for our trip. We had to take the Thalys saturday morning and we knew that all the trains were cancelled just when we arrived at the station ! Trains company was perfect and comprehensive, it refund us without any problem. Hotel Parklaneā€¦ absolutely not ! It doesnā€™t want to do anything : refund us entirely or just a half, make a commercial giftā€¦ nothing ! They arenā€™t comprehensives and commercials. They just want to have free money ! I do not recommend this hotel.

Extremely kind and helpful staff. We really enjoyed our stay, would caution it is not handicap accessible. The stairs are very steep and narrow so it was a bit challenging with our luggage. The room was also a bit warm with the window stuck shut and no ac. Neither of these bothered us, but just something you should be aware of.

My experience at the Parklane hotel was satisfactory. It is located 15 minutes walk from the center of Amsterdam in a quiet area and both the room and the breakfast were good. And it's also reasonably priced.

šŸ˜ It is a large, somewhat impersonal, completely unshaded and extremely noisy campsite (we were in the tented section).Noisy because there is a large multi-lane bridge nearby, which is still very busy at night.
