Staying in street better than staying in Atlantis We stayed in Hotel Atlantis between 30 June-5 July. Firstly, there is no refrigerator in the room. Bathroom drainage system is not working properly. The water overflowing from the bathroom formed a small pond. You can swim a small goldfish in this pond. During the day when the room was cleaned, the garbage was not collected. The carpet was never cleaned during the days we stayed. overall it was a very bad experience. I would never recommend staying here

This message is to warn you about the staff that works in the hotel, about an employee who did not want to give me his name, he is a man around 30 years old, white skin, tall, short hair and a robust build (fat), he is often in the front desk at the afternoon. The complaint arises because I approached him to ask if the hotel had a taxi service to the airport, for which he attended me correctly. When he told me the price, I made the comment that with Uber it would cost me half the price. It was then that his attitude changed and he became aggressive telling me that he did not use Uber and if I used it would be at my own risk. His answer surprised me, so I asked him if Uber was a service that works well in the city, to which he replied saying "if it works well in your city, it works well here too". I told him that his attitude seemed rude to me, I asked for his name, which he did not want to give me, and he kept insisting that I tell him my room number, which I did not give him because his attitude really scared me. For everything else I had a good experience in the hotel except for this with the employee.

I entered the hotel as I was in the neighborhood and needed to have a rest from exploring Amsterdam all day and noticed a nice cafe restaurant inside. The location was very good, central plus. The most important however was that I noticed the manager and staff there were most courteous and helpful, extremely professional. On that trip I did not find the time to stay there, but next time I visit the city I will definitely try it out.

A little out of the area we wanted to be, but tram station Ceintuurbaan is 2 minutes away and you can get trams very often. Best way I did this was with Google maps and it would tell you what you needed. 24hr tram tickets are around €6.50 but well worth it with the amount you can use them. Hotel itself is great - we didn't need anything super duper fancy as we would barely be there- rooms were clean, comfortable and exceeded my expectations to be honest. Bathroom right in my style - shower was good power. Staff on the desk very friendly Stairs are very steep but there is a lift. Perfect for a couple to use as a base like we did.

Only two advantages, convenient for sightseeing and quite clean. Everything else simply embarrassing: old, small rooms, in some cases with windows on the street, or rather Red district style windows. A price not justified. Definitely not coming back.

I stayed at Hotel Atlantis between 30 June and 5 July. they didn't clean the rooms. bathroom drain was not working. the bathroom was not clean. they did not take the daily garbage. Although the location is good, the cleanliness was bad.

The heater didn’t work when it was 2 Celsius’s degree outside, and the blankets were not enough so we had to wear out own coats to sleep. They gave us the rooms at street level so we could hear everyone walking outside and all cars. Please, book a different hotel if you want to sleep well.

Booked the Atlantis for a few days leisure break. It's located little bit on the south side of the outer canal 'ring' but trams and buses serve it well. It is however quite a long walk to the central area near Central Station. Check in was straightforward and friendly. Room (Rm 16 in our case) was very comfortable, modern and also decent sized bathroom. Bedding and towels were changed daily which was nice. We had breakfast there every day and it was good quality and varied. Really couldn't complain at all!

All was perfect! Rooms clean (they changed room service company so now it's all good, forget comments about poor cleanliness). Take a room with balcony to be at the silent court yard side... breakfast was good too. All overall good value for price (book directly on their website). And if you wanna more extras then just pay double price at other hotel. I will return here 😊

We stayed there for 3 nights during our stay in Amsterdam, and I couldn't have asked for anything more! It's not a luxury hotel by any means, but still it's a great place to crash after a hectic day of roaming around the city. The rooms are great, breakfast is great, the staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful. Location is close to the museum street, so places like Van Gogh Museum and Heineken experience are easily accessible. 10/10 would recommend.

This was a last minute find but I’m so happy we booked. The hotel ist located perfectly amongst a huge variety of Restaurants, Bars, Cafes, coffeehouses. The most difficult thing is making your choice where to eat. The room itself was on the top floor (4th). It was clean and modern. We had a balcony out the back which had a large view over the surrounding rooftops. Down side is the elevator was out-of-service and those stairs are STEEP!! The walls are thin so you will hear the comings and going’s of everyone else on your floor. We didn’t book breakfast but it looked delicious and simple. All in all we will book again.

The hotel is very good, excellent location, spacious and clean rooms and incredibly friendly receptionists. I don't give five points to the service because there is also a male receptionist, (a fat one) very unpleasant and rude, zero empathy with the guests and rude, always with a bad face, if you ask him something he answers reluctantly and if you don't speak English with a native accent it passes by you even if you express yourself correctly, that guy is very unfriendly, he honestly tarnishes the good image of the Hotel. For everything else it is excellent

The room was ok but a little dusty and the bed had a yellow stain but no bugs. The seperate twin beds were put together and unless you move them apart yourself they are the same as a double bed.

Mini-sized cosy and easy hotel near everything not far from Amstel canal. Optional breakfast served, but many cafes nearby also have their treats.

Location is good but that's it. I don't recommend this hotel at all. The room was not clean, the bed sheets were not changed from those who stayed previously. No ventilation in the room. No good lighting - it's too dark. Definitely too pricy for having uncleaned rooms.

Its in a good location, close to the RAM station so you can go anywhere. But the whole building was smelling like weed as if they were not cleaning at all. Also the room is cramped and a bit ugly.

Nice hotel ok Rooms near to the center, the best part is BREAKFAST, the guy serving us was very kind and helpful, he was looking in kind of rush however NO complaints as we could see him managing other guest too..... we appreciate his hard work for the lovely breakfast

Loved the neighborhood! some of the staff were really nice but there was a really rude and grumpy guy. The acoustic is awful. I woke up 10x at night with external noise. The sheets were good and new but the rooms looked old.

Really nice rooms, cute small porch, comfy bed, eve a coffee machine! Really great breakfast, and incredible location. The staff was usually super nice, just the shower is quite weak, and don't get a taxi from them. It's expensive. Besides that, really recomended

We were 4 friends traveling to Amsterdam for 4 nights and we booked 2 different rooms. The price and location of the hotel were decent compared to rest of Amsterdam but the rooms and service were a bit lacking. First of all the beds in the rooms were way too soft, one turn on the bed and you almost fell off. The blanket inside the sheet had a huge brown stain on it and the bed itself had stain all over the place under the sheets. The sheets were clean though. Also the two rooms we booked were completely different. Our room had only one closet and coat hangers for one person but the second room had two closets and double the hangers. Also the room in front of the beds was way bigger in the other room. In out room you had to squeeze through the gap. The bigger lights in the room weren't working also. I am also used to getting two separate keys or leaving the keys in the reception when going out. We just got a single keycard and had to ask the reception to open the door in our room if we arrived back at a different time. Compared to many other 3 star hotels I have been in Europe this definitely was the worst one out of all of them.

For the price and location, this is a pretty good hotel. Do not expect much from the wifi connection. Not sure if we ever got truly comfortable with the wallpaper poster of a woman's mouth behind our bed.

Great hotel for the price. The location is really good and there are tons of things around, especially the market behind and easy tram access. The room had balcony so it was a big plus. Although tiny, the room has everything you need and great for a short stay. The only con was the cleanliness of the bathroom and towels.

Great value for money! Nice and tidy rooms with an awesome location near the market and city center. The staff is really friendly also. We will come back!

Most of the staff was very rude!!! Rooms were dirty, mold in the showers, wallpaper falling off the walls. Pictures on their website do not match what you will get. Rooms are very small. The only good point about this hotel is the location. Very close to tram and walking distance of restaurants. If I would have known how horrible this place was I would have paid a little more and gone elsewhere

Great location at the intersection of two popular trams. Safe and convenient neighbourhood; Albert Cuypstraat is within walking distance and so is Albert Heijn (a classic Netherlands supermarket). Casa Nostra is also very close by - I highly recommend you give it a try, it's a great Italian restaurant. Rooms are small, dark and a little threadbare, but they're clean and have everything you'd need. No breakfasts because of Covid-19. They are a Tours & Tickets partner, which can get you some sweet deals and resources for Amsterdam. Staff are amicable, sometimes the communication barrier is a problem but it's largely okay. Alexander is exceptionally friendly, if he's on duty you're in luck! Overall a great stay for a 3-star hotel.

Start with the good: Location is wonderful. Close to the centrum, but also located in a very nice and lively neighborhood. + The people were friendly overall. Now the bad: paperthin walls, you hear everything. Rooms on the streetside have the additional perk of the continuous noise from the outside. The room is VERY old. Not dirty per se, but it sure did gave a very dirty feeling. The bathroom was renovated, so that was OK. If the price was half of what I paid, it would have been a fair deal

Not a bad budget motel room. Paper thin walls. Dreadful shower. Poor heating and ventilation. No in room fridge. Brilliantly located and only a few minutes on either of two teams (#2 and #4) to get everywhere you want to. For the right price, this is a good alternative to the more expensive accommodation in Amsterdam. A step down if you're used to 4⭐ hotels, but functional. Watch that they don't over charge you the accommodation tax when you check in!!!

Staff are very lovely, the location is wonderful, in the heart of de pijp, where the locals hangout. The price is not bad at all for the quality of the room you get

Very quiet hotel. Convenient location, close to the city center, and with many tram stations, super markets, cafés and restaurants nearby.

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever been in. Bad smell when we arrived. My bed was infested with bugs and I now have a rash (2 weeks later). Do not stay here.

  • 4/5 Ritchie K. 1 year ago on Google
I was here for only 1 night. The beds are perfectly fine, the showers do not have a lot of water coming from them but hey, what do you expect for this price. The location is very nice and easily accessible. The walls are very thin so you can hear quite a lot but if you’re looking for a 1 or 2 night cheap stay, this will do just fine.

Nice clean room. Service good. TV didn't work, but we were not in the room enough to watch it. Just wanted to see the local news.

Room and bed was clean and ok sized. Booked 2 twin beds which were put together and no option to separate them. The bathroom door did not close properly. There a weird window in the ceiling with very cumbersome mechanism to close resulting sun getting in your eyes early in the morning.

DO NOT STAY HERE - Extremely disgusted and disappointed. To our absolute shock we spotted a BED BUG on one of the beds. Of course, you then start pulling back the sheets to find more bed bugs and MULTIPLE stains. In pointing this out the staff were unapologetic and empathetic, almost like this was normal! The room in general was very dirty. My brand new Prada sunglasses were also stolen after we'd left the room and returned. I regretfully trusted my friend in finding this hotel as she had stayed there before. I wish I had read other peoples reviews who also said their belongings were stolen!
