I stayed one night and never have I been bitten by or seen a bed bug. I woke to a quick check out as we had places to be the next day. My legs had small bites, but i thought maybe mosquitoes, however my partner had grabbed a quick photo of a bug before check out so we could do some research through the day. We tried to contact the hotel for a refund and to let them know of the issue, but they said there was nothing they could do after check out. Location was the only ok thing about the hotel.

The bedroom smelt really bad and the bed sheets weren't clean, I will not even describe the condition of the mattress and the stains. When arriving they ask for a 50€ deposit and no receipt of that transaction is offered even after requesting it so you have to trust them. The shower could have a better screen, because water flows out and can reach the bedroom. Definitely not coming back, it's not a significant difference of money compared to a decent hotel

The hotel is filthy and dilapidated. DO NOT TRUST THE PICTURES. Every photo you see other than the bedrooms is the same tiny space. The furniture is torn and there are bugs. Additionally, there are stray animals living in the lobby. It looks like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here. Even for the price, I promise it's not worth it.

Dirty room with spider inside (window was left open) full of dust. Towels were dirty with make up and mascara marks, pillows had white stains on pillow covers, all bedding felt damp. Complaint to the receptionist and manager, they said that no other room was available and said for us to go out for dinner that they would change the sheets. We said that under the conditions of the whole situation this wasn’t enough and checked out 10 min after check in. The receptionist advised for us to get a refund but the manager is refusing, saying that we didn’t give them the chance to make it right. Avoid that place

Got to say this has to be the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I should have checked the reviews before I booked for my trip in early September, but I managed and didn’t see any bed bugs or have any bites (thankfully). The room was tiny (which I could accept for the price) but I was near a wasp nest and two wasps managed to get into my room, I had to keep the window open because it was so hot and stuffy I was constantly sweating, this did affect my experience in Amsterdam unfortunately. There was a stain on the wall, so I question the cleanliness of this place. When I used the shower it flooded into the room and got my suitcase wet, there was no room for my belongings, just a small hanger. I know it’s affordable but save your money and upgrade if you can. Only positives was the two staff who I reported issues to were accommodating and nice, the location was ideal if you want to visit the museums and close to transport, but this wasn’t enough for me to want to book a room here again.

Room was incredibly noisey, I would of been quieter to sleep outside on the busy road. If you thinking of booking this hotel pack some ear defenders. The room wasn't cleaned for 2 days. Plus I had to recommend the owners of the poor cat in reception to get some flee protection. Avoid

Visited last September. The receptionist had small talk with me and asked about the country where I'm from. Let's just say, his attitude changed after sharing where I'm from. Whenever I ask questions, it's as if I'm just an annoyance. Adding to that, the room was filthy and had non existent sound proofing. That would have been fine I guess if it werent for the weird interaction at the reception.

Staff was not so friendly on arrival, it was also not possible to leave our bags after check in (there was only an open closet but could not lock). Room was ok, floor is a little dirty but not too bad. We were lucky that our room was at the back of the building so we had a big window (other rooms only have a small window to the corridor). Balcony was very dirty but since it was winter we didn't need it.

Not sure how to start this review… When i booked this hotel I didn’t expect much.. first of all when I arrived the lady at the reception was really nice. i went to my room and was a bit dissatisfied because it wasn’t clean and clearly the guets before were smoking in there. But it says 100% smoking free It was dusty, and definitely not cleaned at all. Windows were open and it smelled so bad like cat toilet .. During our 5 days stay the cleaning lady and her kid?? Came every morning in our hotelroom for what reason? Not to clean but give us fresh towels. She even came inside when I took a shower which was disturbing and unprofessional at the same time. I would say this is not a hotel it’s more hostel. Pictures speaks for itself. +location was great.

First thing first, the name of the hotel on the reservation is different on the google map. Reservation states and the name on the building says "Hotel Blossoms" but on the map it's "Blossom city hotel". We booked an uber and it took us to a different place because of the confusing hotel name. We had to walk to get to the right one. We stayed more than a week The room is small and it smells so bad. I had to use my own perfume and spray the whole room just to get through the smell. They did clean the room but the smell is still there. There are molds build up in the shower. Shower has no door so expect to wet the whole restroom floor when using the shower. Pillows are saggy and uncomfortable so I had to use the duvet insert as a pillow. Their lady staff and the cat are the only positive in this hotel. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Solid hotel. It's very central, clean, and has an uncomplicated 24 hour reception. The rooms are extremely simple and there are strict rules to sign at check in. For 1-2 nights, the hotel is just fine. There's little comfort, no breakfast, no room service unless requested, which is perfectly fine considering the price. Would book it again.

Beautiful room, beautiful bathroom, but very small (expected for the price). My only complaint is that the bed had some hard pilling balls under the sheets, which made sleeping uncomfortable. WARNING: do NOT open the window, there are many bees outside that will fly in. I left mine open and woke up to being stung by a bee. There were already 3 bees in my room in the 3 hour nap I took. This is not the hotel's fault, just be warned.

This is more of a hostel than a hotel. For the price I paid I cannot complain. The pillow cases and the bed sheets were ripped and stained yellow. They had such an old damp smell on them. The bathroom is TINY. The entire room is very crammed. This place is only ideal for a quick trip to Amsterdam, but even then this stay will ruin it for you. The only this nice about the hotel was the reception area that was nice and the receptionist was kind. You can hear every conversation through the walls. The location was the best thing about this place. Do not expect anything modern about this place.

Absolute nightmare. We couldn't get into our room to sleep because the door wouldn't open. While the receptionist looked absolutely overwhelmed, we suggested call the owner to get a solution. We understand that problems happens, so we tried to be reasonable but the owner showed his incompetence when he did not give us ANY SOLUTION at all, he did not offer us another room, he did not call a locksmith or even apologize to us! We asked for the complain form and Oh! surprise, it does not exist, in fact, he suggest me to write it on a book. After 3 hours we were on between calling the police -as we were with no room and no personal stuff- or call Chef Ramsay to record an Hotel hell chapter, when finally we could get in to our room, at almost 4am, after we fixed the problem with the door lock by ourselves. The manager considered that there weren't reasons enough for not to pay the night and charged us half of the amount and we had to visit Amsterdam having only slept 4 hours. It was definitely the worst hostel experience I've ever had.

After reading those negative comments, I was prepared for the worst. But the room turned out to be acceptable. Where else can you get a private single room with toilet and shower in De Pijp for this price? Pros 1. Location! Unbeatable location! 2. Transportation! Tram 24, Metro, or just by foot. 3. The two staff I met were both friendly. 4. There's a tiny elevator that helps a lot. As long as you can overcome the steps in front door of the hotel. Cons -- 1. I was lucky to be in the Innenhof side of the building. No noises from th street. But the wall is for sure thin, and my door is not fully sealed. Hence, you'll hear when someone walks in the hallway. 2. The extra lock on the door is not functional because it was not installed properly (probably 1 mm too high). But, the door is electrical, which means it's locked anyway when you close it properly. 3. The bathroom must have been renovated. Quite clean to me. But the shower head wasn't installed properly and would create a fountain in some specific angles. The toilet seat is half broken. Still manageable, though. 4. The bathroom and toilet is very small. I couldn't get into the shower without dragging down the toilet paper roll. Again, the location overcame most of those cons to me.

Horrible experience. Stayed in the basement room and the noise from the intersection made it impossible to sleep. Had to waste our 2 night stay and leave to find a new hotel at 3AM. The sheet cover kept sliding off exposing the mattress under which is not very nice. There were black hairs in the towels and in our bed. Staff was nice though. I dont know about the rest of the rooms but I would never recommend this place.

Our room was on the first floor so it was very loud at night because we could hear everything that was going on outside. All of our towels had dark hairs in them and the room was quite cold because of bad windows. Also according to their rules you weren't allowed to eat or drink in the room and we didn't like that. Location of the hotel is good. We did have a good stay and our room was clean so that was good.

Pros: comfortable beds, clean, hairdryer and shower product in bathroom, great location, staff were very attentive! Also there is a very sweet cat in reception which is pleasant to pet while you wait to check in. Cons: no tea/coffee in the room (there seems to be drink making available near reception), stairs are a little steep but that's Dutch architecture for you!

I recently had an unfortunate experience with Blossoms City Hotel that left me deeply dissatisfied with their customer service. I reached out to the hotel’s customer service team inquire about changing the reservation date, I was met with an unhelpful and inflexible attitude. The staff appeared disinterested and unwilling to assist in any way. In the future, I hope Blossom City Hotel reevaluates its customer service policies to be more understanding towards customers. Sadly, my experience has left a lasting negative impression.

The poor looking entrance reflects the interior mediocrity. Actually, the place is fine if you follow some survival rules : - don’t touch de floor or the walls or anything with any bare body parts - don’t look too closely at anything - don’t use the towels - don’t look under the bedsheets or the beds - don’t look through the windows (cause you can’t) - don’t expect to be able to close the bathroom door or use a bathroom mat - don’t forget your antihistamine pills - don’t forget to apply hydrogel - don’t expect to leave your luggage in secured place Jokes apart, it’s dirty and unwelcoming. Stay away.

I came to this hotel during my stay in Amsterdam, I came late because an unclear information panel let me stop in the wrong train station, the personnel is super-nice and available even when you are late and tired! The first man I met at the receptionist even offered me a glass of tap water! They ask you for 50 euros in cash as a deposit in case of late check-in or smoking in the rooms (it's forbidden). There is something similar to a bar at the ground floor, but they explained me that they used to serve breakfast in the past (in 2023, they don't offer it, but the place is in a nice position, there are some bakery shops near it in which you can have your breakfast with stroopwafel, why not?). My room was small but nice, there is also an elevator next to it. Hotel prices in Amsterdam are really high (the same is for Belgium) and this was the cheapest one I found. Five stars

BE AWARE they have bed bugs in a couple of rooms. We found some in ours and couldn’t even leave because they were booked. Location is good but the hotel is in a bad state. Cannot recommend.

Very bad service. I booked your hotel and within days they canceled my reservation without giving me an explanation. I wrote email to fix it and they didn't respond. If you want tranquility for your trip I do not recommend this hotel, it can fail at the last moment without warning

Moderate, more treatment is required, to be sincere, bed bugs must be treated completely. An overhaul is needed in the hotel to treat bed bugs. I resided in this hotel for 28 days. Services are nice except for the treatment. It's needed.

It was a cozy nice little hotel room, it was close to everything essential, they just need air conditioners. Paula the hotel clerk was a very nice person.

Small but clean room. We booked a triple room and it was definitely cramped but having shelves helped. As noted by other reviewers, there is not much insulation so you can hear everything (vehicles, beeping walk signal, passers-by) outside and doors closing and opening and footsteps. Needless to say, my first night was rough. I downloaded white noise/rain sound and I played that all night which drowned out the unwanted noise. Slept like a baby! The bathroom was decent size. The stairs were very steep. The elevator can only fit 2 people plus luggage. The staff was friendly. Location is great -- close to the tram, restaurants, grocery, etc.

Experience in Hotel Blossom is a BIG NO NO. Very dirty rooms and mice running around the floor and beds. Not so cheap for what it offers. Better book a hostel if you want a cheap solution for your vacation. (P.S there is a cat in the reception desk running around and sitting on the dining area tables which is inappropriate in a space where people eat and sleep.)

very unpleasant to have a reservation made two months ago cancelled to force you to pay the "dirty" price or leave you without accommodation.

No luxury at all but all in all quite good. The rooms were small but I was alone and I haven’t slept that good in a long time. Could have been cleaner but for my stay it was great. Also I could leave my luggage there for hours after check-out. Location is very good, right next to Heineken Brewery.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Avoid at all costs - it was FILTHY! They didn’t clean the room, all the sheets and towels were disgusting. Even the “clean” sheets and towels had stains. DO NOT STAY THERE!

  • 1/5 Sailing Ocean F. 1 year ago on Google
Terrible hotel, the worst bed we have ever had. To small with a hole in the middle so I kept falling on my husband all night. The bed linen wasn’t done properly because the bed is glued to the wall, so all the sheets came out at night. Extremely small bedroom in the basement. The steps on the stairs were so small that you have to be extra careful not to fall. Really bad!

We had some problems with the booking agency but the women at the reception was super friendly and helpful!! She really tryed here best and we would recommend the hotel!!! At our next trip we will sleep there for sure! :)))

Great location and very reasonably priced. Easy to access from the train station and easy to get to many of the main sites in Amsterdam that you are looking to go see. Room was reasonably sized and for the price hard to complain.

I have fully paid the rooms i booked, and I was not able to check-in in this hotel because of a family emergency, so i had to cut short my trip. I kept messaging agoda but AGODA wasnt responding also. so i messaged the hotel several times (even 1 month in advance) and they have never responded. there is an automated way on requesting for refund/cancellation of my booking in agoda, and the hotel refused my request several times. I even asked to rebook on a different date instead, but no, they also refused. No sense of customer service. Really hard to communicate with Agoda and also the Blossom hotel as well!!! very very bad experience totally

Just horrible! The hotel room was very dirty. The room has not seen a rag for a long time! The bed linen did not seem to be changed. There were black hairs and stains all over the bed. Even for a lower price, you should be able to wait for a clean room! Since the stay, my body has been itchy. You can't walk barefoot through the room. The rooms look bigger than expected in the pictures. You can't spread out a suitcase. I felt like a sardine in a tin. If possible I would give this hotel minus 5 stars. They should be ashamed to serve that to people and let them pay money. Please buy from my money some cleaning products.

I was a little concerned about this hotel after reading so many bad reviews, but I decided to give it a chance, since the location and the price were so perfect. I was not disapointed. The staff was very friendly, the room, the sheets, towels and bathroom were really clean. I could point two negative things about this room: it was really small (which was no problem, I was alone) and my pillow was nothing but a folded blanket inside a pillow cover. Other than that no complains. Could definitely stay here again.
