Very nice breakfast place with a lot of options and huge omlettes. I ordered 'salmon deluxe' and my husband chose 'pastrami avocado'. Both were delicious and nicely served. Place itself has it's charm and makes you feel welcome. Also a plus for a quirky menu made out of wood:)

So many omelette options! We ordered the weekly special and the omelette with sucuk. Both were good but slightly watery from the vegetables. They were super busy but turned the tables over pretty quickly and the service was good. The bloody mary was just tomato juice so not the place to go if you’re looking for a boozy brunch, but overall a good experience. They also have gluten-free bread available.

Always a great experience eating here. If you’re in the mood for some nicely done eggs then just walk in here and you won’t be disappointed!

The open kitchen in this place (Omelegg - De Pijp) was the worst and most disgusting looking I’ve ever seen. The stove looked like it was never cleaned before, the floor was dirty. I litterally saw with my own eyes how the cook (a pretty big guy) put his hand INSIDE HIS PANTS AND SCRATCHED THERE and then put his hand back on the pan he was working on! I was totally disgusted. He, shortly after, washed his hands without any soap and just continued his work. Next to that, I saw the other kitchen guy eat the same salad/bread/garnish that he was unpacking and putting on customer’s plates. The huge trash bag was also just carried through the restaurant to the front. A big “no no” in restaurant regulations. And this is what you pay c. €18 per person for.. I will never return to this place again. The food was OK, but not worth the price. The service was OK, but they all looked kind of depressed/sad or even angry.

The croissant itself was fresh and flaky. Great hot chocolate too! Service was nice and efficient. Decent prices. Good, but not 'wow' for us - may need to try another menu item next time.

On a Sunday morning the queue outside stretched down the street, with is a clear testament to the place for breakfast. There’s menus available outside on the street to decide while you wait and the queue went surprisingly quickly. The menu is really extensive. Every variety of omelette is offered but if you are struggling then the ‘construct your own options’ are available as a backup! As well as food there’s a good choice of drinks, including vegetable smoothies, which are all offered in a variety of sizes. The kitchen is completely open and it’s interesting watching the team work from the two chefs who prepare all the dishes. As expected the whole restaurant was very busy and every single member of staff was rushing about. This meant that the level of personal service wasn’t where it could have been, and the wait for drinks was excessively long. Despite this everyone was friendly enough. Size of the food portions was great for the price and the quality was superb. Everything was really tasty, clearly fresh having watched the preparation and really flavoursome. Presentation was good too and despite it only being an omelette thought had been applied! Atmosphere was great, decor was nice and everywhere was clean too. Our table in the centre of the restaurant was a good size for two people but no where felt like it would be cramped. Overall it’s one of the most enjoyable breakfasts I’ve had and I’d certainly return. It’s popular for a reason and there’s plenty of options on the menu to prevent it getting boring. It’s just a shame that the service didn’t quite match.
