The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-trained and friendly :)

A wonderful seafood experience with well-priced items. Everything to love with the “combination for 2”: a seafood platter and a grilled platter in one… lobster, mussels, oysters, prawns, fishes… raw and cooked. So fresh you feel your feet are on the beach. Good selection of wines and cocktails.

We wanted to give a treat to my husband at this seafood restaurant. The seafood was tastefully prepared. I loved my calamari and lobster soup. The oysters, fish, prawns, mussels were well prepared. The desserts were good and my hubby got to blow his birthday candle (sparkle) on his Lemon Meringue Pie. It was a memorable moment for all of us. The price is on the higher end.

First meal in Amsterdam. Brought the family for oyster cos' I remember having really good ones here back in 2017! Nice ambience with really attentive and friendly service crew. Food was okay though I thought some dishes could be less salty and the oyster 🦪 not as fleshy as I remember them to be.

My hotel recommended this place, although I don’t like fish as food, but I do enjoy other seafoods. Upon arrival I was greeted by a high energy and friendly hostess, as I had a reservation she showed me to my table. I like the ambiance. Glancing at the menu and other tables to see what they ordered. I ordered oysters for appetizer, it was very fresh and flavourful. As I was enjoying the appetizer I overheard the table next to me are praising their fish dish, so I too decided to order that fish, I asked it to be deboned which they accommodated. I thought the fish was okay (personal preference). Presentation was simple yet elegant. I was excited for my favourite part, the dessert, I loved it. Bitter and sweet silky and oh so good. Service was very good, great ambiance. I will have to come back in the summertime.

With all the reviews I came here with high expectations but was left just a little disappointed. The staff were excellent however, our host showed us to her favourite table for which I am very thankful for. But the food lacked flavour and maybe we just ordered the wrong dishes? It was also very crowded so maybe with a busy kitchen the quality may have dipped slightly. At any rate we would still like to give it another try at a later date, but the price should have warranted a much better meal.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the service was really quick less than 30m from seating to eating. We ordered the combo platter for the taste everything experience. The place is child friendly, we went with our toddler and he was able to eat from the kids menu. It's also located in the centre, you can walk around before and after eating.

Some food is better than other. Mixed grill / grilled prawns / oysters were good. Scallops / plateau salad / crab cakes were edible, but average. Service was very nice. The waiter was cleaning the table without us even noticing that.

It was a really special experience at this restaurant. The fish is really fresh and the way it is served is quite appetizing. We started off with the lobster soup; it was really tasty. After that we got the combination platter, some cold fish and others from the grill. Except for the sea snails, everything else was pretty great. The staff is also super friendly and the whole atmosphere is quite chill.

I had a fantastic dining experience at The Seafood Bar in Spui! This popular restaurant is always bustling, so I highly recommend booking a table in advance. The Mixed Grill was a highlight, offering a delightful variety of fresh and tasty fish. I also recommend trying the Mussels (French Style), they were superb. Don't miss out on the side dishes like Sweet Potato Fries, Green Asparagus, and Calamari. Overall, a must-visit for seafood lovers!

We had a lovely evening in the Seafood bar. They have amazing seafood which you see in display. We had the mixed grill plate for two. The selection was great and tasty. The only downside was that the food did not arrive very hot at the table and cooled very fast. It was a pity for the great seafood to be eaten cold.

Saturday night and managed to score a late booking. Absolutely packed with guests and with several turnovers, the staff really had their work cut out for them - well done to the team! We had the grilled seafood platter, masterfully (perfectly) cooked on the hot plate and very fresh! A great choice for two to share. There were heaps of guests still waiting for tables when we left, a clear indication of the excellent food and service...

Really great place with a good ambience for fresh seafood with friends! Would definitely recommend if you are looking to satisfy your seafood cravings. Oysters were definitely one of the highlights, fresh and super tasty. The portions were more than enough for 2 (what they recommend)

I visited this restaurant in October 2018 and still remember how good it was. Everything was so fresh and generous amount of food. I will definitely visit here if I go to Amsterdam again. Highly recommend if you are a seafood lover!

A must-try for seafood lovers. High-quality food at a reasonable price. The staff are friendly. I visited this restaurant twice during my 3-day stay in Amsterdam which is unusual me since I like to try new restaurants. The first time I ordered a cold seafood platter for one. So fresh and big portion. I couldn’t be happier. The second time I ordered grilled octopus, gratinated scallops, and oysters. Though I was not so excited about octopus and scallops, oysters were heavenly tasty.

Amazing food, great atmosphere and our waiter LISANDRO was absolutely awesome. He made the experience even better. The seafood was so fresh. Must try the lobster soup, the fresh oysters and the seafood platter mix was ALL scrumptious. Highly recommend 👍

Went for a quick lunch with my husband. It was not our first time here. I loved everything we got. Food is always delicious and the service is good even though it's full and super busy. We got the lobster soup, crab cakes, kibbeling, cod fillet and sweet potato fries. We shared everything as we always do when we go out so we can experience different dishes. Food was warm and properly cooked. Tastes were amazing, especially the puree and mushrooms that came along the cod fillet. The lobster soup warmed us up on a cold winter day. Definitely gonna come back. Those seafood platters for two are also amazing as we tried them before. 100% recommended

This was a truly magnificent meal out in Amsterdam. We had a wonderful and very cute waiter named David who was very welcoming, polite and helpful. I had the mixed grill which was truly divine from start to finish with a huge selection of fresh seafood. My companion had the spaghetti vongole which was also delicious & freshly prepared. We paired this with a bottle of Riesling which really complimented the dishes We were seated near to the kitchen & to see the chefs preparing the platters was truly amazing. I would recommend making a booking to avoid the disappointment of missing out on dining here....and if time allowed I would have gone again! A MUST if you enjoy seafood in a lovely casual but friendly environment.

We had a delightful dining experience. Our server Julian was amazing, he was efficient, professional and kind. We had catch of the day which was Dorade, first time trying it and absolutely loved it. It was fresh, well seasoned and melt in the mouth. The oyster platter was delicious, the chocolate with bavarois cream was a stand out. The seafood mixed grill was good too. This will be the most memorable meal of our trip to Amsterdam.

The food was incredible. We had the Combination plate for two people and a side dish, we barely finished them. For context, I'm from a desert, so while I'm a big fan of seafood I'm not very used to it; I tried A LOT of new things from this dish and I absolutely loved them. A reservation and a bit of waiting in line were needed, the place was crowded. Service was normal, nothing exceptional but not bad either, you could see everyone was very busy.

This restaurant was excellent. It was a lot bigger than I thought and with chic, modern vibes. It was a nice surprise! Service and food were excellent. We had the Mixed grill, Turbot, Roseval Potatoes and green salad. It was amazing! We had a reservation and were sat immediately by the wonderful host. Be sure to have a reservation!!

I have great pleasure to taste their food. I tried mixed grilled menu and wine that they offer. It was super awesome. They brought a flavored butter. I love it . Great experience for me. Because It was the first time I have tried lobster and I have met someone there who is very important for me :) If you are in Amsterdam just try once, then you will do it again and again.

Seafood was delicious and the service was incredible. They were able to seat me with no reservation in about 15 minutes, and the options there are endless. Highly recommend, especially if you can’t get a table at Pesca. And the price here is the best part, incredibly affordable for such large portions!!!!!

The foods are good and the service is remarkable! It’s a bit pricey but it worths the value. It was Tuesday evening but the whole restaurant is full, so reservation beforehand is highly recommended.

Combination seafood plate was an optimal choice, allowing us to taste the variety of raw seafood and grilled dishes. The venue was fully packed on Monday evening. Reservation of a table in advance is highly advisable.

Went there for dinner. The place is very pretty and big. I ordered the mixed grill which was a lot for one person. But would have definitely love to try the cold platter too. Lobster bisque was really nice though. Would visit again!

Very nice fish restaurant. We had a mixed grill and salads and potatoes and a bottle of chardonnay. The food was tasty and enough for 3 people. Definitely a good place to go in Amsterdam, it s in a nice area, a bit outside the city rush.

Don't miss this spot if you like fresh and great kitchen. We've got high quality seafood in France, but we never tasted this level of seasoning for a crustacean platter. Everything was DELICIOUS. Despite the platter of seafood looking beautiful, many of the items were not the best and left me feeling less than satisfied esp for the price of almost 90 euros. Seafood felt a little dry/not completely fresh. Our order also got mixed up and went to another table, leaving us hungry with a very long wait (45 mins). We were offered a general 'can we do something for you' but were not checked on again by the wait staff. Bread and butter was the highlight, which is unfortunate for a seafood restaurant.

Great place right on a busy pedestrian\bicycle road. Plenty to watch from the outdoor seating area. Food is great if you are seafood person. We really liked the oysters on the half shell for an appetizer and then we had the mixed grill for two, ton of food and reasonable pricing as well. Elsa our waitress was funny and very good.

Excellent restaurant to recommend to seafood-lovers! The service from Annabelle was exquisite! She took care of our gluten-free dishes perfectly and showed top class of restaurant service. She was actively communicating with us without giving us feeling of being disturbed, but showing the perfect amount of care for the quality of food, comfort and atmosphere in the restaurant. She seemed to be genuinely interested in customers and their satisfaction of the restaurant service. The food was amazing and very inventive! Loved everything on "the seafood combination for two". Big applaud for the cooks and kitchen staffs! We are, again, deeply impressed by her service and we would loved to visit the restaurant again! Definitely recommendable restaurant to everyone who will visit Amsterdam!
