My wife and I absolutely LOVED staying at Morgan & Mees when we visited Amsterdam recently. The accommodations were comfortable (although no elevator, so quite a climb of stairs to our room-good exercise?). The food and service in the restaurant on the first floor was outstanding. But, our biggest shout out is to Kitty, the hotel manager. She not only arranged some restaurant dinners in Amsterdam ahead of our stay, but was the jack of all trades for the hotel and restaurant. She was so pleasant and the consummate service professional-she truly made our stay 5 Star!

One star is too much. First they tell us to wait 30 minutes because there are no tables available. After 30 minutes, still nothing. So we tell them what’s up and then suddenly they say that there is tables available, and there was like 10 tables available — they forgot us. Then we sat down, no one came by to give us menus or something. No one even looked at us, but other people who came after us were given all attention you expect from the staff.

Service and location are amazing! This will be a longer review as my experience started bad, turned amazing in the end. There is one room I will never book again, that is room number 7. This room looks to the street. I am a light sleeper and could hear everything from the street. But!!! The service and kindness of the employees definitely helped me. I was moved to a suite as soon as one became available. Unfortunately ended up very very sick.. then they took such good care of me, sliced apples, fruits, tea, medicines etc. I was amazed.

Great boutique hotel where you can access all the old Amsterdam and the canals. The entire hotel is decorated with taste and the food is really good (maybe slightly over priced....but it's Amsterdam!). Lovely experience. I do recommend it!

Great staff, one of the best spots in Rotterdam, and spacious rooms with nice building-appropriate design. Returning in the summer to enjoy the terrace in front, a stroll to Museum Booijmans, Kunsthal, and drinks on the Witte De Withstraat and another cocktail from Marciano from the hotel bar.

This is my second time in this hotel. Change of management in between. The transformation in level of service is *night and day.* The service is absolutely excellent now, of 5* hotel quality. Friendliest check-in, great with special requests, friendly cleaning staff, got served a perfect mimosa with a smile. Just a lovely experience that transforms what used to be just a cute lil boutique hotel now into a relaxing escape. Well done M&M!

We went there on a Sunday noon for lunch. Service was absolutely great. Every single lady working there was super friendly, and helpful. (I noticed a couple entering with their dog. Even before they took a seat, a lady already came to bring the dog a bowl of water. How sweet!) Loved the food and coffee. The sandwich with avocado was not as simple as it might sound. Also the terrace was super nice. No wind at all because it’s a closed area. So we could really enjoy the first rays of sun. Definitely going back again!

Could have been perfect but our waitress was just horrible. Total attitude, not sure why, maybe bc we are American? Too old (60)? She hated her job. The bartender who greeted us was 5 star, the blonde hostess top, the manager(?) , brunette, super friendly and happy, the bus boy (?), who actually ran the bill, very helpful. Food is outstanding, presentation top. I've worked in hotel restaurant management for 35 years and that server has no business in hospitality. Sorry.

This place is amazing, with its professional and welcoming staff. The rooms are clean and spacious, the shower is indulging, the location is good. The downside is the stairs to the room, but lucky that we did it just twice a day. The hotel also serves as a restaurant and a bar, and they are fine and worth a visit as well.

Lovely hotel and a great location. The staff is friendly and the bar and restaurant also are lovely. They left us a cute present for our anniversary celebration.. appreciate the gesture

The restaurant is very aesthetically beautiful. However, the service is the worst, it took approximately 35 minutes to bring us the main course. Portions are ridiculously small and we left hungry. I recommend ordering many side dishes, the wine list is very varied. The prices are too high for what you receive. The taste of food is not necessarily the best. It wasn’t a good experience.

Only experienced dinner & drinks. Service and food are beyond my expectations for Amsterdam standards. Attentive friendly staff. Steak and fish was delicious. The only thing is you have to additional on sides, so the main was plain but the sides you can easily share with 'small' eaters

Went to dinner here last night; the whole experience was average at best. The hostess just pointed to where we were to sit. The service was slow to take our order, and the food was bland. Three of us had the chicken, which tasted like it was boiled, was blahhh and chewy. The cocktail (cinnamon something) tasted like soap or a candle… I like the location and atmosphere but it will be sometime before I go here again.

Great Hotel and restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam. They catered to all our needs and were very forthcoming. Thanks a bunch!

Such a great property. The whole experience was first class all around. If you are into boutique hotels, it’s THE place to stay in Amsterdam.

“Classic” amsterdam hotel cafe, great for weekend brunch. They have a cozy indoor-outdoor garden, which I suggest dining at when you visit for a more refreshing feeling. Get mimosas, of course coffee and try their cabbage or ribs. Burgers are ok, the fries with it are the star.

Oysters and see bar were great. We didn’t like so much the turbot that was mixed with choucroute. Cocktails were very nice.

Can't judge the food. Just went for a quick coffee on the terrace. You feel like you're in a typical Parisian café...The staff is amazing, truly a 5 star experience.

Decent location and venue.. the service suffers from lack of staff, but otherwise the food is generally good. Avoid the beef tenderloin (mine was drenched in Balsamic), the oysters are amazing, as is the cod and steak tartare is with some mayonnaise?! Scallops looked good (did not try).

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Morgan and Mees, and I can't express my gratitude enough to Kitty and the incredible team. Right from the start, Kitty's responsiveness and helpful information made the planning process effortless. The night itself was a highlight — the service was seamless, and the food and drinks were superb. The attention to detail from the team truly elevated the entire experience. A big thank you to everyone at Morgan and Mees for making my job easier and for creating such a memorable evening. Our group of 13 had a wonderful Christmas party, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Amsterdam and another delightful experience at your establishment.

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
