In my opinion is the worst service in town that I tried. One lady of the staff was incredible arrogant and rude with us. I also received a canteen full of dirt (not cleaned properly). The food is not so good and is expensive compared to what you get. The tiramisu is not even a tiramisu, they put some ladyfingers in a cup with some whipped cream over them.

Food is rather average unfortunately. The location is great, and the staff is efficient and courteous, even if not overly friendly. We were served fast, but the food was not up to our expectations. The goat cheese salad was too sweet, and the cheese was of rather low quality. Burger was ok but a bit soaking in fat and sauce unfortunately. A bit disappointing.

I went there to watch two of the world cup games. The location was nice and comfortable. The beers are good and the price point was okay. We tried the fish and chips which is perfectly done. The only negative point is, the waiters are very slow to get the orders or hand over the receipt!

Average, just okay. Typical high volume restaurant close to centraal. Had fresh mint tea, fries, and didn't stay for a full meal as expected, since we felt staff were rather unfriendly, despite it being off hours.

My visit to this restaurant was ver much unplanned and I was happy that I had plenty of time due to how long the visit was. This was not due to the kitchen staff, but due to my server, whose name I believe is Anakasha (or something similar). She was extremely inattentive and seemed to be everywhere but checking on her tables. The people around me who also had her seemed to have similar thoughts. A visit that should have taken an hour turned into over 2. There were other servers that were doing her job for her and I was appreciative of them. This is the reason for my rating. Other than that, the food was delicious.

Nice modern restaurant. The food is also good. Not a must visit but if you are in the area of the Opera and you just had a nice walk into the flea market you can stop by for a beer and a sandwich. You will not regret that. Definitively recommended is the RAW burger sandwich which you can see in one of the pictures.

The stocky waiter was rude and avoided me when I asked when I could place my order after waiting for 15-20 minutes. His female colleague was nice though.

Really bad service (waited at least 15 minutes without service before we left). A manager who was almost aggressive towards us for trying to put some tables together (we were a big group). The waitress had said it was ok, but ‘it’s her first day, you shouldn’t listen to her’… When you treat your staff that way, I don’t want to spend my money there… Very bad place!!

Not the worst burger I’ve had but definitely not the best. Fries tasted and felt as though they were made an hour ago and were just sitting out. Service is quick and they have an efficient way of calling for service through flipping a coloured light. Fairly expensive as my mediocre burger was 17,50 euro but the view from the patio is the Amstel river and would be nice during the summer for a beer or cocktail.

Place has a wonderful decor that set it apart from the rest of the places we tried on our trip. We came right before the kitchen closed and ordered our food. Staff was happy to take our order as long as we could order within 10 minutes. Service was fast, and the food was excellent. Our party ordered 2 burgers, 1 steak sucade steak, and the half chicken. Burger patties were bit more compressed than our liking, but otherwise all excellent. Steak was cooked medium rare as requested, with some fries that had a lovely crisp texture.

Visited for drinks only on a Friday afternoon. Brilliant location, lovely clean bar, and great staff!

Nice place, nice view, nice night's to meet there.

We planned a nice evening at the opera and a Quick dinner at the Amstelhoeck for a special occasion. We are long term customers and we have been going there for many years. We started having drinks on the terrasse, first they told us dinner was not possible but after checking with the kitchen staff they allowed us to have dinner there. We ordered our meal right away and moved inside as directed by the waiter. Inside we were very rudely welcome by the manager of the restaurant who was super angry on us and told us we couldn’t have dinner. He told us We had to wait before even though our order was already proceed and managed by his staff and the place was almost empty. It was supposed to be a quick dinner before heading to the opera but we didn’t feel welcome and treated fairly. It’s simply not how you treat customers who spend 200 euros on a simple dinner. The other staff was very friendly though. Very bad point is the manager of the place. For this reason we won t come back, there are plenty of nicer options around! Not recommended.

I enjoyed the food - I ordered the olives, the vegetarian cheese platter, and cheese sticks. The beer was great and cold. Very nice atmosphere. The downfall in this restaurant, was the service. It took 20 minutes for someone to take our drinks, we were never asked if we needed another one and took 20 minutes for the check. Worst part is, I went outside to smoke a cigarette, returned to use the restroom before we left, and was asked by the manager to pay half a euro at the bar to use their restroom. I understand this could be policy, yet I explained to him I was just sitting and eating on the terrace. He was so rude and disrespectful, I had to write this review. After I found the receipt I made sure to show it to him meanwhile he was letting others use the restroom without asking to charge who were not at the restaurant eating. Discrimination if you ask me.

Nice location but very understaffed place. The waiter is running around unable to help everyone because he is alone .... On a busy weekend day. The menu has changed too, into less protein and more carbs - so not for better.

Waiting for my fiancee here as it is located next to Stopera for opera Carmen. Nice view on the canals, lovely girl attending me for drinks, sharp witty young girl very professional also to other guests. When my fiancee arrived little late she was served a salad and had some fries on the side. Fries were under fried, beer vaasje / vase 4 euro. Salad lacked fantasy for 18 euro. Yet, at this location not complaining the opera the be was worse. Kreist I'm starting to sound like the grumpy guys at muppet show balcony and only 47 pfff luxury is a biatch

We stopped for a sunny coffee in there outside area which is big many tables in the open air. The coffee was very good, the staff excellent. However the on-line ordering was involved eventually we had to go to the till to submit or order.

Great place with a nice location and lots to see. However, the cappuccinos we ordered were totally different and disappointing. Even after requesting a replacement for one, the second one was still not up to par. Hope they improve their coffee quality.

Great food and service. Warm friendly atmosphere. The steak and gravy was superb.
