Honestly quite underwhelming. We had all of the dishes (6 for 2 people, which is what they recommend). Some dishes were actually quite great (white beetroot starter and smoky leek). The rest didn’t live up to the hype. I think the biggest disappointment was the steak. There was nothing wrong with it, but for the price (ca. 30 eur) having just 1.5 slices of steak served lukewarm? We didn’t exactly expect to get massive portions but this dish was just alright and not at all the star we’d anticipated. We’ve not been asked how the food was throughout the night, only at the end when we got the bill which was a bit of a letdown too. There are plenty of overpriced places in Amsterdam serving pretentious food, so you might as well pick any other one (or this one). A shame to leave this review. Would have loved to love it.

What a rip off! After all the positive reviews I saw here I figured I'd give it a try. For €21,- these two sandwiches are ridiculous. Bread doesn't taste fresh, the "schnitzel* on the pork katsu is very average and the sandwiches are very small. Will never come back here again...

Excellent service, delicious coffee. Both espresso and filtered, very well made. Also impecable cardamon bun! Got one fresh out of the oven that was a piece of heaven! The internal ambiance is very classy. Went there alone in the morning but would totally go for an early dinner in good company.

I’m yet to try dinner, but during the day when this place is a cafe it is definitely worth a visit. Kind staff, good coffee, delicious cardamon buns, modernly cosy, and nice background music. All in all, a place to go back to!

Great Coffee + cinnamon or cardommon bun! Also a few sandwiches! Did not try the dinner but I’ve heard is also quite good (fine dinning)

Had an amazing dinner here the other night. Every dish is well presented and was surprising, be it in taste or presentation. I particularly loved the dry-aged sea-bass and the potato dessert. Staff was friendly and explained every dish. The food was served at a timely manner with one time between courses where the waiting was a bit longer than comfortable. We didn't drink alcoholic beverages so can't really judge their wines. But we could overhear the sommelier advicing and pairing wines to the courses for the table next to us. The people at that table seem extremely satisfied. They change parts of their menu every couple of weeks and in a month or so their entire menu could be completely new. To top things off, their coffee is amazing. Definitely would go again.

Great coffee and cinnamon buns. Place is really nice and comfy. I hope i will have opportunity to come again for a dinner. Edit: went for dinner also :) food was in overall good, especially for the price. There was some dishes that lacked depth but other was nicely balanced and executed well. For the price of 50-60e per person to be able to try 6-7 different dishes i think it's good value but don't expect michelin star level.

Hybrid of a coffee place during the day and wine bar/restaurant in the evenings. We came for dinner and here is what I can say: We did a spontaneous walk in due to late arrival at Schiphol and got a nice table without problems. The atmosphere was relaxed, with nice staff serving us and an international crowd. As the huge floor to ceiling wine vault clearly indicates this place is serious about wine and so are we. The wine list is pretty much epic, with a huge selection of grower champagne and fine Domaines from Burgundy. We started with a bottle of rose champagne that matched just perfectly with the first snacks arriving at our table. For mains we switched to an entry level PYCM, which was again a pleasure. Mark ups were very friendly as far as I checked. Also, the list is online on their website which is always great for some research in advance. The food was really good, especially the main dish with poached cod in eel bone veloute. I would not have minded being served such a dish in a one Michelin star restaurant. Given the well curated (and very fair priced) wine list and the fine food this is a place I can recommend without hesitations and I am sure I will come again when in town.

If you want to have a unique experience with creative and deliciously well-balanced food, this is the place to go. The natural wine selection was very good as well. We had a 7-course dinner with different types of natural wine pairing from different parts of Europe. All the dishes were really good, but the dessert was the star of the night - it had douglas fir (Christmas tree leaves), which I never thought was edible. (Side note: they make amazing cinnamon buns during the day, and we got them as complimentary treats on our way out..). Highly recommend this restaurant!

The service here is absolutely out of this world. The barista was super friendly and interested in engaging with the customer. Can definitely recommend the batchbrew and the cardamom buns. 10/10

Fine-dining experience in a laid-back and rather friendly and humble environment. The space is a canvas, if you will, letting the food express itself. The tasting menu was exquisit; the tasting experience was carefully designed. Full of amazing surprises and emotions. Highly recommend to check out the spirits on the little shelf.

Incredible interior for a Swede on his way to Sweden. Well incredible for anyone to be honest. Friendly staff, wonderful coffee and cinnamon buns. I would come back as often as I could. Didn't try food as the kitchen was closed.

Incredible dining experience. I loved every single aspect: the food, the wait staff, the chefs. The menu offers an interesting take on traditional Portuguese dishes. Five courses for under 50€. And, of course, the bread is amazing.

Hands down, my absolute favourite cafe in the world, and one of, if not the best cafe in town. I usually come in for coffee; the quality is always very high and their buns are amazing. I tried their saffron buns, and it was probably my favourite pastry I have ever tried. Perfect amount of sweetness, warmth and texture. The atmosphere inside is very cozy, it’s not loud and I can have my most peaceful moment here.

I come here often, I love the team that is working there, always friendly, kind, they make you feel welcome. The coffee (flat white for me) is perfect, so good. And they have lovely cinnamon buns. I highly recommend this place in Oost.

One of the best places in Amsterdam for good coffee. Coffee selection is good, alternatives for mill available. Bonus is that they have nice cinnamon buns or cardamon buns to enjoy. For breakfast they also do a slide of bread with cheese. Delicious.

The flat white latte art is super beautiful, and the coffee is delicious too! I came here to drink it two days in a row in Amsterdam! Highly recommended!🥰

Very much enjoyed the food. We tried the whole menu. Lamb tartare was a stand out but it was all very tasty. Good recommended two nice glasses of wine as well. For the connaissuers there is a wide range of wines on offer. Service was very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

The food was interesting and they had a nice selection of wines. But I went there with a very picky eater and she was not as satisfied as me. I would definetly recommend checking their menu in advance as if you have different dietary restrictions this might not be the place for you. If you are a curious gourmand like me, then this place it is for you indeed.

Amazing filter coffee and the cinnamon buns were some of the best I’ve had so far. The staff has a lot of knowledge about coffee, and were incredibly kind and welcoming. A must visit if you’re in Amsterdam 🤗

Coffee’s great, though they do not do iced ones. Cinnamon rolls are the Swedish kind and perfect (though not warm). Table service seems random. You might get it, or not, possibly depending on how busy the wait staff are or how blue the sky is or whether the birds are singing or not. So the easiest thing to do is walk up to the counter and place your order than wait an indiscriminate amount of time to get your food. We got our food after 15 mins. The table next to ours got waited on immediately 🤯 and served after 5. Terrace gets a good amount of sun and foot traffic.

Amazing wine list (great Jura and Burgundy) representation, mostly natural but some classics as well. Most of the dishes were very good with complex taste and multiple layers of flavor. Great service and overall vibe. Highly recommended

Always a great experience here. The food will challenge your taste buds, but you will never with anything but a smile on your face and a full belly. Great food with excellent wine pairings backed by an amazing sommelier and knowledgeable staff who are more than happy to answer any questions and guide you on your tasting journey.

The service was amazing and the staff is really knowledgable about the food and the wine. The menu will evolve and change over time but when I went the Sardine and Potato’s are amazing and the flavours and textures throughout the meal is a really good experience.

Discovered cardamom buns here, changed my life

The coffee is great, but as many reviewers already mentioned: the staff is the rudest you can get in Amsterdam. And that says something. Today it was pouring rain and at 08:55 I walked past. Two customers were sitting outside with a cup of coffee. Great! I opened the door and before I could even say something the woman shouted 'ITS NOT 9 WE ARE NOT OPEN'. Baffled I closed the door and was basically forced to wait outside like a child that was sent to the naughty corner. No thank you.

By far best coffee in Amsterdam. And the cinnamon/cardamon buns are amazing as well (Actually the wine and food too ;)) Just everything about it. Truly recommend.

Food prepared with great care and inventiveness. I enjoyed all of the seafood course - a testament to the chef as I'm not partial to it. Service was very friendly and helpful.

Incredible tasting menu and a wine list that rivals the best restaurants I've personally been to. An absolute treat i would be keen to repeat. Staff are kind and knowledgeable, taking a great experience to the next level.

We had lunch in this restaurant outside the center of Amsterdam. It’s a fusion style cuisine with asiatic influences. We tried all sharing degustation plates and everything was special and delicious. We’ll definitely come back for a diner experience.

We had a beautiful dinner at 4850 !! I must say buckwheat caramel ice cream is most interesting beautiful and exciting dessert i have ever eaten in my life. I have no words for carrots,it was made beautifully with sabayon;softest duck, melting in mouth… Extraordinary, beautifully balanced wine paring with each course! thanks for this amazing experience.

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
