Waterstones Amsterdam is great for people who want English books. They have many types of books. There's a small manga section with popular mangas. The staff is nice. But there's not much seating to read before buying.

Super cute store with sales and a nice selection of books. A lot of poetry, feminism and fiction 💕 and cat themed 🐱 (bags and books)

Nice English book store. With four floors , different genres , souveniers, board games, notebooks. There is a big section of fantasy. There is a small section with mangas, another with comics, Harry Potter merchandising, Language books, dictionaries, cooking, gardering.

Such a great bookstore! There’s a great variety of books to choose from. The staff are very friendly and it’s located at a great location. The only downside is that there was not a specific section for romance books as there was for horror books or fantasy. The romance books were on the ground floor without a label to them and just scattered. I hope Waterstones Amsterdam can fix this as all Waterstones I’ve been to have a huge romance section.

This place is a must visit for all book lovers. It’s right outside the Rokin Metro station. This place has a total of 3 floors with books available for readers of all taste and languages. One can easily spend an entire day in here if they love books and reading. You can also find some great gifting ideas here. Do visit this place if you are in the vicinity.

I have known the store for many years. The basement floor is where all the action is, featuring a large section for kids. The top floor houses a small coffee house with seats overlooking Trafalgar Square. This place has a certain charm to it.

A magical place. Enormous selection of books of any category and preference. Always something new to find, but don't worry - all the great authors are always there too! It's a real gem on a busy Kalverstraat

We were so glad we found Waterstones In Amsterdam. Four levels of beautiful books and gifts

A wide selection of english books and hidden nooks. Definitely not wheelchair accessible as this store spans three or four floors. Customers should note there arent any bathrooms or reading areas as space here is dedicated solely to more bookshelves. Which is laudible in itself. My only complaint would perhaps be enforcement of number of customers browsing at one time during covid-19. Staff are solid and helpful, and they maintain a habit of useful little blurbs by the store keepers on randomly selected books. Really enjoyed that. Added a personal touch to the selection process.

Quite good placement and naming of sections. Easy to navigate. But again have collections of popular books only. So if you want to read unpopular opinions it is not the place to go...

This bookstore is amazing! It has several floors (4 or 5, I don't remember correctly) with various genres. The organization is exquisite and it's really easy to browse to find the category we're looking for. I loved it and I will most definitely make regular visits when in Amsterdam.

The best English book store in Amsterdam! They have almost any book you can imagine and a great selection of gifts and book related items. The staff is very friendly and always goes out of its way to help you and assist you. You can spend as much time as you like browsing the books and nobody will bother you.

This store is a hidden gem in a busy shopping street. Walking through the different floors was like being back in one of their stores in London and the store clerk was super nice!

Lovely place if you like books. Waterstones have almost everything one can remember to buy of best literature. The rest they will order. One may have the impression that not all people working there may like books for their attitude

Literally the best store in town. I love the incredibly helpful staff and their book collection is amazing. Whenever I am at Waterstones I feel at ease. I recommend going on weekdays between 11-15 as it’s not as busy during those hours!

Fabulous bookstore, a 3 storey building with all English literature to fill a lifetime. It was a wonderful find, in the center of Amsterdam.

Best English bookstore in Amsterdam. Huge selection in a beautiful building. Exploring the different floors is an experience in itself.

Poor selection, really high prices and bad service. A book was listed as in stock at this location but when I went to pick it up it was reserved by another buyer in the back stock. Update your inventory systems. I’ll happily keep shopping for books on Amazon in the meantime.

I love this bookstore, every time I happen to be in the city center I go inside! They have a wide selection of books and the shop is beautifully organized!

A nice and well-organized bookstore. Many nice and lovely children books/dolls, it was a surprise for me as a traveler. I’d love to come back again next time.

Since a few weeks they rearranged the first floor. Which resulted in more space for the fantasy/ sci-fi books. I must say this is an improvement. It is always crowded but now i have a bit more space to look for books. Sometimes the paperbacks of new books are a bit later than in other bookstores . But in general I like Waterstones very much

What a cool bookstore! It’s right in the center so it’s easy to get to. It spans 4 stories of books so there’s something for everybody here. The staff is friendly and they keep it rather quiet especially compared to the bustle of outside.

👍👍 The shop is great. I wish there was a shop like this in every city. The employer Marc is the best, and he knows so much stuff about magazines I’ve never heard of. Super good at presenting magazines. Could not leave the shop without buying an incredible book on queer culture. 😎

👍 I got the digital card, but I’m reviewing here so I can give my thoughts. I bought the 72 hour card, which initially looked quite pricy until I found out the usual ticket prices of the museums here. The card saved me a lot of money and allowed me to visit places I’d normally be priced out of, like t...
