You can't really tell from the outside but it's actually the coolest tea shop ever. Downstairs you have a great selection of teas. The owner is the nicest, chillest guy ever, which is saying something in a country of nice people. There's a tiny tea room upstairs that you can have coffee/tea and homemade pastries. We got 3 amazing typical Danish pastries coffee and tea for 13 euros. He also gave us a mini lecture on the history of the small house with really old photos from centuries ago. I highly highly recommend that you stop by here for a cup of tea if you're in Amsterdam.

This has to be one of the best finds ever in Amsterdam and is a very small house located on three floors. The ground floor shop has many, many varieties of tea for sale, all lose and is sold by weight so that you can take a small amount home to try. The other floors are where you can have afternoon tea and what a great afternoon tea it is! During the tea you are given advice on the actual drinking tea and after the meal you are given a short and interesting history of the building. Owners Niels ( his apple pie is wonderful!!) and Kirsten along with Ann-Marie their lovely assistant are passionate about tea and providing a first class experience. This establishment is worthy of more than five stars. Can HIGHLY recommend a visit here to others and we are so looking forward to our next visit. Thank you so much!!! 🙂👍🌟

The Smallest House has the nicest little tea shop with the most lovely woman running the place. So if you like tea then stop in and pick up a few like I did. An Amsterdam Chai, who doesn't like Chai and an Amsterdam Earl Grey were on my list including a Rembrandt blend for my doctor who worked miracles with my health.

AMAZING place for thee lovers like us, great selection of herbs, perfect also for a special gift! Located in the cutest little house well known as the smallest house in Amsterdam. Excellent and super friendly service. I will go back for sure in my next visit to Amsterdam.

We had a delightful time and enjoyed a wide variety of tea and delicious (most homemade) sweet and savory treats. The proprietor shared the history of the house and the tea business. A lovely afternoon.

Nothing but quality and excellent customer service from this historically rich and unique establishment - we have been returning customers for many years. I live on the other side of the country, but whenever I visit Amsterdam, I always try to grab our much-loved favourites, as well as try some new teas. Niels and his team are passionate about tea and have a wealth of information to share. Samples of everything so you can smell the different teas. Highly recommended for all tea aficionados who also like to see true Amsterdam heritage in miniature size. This place really is something else. 🩷

Great little spot to learn about tea with a personable Dutch experience. We enjoyed our afternoon tea immensely and are enjoying the tea we purchased too. Thanks Kirsten!

Defenetly my favorite teashop of Amsterdam. Every time I come to the city I go get some nice tea from there. The owner is an incredible person and you can make sure he will be patient enough for you to find the right tea you want eventhough there are a lot of clients. The atmosphere of the shop is timeless. The sucess of this tiny shop is deserved 🍂 so please be patient and appreciate the time you wait to get in because it preserve the atmosphere of this place.

This was amazing. The owner, Nils(sp?) was very nice and hospitable. Talked to us about the history of the house and families that lived there. Make sure to pay them a visit and buy some tea. It was one of our favorite off the beaten path tours

An amazing experience and the highlight of our trip to Amsterdam - booked a tea tasting masterclass and had a great time. Niels was a fantastic host and we really enjoyed hearing about the history of the house, as well as the different teas. A great way to spend an afternoon, would highly recommend

My favorite teashop in Amsterdam. The owner makes sure to give you the best experience and information. When I was in the shop, I have got to know and smell the teas while having a nice conversation. This little teashop is characterized by the cozy feeling it exudes, the nice and round scents from the teas, the welcome atmosphere, and the excellent service. You would feel like (and you are) the focus when you were choosing your teas. Through my online orders, I could see how the owner expresses her thoughtfulness and her heart not only when I was in the store but also when she prepared the nicely packaged tea orders.

Stopped in for just a few minutes to buy some tea. The lovely owners were so helpful and kind! Will be back to visit again when I can make a reservation to sit and enjoy tea there.

I’ve ordered gift card for my friend as a surprise. First of all they didn’t even bother to inform me that it was delivered, second of all they didn’t write the greeting text to my friend which I asked to write, third I bought the gift card for two persons but it wasn’t mentioned on the gift card and also it wasn’t very clear what it is at all and how it should be used. So I was thinking my friend didn’t even get the package, but after I asked her she said she did but didn’t even recognize what it is, from who and why, she was just thinking it is a marketing trick... So my surprise didn’t go as planned at all. Hopefully at least the activity itself will be nice…

Unfortunately the tea house was already closing so I was not able to try their tea and cake, but at least I bought some loose leaf tea. The owner was so kind! I hope I'll have the opportunity next time.

Absolutely delightful experience! My sister and I popped in on a rainy Monday and were so warmly welcomed by Anne-Marie! She truly made our stay wonderful and we were thrilled to find egg-allergy friendly cakes too that day :) It truly is a hidden gem of Amsterdam and is made worthwhile because of the incredibly kind and talented staff! The tea is amazing too obviously

The owners were very kind and friendly and there were variety of teas. I asked for some classic Dutch teas and the owners showed me a number of teas, explained one by one, and let me smell them. I am happy with the tea I bought. I also sat inside and had tea with apple pie, which tasted great. I had house blend white tea and it was so nice. Although the stairs were steep, it was not stuffy inside and was cozy.

3 girlfriends and I had the best time here! The owners are beyond kind and spend over an hour chatting with us about the house, the city and their lives! We couldn’t recommend a better place to have a wonderful experience! I purchased a black tea (recommended by the owner) for my mom, and she can’t get over how amazing it is! I also got their “house blend” and it’s one of my favorite teas!

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
