Cant say its a nice hotel, first its very weird to walk past people drinking in the bar to go up to the rooms, and staircase is very cramped. The rooms was of an ok size, but cleanliness is an average. Bedsheets towels everything used by the guest was clean. But bed skirt and ceiling liner had dirt stains and lots of dust on them. Breakfast was good and had a good selection made to order as its a 6room hotel.

This place is fantastic!!! Great location, super clean, very friendly staff, amazing breakfast, and the rooms are very comfortable (large for Europe) she has everything you could possibly need. ( fun soaps, shampoos and even chocolate or chips for that night time craving) 😜

Disclaimer: I can only share the experience I have made. It agrees with the negative feedback that has been shared on booking websites, however there has also been positive feedback about this location. I have stayed in this “hotel” for three nights and can definitely not recommend it. Even before we arrived, it did not make a good impression. When I called them to ask a question, I got the response “I guess you have to trust my word” and the person hung up. When I booked, I put my credit card details into their system. Two days before I arrived, I received an invoice asking to pay the amount - four and a half months after I have booked. When I called the next day, they told me we could go over it when I arrived. One day before my arrival, I received another invoice which was 40€ higher that what I have booked for because the hotel miscalculated the city tax. Again, this was four and a half months after I have booked and only the day before I arrived. That way I was not given the opportunity to cancel or to find another accommodation. When you get into the hotel, you enter a cocktail bar. The bar is quite busy at nights, so it feels weird to pass by the visitors and go through a back door to get to you room. Our room had some trash on the floor, the shower was calcified and it felt more like a hostel than a boutique hotel. When I pointed that out to the owners, I was told that it will be taken care of - well, nothing happened… The bathrooms were really not what you would expect - this is probably also why they do not have pictures of them online. Given the price we had to pay, it was audacious with everything going on. In correspondence with the hotel owners, I said that it cannot be the case that one day they ask me to pay more than I have booked for because they made a mistake and did not find it until one day before arrival. They were not forthcoming at all, did not apologise for the inconvenience (which is honestly a must in the hospitality industry) and did not even think about making up for the mistake. I ended up paying for the mistake the hotel did so our stay would not be ruined and I did not even receive a “thank you”… To say something positive as well: The location is very central, the bed is comfortable and the two people taking care of the breakfast were very kind. However, given the experience I have made, I can not recommend you to stay at this location when you visit Amsterdam. It is way too expensive for what you get.

Updating as I returned here again in 2023. I enjoyed it just as much as the first time, great central location and the owners were absolutely fantastic to deal with as they were doing some small renovations on the bar and even arranged for us to eat breakfast at the cafe next door so we weren't interrupted. Definitely an experience with the Amsterdam stairs but even after some (many 😅) drinks I was able to manage them no problem. We were in a canal facing room over a weekend and while there was some noise it was easily drowned out by the white noise machine provided in the room. Will continue to return when we visit Amsterdam

Amazing location, and very considerate, attentive staff, particularly in the morning with the very nice breakfast. Some little details were very thoughtful - like a white noise in the room to cancel out street sounds. Some little details were missed - very cold in the room as radiators were turned off when we arrived, neither of the bedside lamps worked, shower gel and shampoo is great but there is no conditioner. Even with those little things missed, we still had a lovely stay, I would happily recommend it, and would definitely stay there again.

My experience was unpleasant because of different reasons. This place would be better if they put effort in. I do not recommend staying here but it is not an awful place. - The owner made me and my wife feel extremely uncomfortable when we were trying to check in. It felt like we were bothering him for being there 5 minutes before check-in time. It was weird and odd. He made us wait for no reason and we were alone in the downstairs bar. Such strange behavior for a hotel aka hostel. - The room was super dusty. Like no one has cleaned the surfaces for several months. The bathroom was small but it’s Amsterdam so nothing out of the norm. You don’t have a closet in your room and it just feels like a cheap hostel. - They should say something about the stairs. They are extremely steep and narrow. This is quite normal in Amsterdam but they should make everybody aware of it. - The location is pretty good but you can go to a real hotel for a little bit more. The area is noisy but it is located centrally. - The downstairs bar didn’t bother me but I understand how some people may feel uncomfortable. - The service guys are nice and the bring your luggage up for you and they make breakfast for you. The portion is kind of small.

Fantastic location! Amazing service at the facility, both lodging and restaurant/bar; "everyone" is simply exceptional. They set a really high bar when it comes to customer service. The rooms are cozy, clean and very comfortable. Well insulated from any external noise. Train and Metro stations are less than 10 minute walks. Continental breakfast served with custom egg preparations like Omelettes. The bar serves probably one of the finest drinks and cocktails you will find anywhere. The ambiance is unique and very cool. Know that it's not a restaurant to dine though. The owners and staff are simply the best at ensuring their customers are well taken care of. Will definitely stay here. Every. Visit.

Wonderful place - would stay again in a heartbeat. Staff were attentive, friendly and on point, rooms were interestingly decorated, and the drinks at the cocktail bar downstairs were some of the best we had our whole trip.

Great boutique B&B right in the heart of Amsterdam. Really friendly staff and a great breakfast. We found our room a little snug and there wasn't very many places to put things, especially in the bathroom, but it was a lovely place to stay, really comfy big bed and would absolutely go back again.

Great fun in Amsterdam! Charming hidden gem in the middle of city center. Our rooms were lovely and overlooked canal. Perhaps our favorite was returning in the evening to the lively cocktail bar. It was small and intimate with a selection of unique drinks! I definitely recommend this for those that are looking for something a little unique.

Always an excellent experience staying at Rosalia's! The staff is amazing...excellent cocktails and delicious food. I love that each room has it's own 'special'. Will definitely be back for another staycation!

Nice boutique hotel in prime neighborhood (red light district). Right on a very old canal. Bar on the ground floor is amazing and guests can get a reservation. Rooms are small, typical for urban hotel. Steep stairs to the rooms. Would definitely stay there again

Absolutely loved this little hotel in Centrum. Beautiful, chic, and feels like home. The couple who own it are fantastic, super kind and happy to help however you need. The rooms are charming. The breakfast is delicious. The location is excellent. It's the only place I want to stay in Amsterdam and it's the first place I've stayed! Thank you Rachel and Pipjen!!

The fist question I would ask myself is would I stop here again? And the answer would be a massive Yes! It’s a fantastic location. You get a very spacious room. The staff were very helpful and friendly and it’s was little things when you get back after a long days site seeing and they make a point of saying welcome back that really made the difference. You even get a free mini bar with soft drinks in your room. The only thing I can point out is the stairs to the rooms there very steep and narrow at some points. We was on the top floor ( if you have cases the staff members do take them up to your room for you)

As someone else mentioned, this hotel is not awful, but I will never stay here again. They have a good idea with the bed and breakfast thing. The execution needs to be better. - The breakfast is great. Really friendly and warm kitchen staff. - Check in is clunky. The person at the bar seemed surprised to see me. - The room I stayed in was old, but not in the charming way it was intended. Just kind of creepy and weird. Again, they TRY by putting in a coffee machine, having free snacks and robes. All great, but the bed was absolutely awful. It was the weird single beds that they just push together. Which I get is fairly normal in Europe. The mattress was SO hard, I could have slept on the floor and felt no difference. It just feels like it’s trying to be a boutique hotel. The downstairs is obviously much newer than the rooms. If the two matched it would be great. - Stairs are vertical. Might as well just use a ladder. The staff is very helpful with bags, but I can’t imagine if someone is even a little drunk. - room will be VERY loud all night if you are canal facing. They put a sound machine, but I used ear plugs - walking through the bar seems fun, but it’s not. It’s a popular cute bar, but I missed traditional hotel lobbies. - I interacted with the female owner once, she was very nice. I hope she gets this place up to its full potential by upgrading the rooms.

😐 It is a large, somewhat impersonal, completely unshaded and extremely noisy campsite (we were in the tented section).Noisy because there is a large multi-lane bridge nearby, which is still very busy at night. Also noisy because of the "cigarette smokers". There are no rules and regulations - or if t...
